Today’s 2024 Fashion Trends: Matching Sets points have been building in popularity and variety throughout 2024.
Women are turning to the comfortable matching sets for comfort, casual wear and for travelwear.
Some of the higher quality brands are pricey, but do wear well.
And I am thrilled today to bring to you an affordable option.
I know some of you believe the matching sets are too much like pajamas, but others find the matching sets to be very chic.
Let’s begin with my new discovery for you….so get comfy and let’s talk 2024 Fashion Trends: Matching Sets, All Price points.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: MATCHING SETS, AN AFFORDABLE OPTION
I am actually wearing this brand in my opening picture today in a size large.
In September, I attended my DIL’s baby shower and the more expensive brand of the matching sets was being discussed by a group of ladies (all over 50) at the shower.
One of the women, is a very classy well-known women in San Antonio, and does not really need to go this direction (however, I find that many wealthier people are very frugal).
But, she shared that she had purchased this matching set on Amazon to check it out and found it to be the same quality and comfort.
I was intrigued, so I ordered one and it feels exactly the same! I am very impressed with the fit and quality of the line and at around $46 for the set!
In the top two pictures, you are looking at the SeeLuNa Women’s Two Piece Set which comes in ten color options.
They recently re-stocked…perhaps for the holidays…but when I shopped after her recommendation, it was only available in black…I wish I had the navy or even the red.
I can now say after wearing it for a couple of months, that I highly recommend.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: MATCHING SETS, THE ONE WHO STARTED IT
This is the matching set from Frank & Eileen, and I first introduced you to it in this post Timeless Comfort: Frank & Eileen.
I am wearing the marine navy in this picture and I do love these sets. Though for some I know they are pricey.
I wear mine around the house and to run errands…They are comfortable for travel.
You can see go here for the Frank & Eileen Travel Sets.
2024 fashion trends brought in the matching sets at the beginning of the year and the popularity continues.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: MATCHING SETS, OTHER BRANDS
Some of your favorite brands have also introduced matching sets…some with amazing fabric feel, like Talbots.
You should stop by and at least touch or try on the Talbots Travel Capsules…they feel amazing.
They sell as separates, but in matching colors.
You know me…I love beautiful browns.
That is one color availablity in the J.JILL PURE JILL AFFINITY COLLECTION…great comfort and separates available in matching colors.
Of course, my 2024 Fashion Trends on matching sets must include the Spanx Air Essentials.
I love how these clothes feel and they are worth the price if you are looking for great style and excellent fabric.
I purchased my matching sets during the time of my recovery from two operations…and they were everything I wanted them to be.
I am glad to still own them and will wear throughout the colder weather.
You can also create matching sets with Chico’s Zenergy and Athleta separates called the New Cozy.
In December of 2023, I wrote that these were the ones to watch in addition to what I have mentioned here, so you may want to check them out as well:
The matching sets are quite popular and earn their place in the 2024 fashion trends…you may want one on your gift list.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: BLENDING THE TRENDS
I want to make sure an share this topper I saw on J.Jill sense it is the perfect combination of two 2024 fashion trends: tweed and fringe.
This is the J.Jill Wearever Fringe Tweed Topper, and the video online is worth watching how it moves.
It is fun when we see 2024 fashion trends get married!

I was encouraged to explain more about my SHOPPING LINKS page and how to use it.
I am an affiliate for many different brands and when you click on those brands and shop, then I receive a small commission.
This is such an important income for me and my family.
I have tried to include the brands most shopped by this audience, but sometimes I miss one of your favorites.
If you will tell me what you are shopping, then I can tell you if I am affiliate for them and give you that link…if it is not already on the page.
And remember to send your holiday recipes and decorations with pictures to over50feeling40@gmail.com. Send to email and do not try to put in comments! YOU are the best.
I fell in love with the Spanx scuba fabric but could never justify the price. I purchased a set from Chicos which was good but the winner was Scoop by Walmart if you can believe it. SAME fabric and good tailoring. Their pants run very long so I returned the flare leg for a cropped pant and it is perfect. All for about $40. I still can’t get over it.
