How I will wear leopard this fall
Happy Thursday! Today, I want to share with you how I will wear leopard this fall.
I definitely will wear leopard this fall…it is a neutral for me…and has been for years.
It Is my favorite animal print, I think because the versions which are mostly brown are in my palette.
And it goes well with my black pants and jeans.
So, let’s begin with how I will wear leopard this fall with a few blasts from the pasts.
I thought you might enjoy walking back with me.
HOW I WILL WEAR LEOPARD THIS FALL: FIRST HOW I WORE IT
These are just a small few of the leopard tops I have worn in the past.
I currently have four leopard tops in my closet that I plan for how I will wear leopard this fall…in a new town.
Two are button downs, one a pullover, and one is a tank for under a third piece.
Because I see leopard as a neutral in my wardrobe, I pair it with almost any color…particularly red, olive, orange and forest greens.
Then I have my wonderful accessories…shoes, boots, bags, poncho, and scarves.
I have an older Chico’s scarf that looks just like this LEOPARD PRINT OBLONG SCARF, except it has no red on the trim. This scarf has sold out….hopefully they plan to make more!
Except for footwear (which moved along after my foot was re-contructed) , I still own all of my leopard accessories and this is one way I will wear leopard this fall.
HOW I WILL WEAR LEOPARD THIS FALL: NEW PURCHASES
Yes, I do love the print, so I added a few new pieces to my wardrobe to wear confidently in my new home this fall.
Talbots Buy one, get one 50% off is really great when you want to purchase more than one piece.
First, I added the THE REVERSIBLE QUILTED VEST
I do not think I will be wearing the black side since that is not my best color, but the leopard Is fun.
I also picked up the CASHMERE V-NECK SWEATER.
I would not have purchased it if I was staying in South Texas, but now that I am going north a bit, I believe I will be able to wear leopard this fall…specifically this leopard.
The another new piece I have added is the JULIET PONTE LEOPARD SLIM ANKLE PANTS.
A few years ago, I had a pair exactly like these and for some reason sent them along their way.
I have missed them, so when I saw these, I said…YES!
I am not one who wears several leopard garments and accessories at the same time, but will wear one with other colors.
My final new addition is this short LEOPARD SILK DIAMOND SCARF.
I began to wear more short neck scarves in the last five years and enjoy to look….even with a long necklace underneath.
I had a $25 coupon that I used on this scarf.
Remember for me, leopard is a neutral and it speaks my style adjectives…adding a bit of creativity to my polished looks.
Some of you may not plan to wear leopard this fall, but I would love to hear from the ones who do.
Any different ideas out there of how you will wear leopard this fall…please share.
Thank you for being here today as we move closer to the official start of fall this weekend! I just adore this time of year!

For all your shopping, please use the links on my SHOPPING PAGE…thank you, thank you to all who shop this way. These provisions are very much needed now more than ever.
All I have is a leopard jacket made out of a cosy soft blanket material feels like soft snuggly with pink out lining the spots. It was a gift.
I would love a tank like u were wearing of dark brown or leopard.
U look so cute in those outfits!
Thank you, Debra. It is a print that I enjoy wearing. Quince has a washable stretch silk v neck tank in leopard that looks like a good one. You can find Quince on my Shopping Links page.
I’m always on the lookout for leopard with a white background rather than brown. However, that color is more difficult to find. I do have a reversible snow leopard and black vest from Appleseed that I’ve worn for several years. I bought a brown leopard cashmere sweater from Talbots several years ago on after winter sale, but I don’t wear it often because it’s too brown for my winter coloring. I need to find a white or gray background scarf since I wear scarves often during cooler weather.
I will keep my eyes open, Celia. If I see something for you, I will let you know!
I too like the print, but not in the brown tones. Last year I found a couple of inexpensive tops at Macys in blue with black leopard print. If the colors lean cool, I’ll wear it, otherwise it doesn’t look good next to my face. I have leopard loafers and a leopard trimmed clutch that I will wear, usually with black or with blue jeans, and they look nice.
It was so fun to see the past of your many leopard looks. I was looking for pants, but broke down and bought fabric to make myself a pair.
I have several leopard pieces and have continued to wear them all along, as they fit my interesting adjective and jazz up a neutral outfit. Like you, I think a little goes a long way, and I wear only one piece at a time. I bought the Talbots vest also, and think it’s really fun. I wear my leopard with rusty reds, bright red, olive and especially love it with an otherwise tonal camel outfit.
Thanks for sharing about the blue, Susan!
Good for you, Kim, that you can do that! I should’ve listened to my mother and learned to sew! But I do love my Chico’s leopard pants.
Thanks for sharing how you style your leopard, Linda. I am looking forward to wearing that vest soon!
I love leopard and have it in many different pieces. This year I got those ponte knit pants from Chicos in leopard. I love them!
I am so glad that I found this page and blog. Happy Thursday!
I have a pair of Vionic pointed-toe flats that I love wearing even though purchased a few years back; they still look great. Whenever I wear them, people always, always compliment them. I love wearing them with almost everything because they make a statement with a plain outfit. I had a pull-over leopard “silk” blouse which, unfortunately, I donated since “growing around the middle,” it became a bit snug…in hindsight, I should have shortened it so it was just below the waist, darn. Leopard wasn’t in when I donated it.
Good work, Pam! Your blog is down-to-earth and always timely.
And we are glad to have you here, Cristie!
I agree that I also experienced constant compliments when I wore my leopard flats. I need a new pair to go with my reconstructed feet…wish I could wear those pointed toe flats…I miss them!
I try to rememer that leopard never really goes out of style, but some years it is more forward in actual trends than others. I am glad I have kept what I did. Thanks for being here.
Leopard prints look great on you. I particularly like the Talbot’s cashmere as it appears not to feature black. Looking forward to seeing you style the pants. I checked them out but they aren’t offered in petite. Just as well as I don’t think I’d often have the occasion to wear them. I have a bunch of leopard print, mostly accessories–flats, loafers, ankle boots, a belt, scarf and bag. One leopard print accessory livens up a tonal outfit perfectly. Also a couple of tops and a Chico’s dress that at least 15 years old. I haven’t’ worn it in years but I tried it on today. It fits perfectly and looks current. It pays to hang on to these pieces. Hope you are progressing will with your moving prep.
Yes to the Dress, Kathie!! How wonderful that it still fits!
You look great in leopard! I liked the jacket you have, the pic where you are standing by an umbrella. This is a look I have to pass on, not for me…….but thanks for sharing
I bought a long, fuzzy Chicos vest at Goodwill , but when I brought it home, I thought I looked like Wilma Flinstone-NOT the look I was going for!🤣
You are welcome, Nancy! That is a Vince Camuto shirt that I wear as a jacket in warmer weather.
I have a couple of leopard print tops that I enjoy wearing, but my favorite are my leopard print Vans. Those are fun to wear, especially since they are unexpected on my 76 year old feet!
Thanks for sharing, Sandy!
