Girl’s Day Out…Lunch, Boutiques, and Girl Talk

Yesterday, I was honored to speak for a luncheon of about seventy vibrant women at a Newcomer’s Club.  All of them are very new to the San Antonio area and have an impressive organization.

My friend Karen agreed to go along to the delicious GRILL AT LEON SPRINGS for great food, incredible local wine, and wonderful company. (She’s wearing a great black top she got at CHICO’S in the spring)

I was honored to bring them a message of hope and encouragement (though I look a little tense in the last picture!) of how much fun life can be in the second half when we do everything we can to look and feel our best.  I wore a white boyfriend jacket and necklace from CHICO’S and a TALBOT’S floral pencil skirt.

It was such an enjoyable time.  Afterwards, Karen introduced me to a nearby boutique…FIDDLIN FROGS…off Interstate 10.  This is a gorgeous boutique…particularly for home decor…

They include the artistic designs of the talented Jan Barboglio…who I interviewed in a post in 2012, HERE.  She is very gifted and her designs are stunning.

Thanks to the ladies working in the boutique for allowing me to shoot pictures and show off their place!

This was such a fun day surrounded by energizing women…a perfect girl’s day out.
What plans do you have for the weekend?

Whatever they are….

Keep Smiling!

  1. You look very confident and relaxed so you must be doing something right (and I love the handbags in your last post btw)

  2. LOVE that skirt you wore! Looks like it was a great day, I love girls days out. My neighbor had rotator cuff surgery and was antsy to get out of the house so another neighbor and I took her out to lunch the other day. Our weekends are usually busy: this week we have the social at the clubhouse tonight and dinner group tomorrow night. Fun times!!!

  3. Congratulations Pam!! I am sure that the ladies came away from your talk with lots of inspiration!!

  4. As someone who has moved half way around the world (I am from England and Ireland but moved to Vancouver, Canada two years ago) I found it really interesting to hear of an area that hosts a newcomers club. As a newbie to a new area it is always lovely to have a group of like minded women that are welcoming to connect with.
