I love your Wednesday articles Pam! I always learn something. It’s truly amazing how those well past 90 are living such an active lifestyle. I hope I can count me in that group someday. But, living with all my faculties! I do think lifestyle definitely plays a part but good, solid genes I think plays more of a part. I’ve been blessed with arthritis, ugh!, and I pray as I age,
medicine will find a cure or at least something so those of us with it can continue to lead an active lifestyle. Crucial to staying healthy! That’s my fear, that staying active will be hard.
Thanks Pam for gathering these articles!
You are welcome, Kelley! Thank you for letting me know about your arthritis…Mr. B struggles with the same. I will pray for you.
The video on how women in Paris dress was interesting because my take was that it is a mind set. Always being put together even when walking the dog, having confidence and dressing for yourself not to impress, is the point. i enjoyed the comfortable and casualness of the look. No baggy sweatsuits. They wore jeans and flowing trousers. No Logos! I love that as it is a pet peeve of mine.
I’m sorry Mr. B is suffering with arthritis. It is no fun. My right knee joint had to be replaced 12 years ago and my hands and feet are affected with it. I too wish they would find a cure or even a real treatment for it as it curses about half of our older population. Have a fun week everyone!
I know, Sydney…I am really surprised that no real treatments have been discovered yet. So sorry you deal with this pain as well.
As always, a great variety! Since I have been working with PT to counteract my osteoporosis, I find the physical health articles helpful. I am always trying to “marry” an exercise with cooking down time, watching tv, etc. Ali McGraw was such a celebrity in my day; I am happy she found happiness and purpose off screen. I always love the style section , but I am not in agreement with Trinny’d dress being one style for all body types! Have a lovely day.
I agree with you Deborah!! That dress would look horrible on me. That article really surprised me!
Happy Wednesday Pam. Thanks for the great articles. I loved the article about Crystal Lewis. What an inspiration – a wife & mother, a veteran, a nurse and a designer. She’s someone I’d like to know. And wonderful advice from a 102 year old woman ““The main thing is: Be learning,” Szekely says.” The photo of Trinny at the beginning of the article was a perfect example of the wrong lipstick that was discussed in Brian’s zoom meeting. All you see is her lips! Much better lipstick in the 2nd photo in the white dress that looks good on her because she’s a size 0 or 2. I disagree though with there person who wrote the article about it being flattering to all body types but I think its a lovely dress. The video was interesting. The points she makes are worth thinking about. I like the idea of updating a classic item by pairing it with something casual or trendy. However I kept cringing when she kept repeating that every woman needs a white shirt. NOT. And of course all her models were tall and skinny and youthful so they look good in anything. But that doesn’t take away from the message. Oh, I’m going on too much.
Not too long at all, Kathie! Good observations!
