  1. Every week I can’t wait til your Wednesday posts because I always find something awesome or eye opening information. I especially enjoy the “older” folks like the dancing lady today. I love my music, it’s up there with the love I feel for my two rescues. I had three, but one unexpectedly passed away the last week in March. It was crushing, to say the least. I had difficulty functioning for days, the only thing that kept me going was the two beautiful souls that had lost their buddy.
This may sound frivolous to some, but when you live alone and the only constant in your life is the soft furry babies who depend on you for just about everything gives you a reason to get up some mornings. Now I have loving family who would come at the drop of a hat, but their lives are busy and they don’t live close so we don’t see each other often.
And, let’s face it: who doesn’t want someone who never argues, never disagrees and is always there to pick you up. In my case they just happen to have four legs instead of two.

  2. I love my furry baby! He got groomed yesterday and is soft. I completely understand your grief, Rhoda over the one lost. So glad you had two more to be with…and I am so into music. We are going soon to another Beatles presentation…I sang every song at the last two!

  3. If I may respond to Rhoda,
Don’t apologize for the sadness at losing your pet. It’s not frivolous. They seem to find a place in our hearts and the hurt is real. I had a beautiful kitty girl that I lost several years ago and I still miss her. Anyone who has truly loved an animal will understand. I’m glad you have the other two to help cheer you in their own ways. Take care of yourself.

  4. What would we do without Trinny? She always brings a smile to my face. Don’t you wonder where she goes? My gosh! The shoes, the neon, the citric, the layers. But she does have a knack of giving out a few tips that I could use. I like the collar tucked in showing a white tipping around her neck as well as that long necklace under the layering piece and just poking out half way down. I kept thinking that she was going to topple down those stairs!
Now to the article about the new kitchen color-moss. Thank you for a great news day.

  5. I always learn something from her between the laughs! Glad you enjoyed, Deborah!

  6. Rhoda, losing a fur baby leaves a hole in your heart. I’m glad you still have two to share your love with.
Nice that sage green is considered “in”. The guestroom was painted that color when we bought the house and I’ve never felt the need to change it.
Trinny’s post was entertaining. Her outfits are very different from anything I would wear especially the furry shoes she’s so fond of. She was having fun and her style suits her personality and tall lanky body. I found it interesting that she styled mostly monochromatic outfits. Interesting also that she layered shorter over longer over even longer tops over wide leg pants. I may try a jean jacket over a longer top and see how it looks on my short self. What did anyone else take away from it?

  7. I love the dancing Nana! She is a real inspiration for me at 80! I had fun watching Trinny. She is always fun. She always imparts some new gems that I haven’t heard of or tried. Going to shop in my closet with a new eye for layering and color. Layering is hard here now that it has turned hot. It works for air conditioning and cooler sneaky days like we will have this weekend in Colorado!

  8. So glad I made time this evening to catch up on this posts and its comments. I want to add my belated condolences to Rhoda on the loss of her sweet puppy; few things hurt worse than a paw-shaped hole in your heart. As a lifelong night owl, I was very interested in the piece on sleep timing. I’ve been feeling like I need to start going to bed earlier lately, and this gave me the push I needed to make that happen. I tend to get my second wind around midnight and start some kind of project that keeps me up until 3:30 or 4:00 AM. Then I end up sleeping until noon, which throws off my entire routine the next day. I was tickled to see that sage green is trending. I chose that color for my first post-divorce house almost 20 years ago because it felt serene and restorative, and I have continued using it in my new home for the living room, dining room, guest bath and kitchen. It’s been so interesting to see how well things I bought up to twenty years ago have all come together to make my new house one that I love. From dishes to antiques and artwork, it’s like God knew all along that they would end up together in my forever home. I have to admit I didn’t have the patience for Trinny and the entire video – she’s just too “out there” for me and our styles are too different. Thanks to Pam for yet another fantastic compilation of reading on a wide variety of topics – something for everyone!
