Soft Surroundings Shoes and Beautiful Granddaughter
When I dressed for this important day, I knew I wanted to look and feel my best; be comfortable; and know it might be a long haul. So I wore my new Remy Sneakers from Soft Surroundings…such gorgeous, casual fun…with the look and craftsmanship of real leather.
Arriving at the hospital early, I was excited to welcome my new granddaughter into the world.
I just had no idea this day would span endlessly over the next 15 hours….
I started off with some like reading as my daughter-in-law was induced.
She was over a week past due and as the baby grew, the doctors knew it was going to be a challenge for her tiny frame.
So, we took selfies…told stories…watched a little TV…and went to eat.
I drank enough water to float a boat!
At 1:30 AM, my husband and I were alone in the hospital. It was so quiet, it was unnerving. But, in my sneakers, I still looked great though I could barely hold up my head. They have some wonderful shoes and boots right now…and if you go for these sneakers…go up a size…they do run small.
But, it was so worth the wait for this little angel to arrive….
I have three incredible grandchildren…and she is the first little girl. She was worth every second of a very long day…
I hope you will join us Sunday for Hit Your Style Sweet Spot…and a new Sweet Spot Fashion Link Up which started last week with great success.
Congratulations on your new granddaughter, Pam! She is beautiful.
