3 ways to shop Dillard’s in January
Happy Thursday, ladies! I invite you to shop with me today as I share 3 ways to shop Dillard’s in January.
Most of you know that I love to shop Dillard’s and am so excited to have one in my new town.
I still enjoy an excellent department store with good customer service, and well stocked departments with top brands.
Many department stores change with the wind, but Dillard’s has remained true to its roots while still staying current for women of any age.
There are three reasons I shop Dillard’s in January and I want to share those with you today.
The first way I shop Dillard’s is, of course, the sales!
The second way I shop Dillard’s is for a new bra (we should all start a new year lifting those “girls” up)
The third way I shop Dillard’s is to see what’s new after the holidays.
I have the pleasure of seeing what you order with my links and that really helps me to know the brands you like most.
When I stopped by Dillard’s this week, I pulled from the brands I know some of you have ordered.
There is a method to my madness with the selections I choose.
So come along with me as I shop Dillard’s today.
3 WAYS I SHOP DILLARD’S IN JANUARY: THE SALES!
Out of the three ways I shop Dillard’s in January, shopping the sale racks is the most fun…and profitable.
The majority of Eileen Fisher pieces I own were purchased on sale at Dillard’s, so I did start with Eileen Fisher on Sale at Dillard’s.
I chose to begin with the EILEEN FISHER GEORGETTE CREPE POINT COLLAR LONG SLEEVE BUTTON FRONT CLASSIC SHIRT.
I own this top in the Redwood Color and have really enjoyed it.
One of the reasons I wanted to show you the dark brown color called “wren” is that most fashion sights are featuring dark brown as a trend color for 2025.
The top at the store had so much static cling, but I did want to attempt to show you what it looks like when worn as a topper..it is a nice piece to consider on sale.
This top on sale from Bryn Walker would be a great piece for transition to spring and I believe would look lovely under a third piece.
This is the BRYN WALKER PRINTED BESS CREW NECK SHORT SLEEVE BOXY FIT SHIRT.
Several of you have ordered before from the Ali Miles collections.
When I shop Dillard’s I almost always look over Ali Miles for reasonable prices on a variety of fun designs.
On the sale racks, the majority of Ali Miles were in prints, but the brand does feature several solid and neutral pieces, and also sells them in petites and plus sizes.
I really liked this bronze top. It is the ALI MILES WIRE COLLAR 3/4 SLEEVE BUTTON FRONT TUNIC, and it comes in six metallic colors.
I am certain I will talk about this in one of the Saturday posts on trends, but a returning trend for 2025 are tunics with leggings.
I have always liked that look, and believe this tunic with either leather, suede or velvet leggings would be quite chic.
Ali Miles button front tops can also be worn like this as a third piece.
This is the ALI MILES PRINTED POINT COLLAR 3/4 CUFFED SLEEVE BUTTON DOWN TOP.
It has a full length zipper down the back that when zipped down to open up, it fits like a tunic.
January is always a good time to pick up sweaters on sale.
This sweater-tunic is an X-Large.
It is the ALI MILES TEXTURED RIBBED KNIT COLOR BLOCK PRINT COWL NECK 3/4 SLEEVE TUNIC.
John Mark on Sale is another brand that several of you have purchased as you shop Dillard’s with my links.
This was my favorite top of the day, and all of the colors in this top are beautiful. I reached for this green, called dark olive….since I love green. But that plum color…so pretty.
It is the JOHN MARK WOVEN VELVET WIRE COLLAR 3/4 ROLLED SLEEVE HI LOW HEM TUNIC.
I love the elegance that a wire collar adds in both Ali Miles and John Mark…such a nice touch to the tunics.
John Mark is also good to offer pieces in all sizes….misses, petites and plus.
John Mark is known for prints, but does have solids and neutrals in their collections.
This top is the JOHN MARK JACQUARD MIXED PRINT MANDARIN COLLAR 3/4 SLEEVE HI-LOW HEM BUTTON FRONT BLOUSE.
I confess that I tried on more of their print tunics, but really believed this is the only one that might be of interest to the audience.
This jacket is cute and would be fun with jeans….but it does run small so keep that in mind.
It is the JOHN MARK QUILTED MULTI PRINT ROUND NECK 3/4 SLEEVE JACKET.
3 WAYS I SHOP DILLARD’S IN JANUARY: BRA FITTING
I probably should have done this BEFORE I tried on clothes, but afterwards I practically ran to the lingerie department.
When I shop Dillard’s in January it is often to begin the year with a bra fitting.
Dillard’s is one of the best places to get a proper fit and find a great selection of bras.
I knew I needed a new bra and I was very picky this time…I wanted “the girls” held high; thick straps; wide strap in back; and a very smooth front.
