  1. I enjoyed the article “Looks to steal from Milan fashion week.” ‘Hooray!” To me, ha, I’ve been thinking about a cape for months and am currently working on a patchwork denim one. It probably won’t be done in time to wear this spring, though. P.s. I enjoyed your spring colors yesterday, especially, the Hobo handbag. 🙂

  2. Good morning! I so look forward to your Wednesday posts. I always finds little jewels that I can incorporate into my daily or weekly schedules.
This past weekend my brother who is 83 and still building and restoring houses came to visit for the weekend. It was great! We’re the last of our immediate family and have decided that at our age we have to take the time to spend it together when we can. It was so good to just sit and chat about our lives, what we’re doing, bringing up memories of our growing up and those that have gone before.
I say all this to point out that for four days I didn’t even check my emails. And, frankly, didn’t miss it, but now I’m back to my morning cup of coffee and time spent catching up with you and Jennifer and Tania. Hope we all have a wonderful beginning of March.

  3. Thank you so much, Rhoda…and you are right, sometimes it is just best to unplug and be with those we love. Good reminder from you this morning.

  4. I always enjoy the Wednesday news post. The sidewalk view of Milan showed a lot of long coats, wide-leg pants, for both tall and short, interesting.
I always enjoy people watching and enjoyed this week’s video the best.

  5. It is sunny and 48 degrees here today in Colorado. Thanks Rhoda for reminding me that my brother of 75 and I are the last of our immediate family. He is still in Flint, MI although our kids have moved all over the country. I will give him a call today.
After tea with Pamela and Jennifer I spend way too much time reading the horrors of the daily news. Time to get moving.
I found the Milan fashion way out of my league or interest. The baggy very long jeans and pants and the huge jackets, long dragging coats are just not attractive to my eye. I did notice on the minis they were wearing stockings again. Very few people that were older seemed to be shopping. If I wore baggy clothes like that here, I would get arrested for being a lottering homeless person. Not a fan of either video. Prefer London street fashion. Or Canada?

  6. We just had a fifteen hour power outage related to those horrific winds yesterday and the previous night’s storms. The first thing I did when power returned was warm up my lunch and turn on my laptop to read your post! Thanks for being a bright spot in an otherwise challenging day. I fell down a rabbit hole reading about expired foods in our pantries. How did I not know that plain flour is unsafe to eat raw? Of course, each article leads to another on similar topic, so I had to bail out, but I look forward to returning tonight to watch the street fashion videos. I missed last week’s due to the moving ordeal, so I’ve got lots of catching up to do. Even though not all of the articles featured each week are relevant to me, I so appreciate the time and care with which you curate each week’s selection for us. Sending articles to friends is one way I try to stay in touch, and there are always several worth sharing in each week’s post. Thank you for creating this safe on-line haven where I can come in the midst of chaos like moving and feel like I am sitting down to lunch with old friends!

  7. What an interesting array of articles. I enjoy sheet pan cooking, attracting birds, and my little plot of land has vertical gardening everywhere. It was fun reading and looking at Milan take ways from fashion week and segueing to the video. I was laughing to myself. I have been to many parts of Italy, but never Milan. I was wondering what the heck I would wear to blend in. Wouldn’t you like to follow someone home and look in their closet? When I saw four iconic orange YSL bags being tucked into the trunk of a car, I thought no one in that neighborhood is thinking about sustainability.
What a variety of styles: boots, jeans, slacks, jackets, coats…I really enjoy these!

  8. I just saw your comment and question from the other day, Deborah…and a big YES…there are many times I would like to follow women I see online and look in their closets!
