Fashion Over 50: Cozy, Comfy, Warm and Soft

Combine our cooler weather…an unprecented snow event…the holiday season and I am in the mood to just wear cozy, comfy and warmer clothing.  I do love Soft Surroundings for their beautiful prints and cozy clothing…which, of course, are all very soft.I believe I have owned this sweater topper for two years, and I love to wear it.  I can get away with wearing it to almost any type of event, or just throw it on to look nice while at home.  Notice, the line of buttons on the knit tunic below.  Because of those buttons, I think it would be too much to add a necklace.  The buttons act as an accessory. My days usually start early, but this week they will go beyond dawn to dusk.  It is a jam packed week with events, work on two deadlines, and preparing for the family Christmas next weekend.  Because of that, I will not be blogging every day…but rather wind down to the weekend and even take a few days off.   Now, below I have selected to show you some of my favorite pieces at Soft Surroundings…and there are some on sale!

The countdown goes on….

8. I love Christmastime, because I have worked for 32 years to make some family traditions my own.  Like the Christmas villiage…the village began with my husband’s mother who shopped with my children to start the village.  After she passed on, I have made sure the population in the village grows and I give our family, and now grandchildren, new villagers to meet every Christmas.  I love to turn the lights on each day when I come home from work.

Linking up with Visible Monday...

  1. I wish they had more sales, but it doesn’t stop me from buying clothes from Soft Surroundings. After 35 years in suits and heels, I have turned to comfy clothes in my part-time retirement job, but feeling “put together” is still my style and I don’t see that ever changing. Soft Surrounding is even great for comfortable cocktail attire.

    1. You are so right, Nina. They have lovely comfy styles for entertaining. (I would also love to see more sales! But who wouldn’t) Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Merry Christmas, Pam! Warm and cozy sounds good. We missed the snow in Tyler but it’s been chilly the last few days. I have a collection of Original Snow Village that puts me in the holiday mood. Enjoy your time with family and friends.