Good morning! I have been MIA on the blog the last few days, but have enjoyed catching up with the news (always a treat), kindness ( so important to continue role modeling that trait), and fall toppers (love all those fall jackets). Matching sets are interesting. They can run the gambit from old ladyish to up-to-date chic. I believe it is all in the cut, color, and styling. I would have to wear it under a contrasting third piece or really shoosh it up with scarfs. I tend to feel boring all in one color. You linked to wonderful and contemplative choices, and you look comfy in yours. . Have a great weekend!
Good Morning, Susan! Thanks for sharing this with us. I will check this out! I do have an affiliate link for Walmart here.

I mostly wear them around the house. But if I decide to wear out for travel or errands, I would definitely support adding an accessory. Also, if you click through to the Amazon option, that company does have one in full length pants.
Thanks Deborah.
I love the matching sets! I work in a very small town, in a high school counseling office so dress is fairly casual. I have a hard time not wearing a set several times a week.😊
That’s great, Missy. Love to hear when there are women wearing the matching sets and loving them.
I’d love a Frank and Eileen linen set, the price is a bit much. Not saying it wouldn’t be worth it…
I do love the Frank & Eileen set that I have though it is not linen…and their marine navy color is wonderful.
I like this, and especially like the styling of Chico’s Zenergy line. I think most of the style look more polished than what other lines offer but sadly its all too long on me. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the new owners will realize they are missing a big petite market and start offering more style in petite sizing. If & when they do I’d definitely be in the market for a matching set. I’d also wear it with a third layer, probably a vest. I have a couple pair of the Pure Jill knit pants that I’ve had for at least 7 years and wear several days a week for yoga and pilates so they’re in the wash every week. They’ve held up remarkably well and are polished enough that I don’t feel I’m in gym clothes when I run errands after my class. They were an excellent purchase. Happy Saturday.
Thanks for joining in, Kathie. Happy Saturday!
😄 When I read “sets” I thought you would be featuring sweater sets, which I have always loved as I find they make a classic statement. My latest was the Adriatic blue tee you mentioned again yesterday (so agree, both beautiful and comfortable) matched to the cardigan in same color, both J.Jill. The athleisure style sets aren’t a big draw for me, but I do like a winter sweater skirt and sweater when I can locate them.
Happy soggy Saturday from Oregon! 💕
Enjoy your rain…Texas can always use more. Thanks Connie.
I wish I’d had one of these sets for all the air travel I’ve done this year. I don’t like to wear cropped pants, but I really like the look of the Spanx options and they are more affordable than I expected. I also love some of the JJill options, especially the Affinity pants with the matching tops, or coordinated with their whipstitched sweater. I’d love that navy/tan combo and if I also bought the solid navy pieces I can see a weekend capsule wardrobe for all sorts of casual trips. Thanks for giving us options at so many price points. These would make fantastic gifts for girlfriends or family members! Good to know you have a Walmart link – I’ll start using it right away. I also watched the video for the JJill tweed topper, and you’re right – it moves beautifully, not at all stiff like some tweed toppers. If it came in other color options I’d be very tempted. Weekend blessings to you and this wonderful community you’ve created!
You will laugh but I just used your Walmart link to buy tea and lemonade for the HOA Friendsgiving dinner tomorrow! I will check out their sets another day but good to know about them. I have been on the lookout for an athleisure outfit that I can afford for just hanging at home. Walmart is five minutes from my house. I also love the $46 set from Amazon but they only show sizing for the top. I need to see the waist size and inseam as well for the pants. I have ordered from Amazon before and found the waist is very tiny and the pants about six inches too long.
I would also love to see it in other colors…I might have ordered then!
I find this Amazon set very true to size, Sydney. I am sitting here watching my football team wearing mine…it’s very comfy. Thanks for shopping with my Walmart link!
Do like matching sets as feel they can be ideal for those who wish a capsule wardrobe however IMHO one should be cautious of their style, as can appear to mirror ‘scrubs’. With that being said; I recently purhased two sets of knitted sweater types (The Gap/Cash Soft selection/numerous options) for home wear and am impressed with their quality and casual aesthetics. -Brenda-
P.S.: Also plan to wear them to be part of my indoor wardrobe that I will be pairing with cozy footwear (and minimal jewelry) during a 3-day open house that my son is planning for the New Year holiday celebrations at his country place; that will also involve such outdoor activities as a sleigh ride, ice skating, snowmobiling, mini snowman contest for the children etc.