My wonderful sales associate, Mindy, knew exactly what I needed and after the fitting, she brought me the WACOAL UNDERWIRE SPORT BRA.
I love this bra…I have been wearing Wacoal for years, but this sports design with underwire is exactly what I was looking for right now. Thanks Mindy!
3 WAYS I SHOP DILLARD’S IN JANUARY: NEW DISCOVERIES
When I shop Dillard’s in January, I love to look for new discoveries.
The 4-Way Knit Fabrication from Tommy Bahamas feel just like the comfort wear I have enjoyed from Spanx and a couple of other lines.
So soft…I did not try it on for fit, but if I were shopping new comfort wear this would be a serious consideration.
The top in the picture on the left is the TOMMY BAHAMA PALM VOYAGE KNIT 4-WAY STRETCH JOHNNY COLLAR LONG SLEEVE SWEATSHIRT.
The Bleached Sand color in this top and pant looks beautiful…it was on the table.
I also liked the sweater in this picture and would consider it for a cruise….also, it is on sale.
It is the TOMMY BAHAMA BREEZY BEACH CREW NECK LONG SLEEVE SWEATER.…looks really cute with the light-wash jeans.
Walking out, this lovely Brahmin bag did capture my eye.
In case it captures one of you as well, it is the BRAHMIN MELBOURNE COLLECTION VITALITY EZRA TOTE BAG.
I am not shopping bags right now, but appreciate this as if viewing artwork in a museum.
I am a Dillard’s woman for sure and love to shop Dillard’s in January.
As we move towards spring, I will be going more often.
Let me know if you have any questions about 3 ways to shop Dillard’s in January…and thanks for being here…hopefully I will see you tomorrow…until then…
KEEP SMILING!

Whether shopping new arrivals or clearance sales, please shop with the links on my SHOPPING PAGE…thank you, thank you to all who shop this way.
You look so pretty in the green velvet collar tunic. I think that must be one of your colors. I look forward to reading your blog. Thanks sharing the clothes from DILLARD’S.
Thank you for being here, Brenda and joining in!
Dillards sounds just what all department stores used to be. You are so lucky to have them. I wear Warcoal and have a couple of their sports bras. I love all of their offerings. I was recently fitted for a non-wire support bra to wear on more leisurely days. I think that Brahmin is the most underrated high quality hand bag. I have even leather painted my old ones to colors that I wear. Thank you for the tour!
I’ve shopped Dillard’s since I was young when it was originally Gayfer’s and the first store was in Mobile, Alabama near where I lived. I think the Gayfer’s stores were converted to Dillards, at least in my SE area of the United States, in the 1980’s. I have so many items I’ve bought from a Dillard’s though I have to travel as my nearest store is about 45 miles away. That’s exactly where I went last year for a new bra fitting. And it’s been where I’ve bought mother-of-the-groom dresses, shoes, jewelry, etc. You’ve shown us some lovely tops and I too like the green one in your first picture the best, but in the purple.
Thank you for going on the tour with me! Brahmin bags are so beautiful and I love to walk through the department just to enjoy. Thanks for being here Deborah.
That purple is gorgeous, Celia. I would have pictured it if it was in my size. But this green is wonderful for my color palette. I love the wires in the collar…so chic. Thanks for sharing a little history with us.
The green top is my favorite! You look stunning in it. You have reminded me to go get a bra fitting. Have a beautiful day!
Good! Enjoy your fitting, Marcia! Makes such a difference
Brahmin bags are my favorites, but I’m finding them too heavy these days. That one is lovely! Sooo tempted. You had a good idea to add a bra fitting to the start of the year … just like replacing the smoke alarm battery :). Seriously, though, a new bra is easy to put off, and before you know it, a super saggy, stretched out bra can ruin your whole look. Every once in a while, I look at my lingerie drawer and can hear my mom’s voice, saying, “What if you were in an accident, wearing -those- underpants!”
I knew I needed it for some time but with the busyness of the move had just put it off…I laughed when you compared it to an alarm battery, but it is something we should do often. It is amazing how much smaller our waist will look when we pull up the girls.
That green top looks fabulous on you. I’m very interested in the sports bra and will try it on next time I’m at Dillard’s. I had my last bra fitting at my birthday and highly recommend Dillard’s for this important task. I purchased 2 styles of Wacoal bras and absolutely love them. So comfortable. Also love their cotton panties. Glad you have your favorite department store in Abilene.
So am I, Kathie! Thanks for your comments about the bras. The Wacoal sport is great.
All the outfits are very pretty but my favorites on you are the open jackets. I’ll have to give Dillard a try this spring.
They will have so much to see in the new collections!
What pants are you wearing? They look nice on you. Also, Thanks for the bra suggestion.
Thanks Ann. This is a pair of black denim from Soft Surroundings that I have owned for several years.
