2025 Fashion Trends: Ruffles

2025 fashion Trends

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Today, we look at RUFFLES in the 2025 Fashion Trends.

Remember, when we look over the 2025 fashion trends to make sure you consider the style messages the trend sends to others about you.

That helps you to determine if the trend is right for you.

Many of the blog followers have shared with me that one of your style adjectives is FEMININE.

Often you are pairing it with other adjectives to create a personal style that says you are a strong, elegant, feminine woman.

Ruffles just may be for you.  They appeared more in the trends last year and are carried into the 2025 fashion trends.

This means you will see more options from many brands.

Now, let’s look over the garments I believed you would want to see today in the 2025 Fashion Trends: Ruffles.

2025 FASHION TRENDS: RUFFLES ROUND ONE

2025 fashion Trends

This first blouse with ruffles today is at Kohl’s in the Jaclyn Smith collection.

There are two styles, but I thought you might prefer seeing the WOMEN’S JACLYN SMITH RUFFLE FRONT BLOUSE WITH CAMI in the ivory.

And click to see more KOHL’S RUFFLE TOPS.

When I visited Dillard’s this week, I saw many 2025 fashion trends…and lots of ruffles.

The dress on the mannequin is the GIBSON & LATIMER WOVEN FLORAL PRINT POPLIN V-NECK MIDI DRESS…offered in three color combination.

You will find other ruffle options at DILLARD’S DRESSES WITH RUFFLES.

Macy’s is a leader in stocking 2025 fashion trends.

And they are ready with ruffles.

Macy’s On 34th collection has been one place to find the most current, affordable pieces at Macy’s.

This top is the ON 34TH WOMEN’S EMBROIDERED CHIFFON RUFFLE-NECK TOP in washed white…it also comes in black.

Though my style adjectives do not include feminine, I do believe the ruffle neck designs speak to my polished, current, and creative messages.

Tops such as this one are great ways to wear ruffles with a third piece like a jacket or cardigan.

This is the MACY’S VINCE CAMUTO WOMEN’S SOLID SLEEVELESS RUFFLED TOP.

I have a top similar to this in a redwood color that I enjoy wearing with a blazer and jeans.

This is a good way for me to look current in a trend.

2025 FASHION TRENDS: RUFFLES ROUND TWO

2025 fashion trends

Round two for our 2025 fashion trends in ruffles covers two of your favorite brands.

Let’s begin with Chico’s…where you can currently find TOPS WITH RUFFLES at great sale prices.

The feature look here is one I liked with denim…

It is the CHICO’S FLORAL GEORGETTE RUFFLE NECK BLOUSE with the warmer shade of white called English Cream for the base color.

2025 fashion trends

In their first collection of the year, Talbot’s featured 2025 fashion trends and ruffles.

This first top is the TALBOTS RUFFLE TOP FLORAL MEDALLION….in a color combo called Mulberry Wine and Rose Sorbet.

2025 Fashion Trends

Another good look with jeans featuring ruffles in the 2025 fashion trends.

This is the TALBOTS DENIM RUFFLE TOP WITH SPRING HEARTS.

2025 fashion trends

I included this next top from Talbots because many women who like to wear ruffles, also like to wear floral prints.

This is the TALBOTS RUFFLE SHORT SHIRT in an india ink (navy) print.

Short shirt lengths are also continued into the 2025 fashion trends.

Thank is all I have for you today in the 2025 Fashion Trends.

We began last Saturday with 2025 FASHION TRENDS: ACCESORY UPDATES.

Leave your thoughts…and hopefully I will see you tomorrow for Sunday Reflections.  Until then….

  1. Hi, Pam. I like ruffles if they are not too overwhelming or “fruffy” and juvenile-looking. You have shown some really pretty options here. I like the contrast of a ruffled top with jeans. I have $5 Kohls cash burning a hole in my pocket and might have to get one of those pretty blouses. 😁

  2. I like ruffles as a small detail on a collar or placket. Otherwise, I don’t feel they speak to my adjectives, especially active. I’m passing on this one.

  3. Thanks for sharing, Linda…staying true to our style adjectives helps us know what trends to wear or not. If anyone needs me to talk about style adjectives again, just leave a comment here.

