smash & scott: Elegance for Women Over 50

The clothing I struggle with the most is evening, special/event type attire.  But, enter smash & scott, a new quality clothing line to bring more options to women over 50!  And more options to women like me with a curvy, larger figure!

This week I have celebrated women entrepreneurs, and Olivia and Sandra are truly inspiring.  After vibrant careers in entertainment, they decided the second half of their lives would be dedicated to offering women options. They say it this way,  ” As we got serious about our second act, we saw a need for affordable luxury wardrobe essentials for real women like ourselves that wasn’t being met in the fashion industry.  With two years of research to find the finest fabrics, the best fit, and the best local craftsmen, we created the smash+scott collection—the ideal medium to express our passion for giving voice to the authentic stories of our lives.”

They even thank the ones who helped them get started: “We’re thankful to be members of the SoHarlem collective—a community-based social enterprise, founded by Janet Rodriguez, and based in Harlem, with a mission to ensure that artisans and creative entrepreneurs have access to the resources and industry veterans they need to make their products locally in New York and fulfill their creative vision.”

Back to my evening attire…as I began, I often struggle with clothing to wear out to special events…like dinner with my husband;a show at the Majestic Theater; or a fashion event with the local Fashion Group International.  But, I love this option sent to me by smash & scott.  The three pieces are high quality, and fit perfectly.  The sheer under blouse, adds a touch of sex appeal.  And above all, I feel confident in the look.

Check out their current collection HERE….it is chic, elegant, and creative.  Plus a couple of ladies I am pleased to support.

  1. I love, love that top! Just the right amount of sexy and so feminine. I much prefer separates for dressy occasions because I can switch them up and change the way they look.

  2. It is a three piece outfit and I know I can use these pieces in many ways. The sheer piece underneath is really cool and something I did not have in my closet! I like it…
