2025 Fashion Trends: Skirts
Happy March 1, ladies! Time for our Saturday feature on 2025 Fashion Trends and today it is all about SKIRTS!
When I research 2025 Fashion Trends, I read many fashion sites, and one in particular said….SKIRTS are having a moment and solidly in the fashion trends catagory.
I will say that I discovered so many skirts for this post that there is no way I could show them all.
There are different price points represented here and styles I thought you may like to see.
Skirts speak femininity and a local boutique owner referred to all of the feminine styles in 2025 fashion trends as “soft power.”
To wear skirts confidently, it helps to understand your body shape and the designs that flatter you the most.
Also, you will find several brands that offer different sizes for misses and petites in the same skirts.
Skirts offer more versatility in our wardrobes over dresses, since these separates can be styled different ways.
So, let’s enjoy looking over skirts in the 2025 fashion trends…and begin to think about the refreshing air of spring ahead.

I love solid color skirts of all lengths to get more wear out of my pretty blouses and tops. They are cool and comfortable in the summer and can maximize your wardrobe. Denim ones especially! Great post!
Love skirts and always have. Such a cool and comfortable choice for summer and a classy look for winter. Getting the right top can be tricky to get the proportions right. And shoes, too. But if you try options and use your mirror, any body type can look fabulous in a skirt. That Giverny Garden skirt is lovely.
Yes. Happy March. The birds are singing and the daffodils have begun to bloom. I am so ready for spring. You have given us a lovely selection of skirts today. I’m drawn to the two shorter denim skirts you showed us. I have a couple just above the knee skirts that I wear to church in the summer but other than that I find skirts challenging. I have a denim midi skirt that hit me at the right spot. I’ve tried to style it but haven’t found the right silhouette. I’d love to find examples that don’t feature tucked-in tops. I’m 5’3″ and short waisted. And even though my weight is the same as it was 25 years ago my waistline is not so a tucked top is not at all flattering unless I wear a 3rd layer. I’m not a fan of the current “half tuck” on me. Thanks again for a glimpse of spring ideas.
Thanks Jeanine…I agree that they will stretch your wardrobe more. Glad you have you join in.
I was going to get that skirt for my daughter but hesitated 30 minutes and when I went back it was gone in her size! So sad…I think it is a wonderful skirt. I personally think almost any shoe will go with skirts.
You are so welcome…it is refreshing! Thanks Kathie!
Thank you for such an interesting, informative blog! I enjoy it every day!
Thank you so much for being here, Lyn! I appreciate hearing from you!
I like skirts for spring & summer. I wear skorts in summer because I feel comfortable wearing them with sneakers. I haven’t worn many skirts because I didn’t know what shoes to wear with them. Thank you for showing the shoes in most of the pictures. I don’t wear sandals because of foot problems, but the Liz Claiborne skirt was shown with shiny loafers. Since I am having problems finding a comfortable pair of flats a dressy loafer might be a possibility.
I have a similar problem with Kathie. Only, I am 5’1” and skirts seem to make me look shorter and wider than I am. I’ve tried all different lengths and tucking isn’t an option anymore as my waist is expanding even though my weight is stable. I loved the denim skirt from JCP but know exactly how bad it would look on me. I love seeing them on taller women.
I love skirts, and love the many options shown here. Another great post.