  4. I’ll pass on this trend. Ruffles, like puffed sleeves, don’t fit my adjectives. I like some of the pieces you’ve featured, particularly the Macy’s shirt with the ruffles at the cuff, but would not wear it myself. Likewise the cascading ruffles down the front of blouses. They look nice on others but I they add volume to the chest which I don’t want. I don’t care for the look of printed blouses with ruffles or tiered skirts. Hope this trend is short lived like the recent one for puffed sleeves.

  5. I purchased two different Chico’s “silky” blouses with front ruffles a few years ago and I’m always receiving comments on just how pretty they are! The best part is that I watched online until drastic price mark-downs and have two beautiful bargains….one cream and one red. I follow Chico’s online and make purchases for one-fourth of the original pricing….love that!

  6. I do the same, Margie. And if you sign up for the free Reward program you can save even more. So glad you enjoy your ruffles and you are right on trend!

  7. The Vince Camuto blouse would suit me, in a much softer shade of yellow. Just a touch of draping or simple ruffle is lovely to me. I wanted to thank you for your response yesterday regarding the hydromassage. That sounds like such a treat! I looked up the business, and found one available north of me about an hour+, so it won’t be a weekly subscription, but they do offer a drop-in rate, so I plan to check it out and make a nice day of shopping-strengthening-relaxing very soon. 😊

  8. When i was younger, i liked ruffles but not now. Your choices are nice for those who like them.

  9. I will pass on the ruffles trend. I do think they are pretty & very feminine, & I am sure there are many lovely ladies who will being looking fabulous in them. I am short armed & have a short neck so many ruffled looks make me feel like I am playing dress up. They also don’t speak to my simple & classic adjectives.

  10. The white soft blouse is lovely on the model. I’m a little too busty for front ruffles. They don’t fit my adjectives. Jeans and flannel shirts and sometimes I put a moch neck underneath for warmth like right now with it snowing all night and day and the polar vortex right behind it. I guess I am not a very feminine women as I like simple plain clothes in neutral colors. I wore scrubs for 30 years at work in the hospital and came home and wore bicycle shorts and would go out and ride my bike in warm weather and on my trainer in the living room in the cold. Then shower and change into jeans or shorts and tees. I love seeing fashion and reading about it. I can incorporate many things you show into my simple style now that you show, just not prints or ruffles. Stay warm out there!

  11. I am here to give lots of options for all of the diverse women in this audience who have there on unique personal styles.
    Thanks Sydney!

  12. it’s really nice to see what is trending whether it’s right for each person or not. it’s helpful to see what’s out there.

  13. Talbots February catalog that just came out features a patterned ruffled top on the cover but not much else inside the catalog in the way of ruffles. What is inside the catalog that I’m excited about is lots of the color purple and a return to cotton sweaters and tops as well as mid rise jeans and pants. I’ve been waiting for years for mid rise pants! I request them at every Talbots trunk show. I think Talbots really outdid themselves with this new line coming out and my wishlist is way too long however, no ruffles at this point. Still trying to define my style adjectives but I don’t think feminine is on my list.

  14. I got my catalog today as well, Sonja! On the adjectives just write down all the words you want your clothing to tell others about you without you speaking a word. The list can be long but once you write them all down, look over the words and try to refine them to 5. Start there and see how it feels.

  15. Hi Pam! My biggest problem with the style adjectives is determining if a clothing item actually reflects the adjectives. I can easily see how what you wear speaks your adjectives but can’t seem to do it for myself. I spend a lot of time on catalog returns and things hanging in the closet with tags still on that I never wear. Personally I’d love for you to give a refresher course on style adjectives but I might be the only one having issues. I’m curious- do you find things in your closet with the tags still on and wonder “what was I thinking when I bought that?” I find that so frustrating myself. Thanks for any help you offer! PS – I wish we were watching Texas Monday night. Texas definitely made the SEC proud.

  16. Good morning Pam, I’m a day behind reading your posts. I’m not a ruffle girl, my mom even said as a baby she didn’t like how I looked in ruffles. Yes you do see them in all the stores. Have a great weekend and new week.

  17. I do think that sometimes we know what works for us from childhood and what doesn’t…that is so interesting. Thanks Linda.
