Talbots New Arrivals: Leopard First
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I am excited to share with you today Talbots new arrivals: Leopard FIrst.
I am well aware that it is very hot outside, but you may want to get your favorite Talbots new arrivals at 25% off while you can…some of these will go fast.
Two posts will feature the vast variety in this fall collection…the next post with more garments of different styles will be on Thursday.
But, today, it is Talbots New Arrivals: Leopard First, because leopard is such a prominent part of the fall new arrivals.
Let’s take a look at what I found in the Talbots New Arrivals: Leopard First.
TALBOTS NEW ARRIVALS: LEOPARD FIRST OUTERWEAR
I already reported, as far back as March, that leopard is in the 2024 Fashion Trends.
One of the most popular pieces in the Talbots new arrivals is this LEOPARD WOOL COAT.
I tried in on with the AUDREY CASHMERE SWEATER in the lovely brown called Dark Walnut.
The two together are super warm…great for those of you in colder climates.
And, if you like cashmere and leopard, then check out the CASHMERE V-NECK SWEATER.
If you want to go a little lighter for cool breezes, then consider this poncho and the vest in leopard.
This is the JACQUARD LEOPARD PONCHO and it is very nice….looks good over the same cashmere sweater.
And both of these outerwear garments match with the AUDREY CASHMERE SWEATER in the color called Toasted Coconut.
I ordered one of the leopard vests since they were not in-store in my size.
THE REVERSIBLE QUILTED VEST looks like it will work for Texas and I love reversible vests.
TALBOTS NEW ARRIVALS: LEOPARD FIRST TO TOP OFF FALL OUTFITS
Talbots new arrivals feature several ways to top off your fall outfits in leopard.
There are tees, sweaters, and blouses.
This is the CREWNECK TEE in a print called Spectacular Animal.
This leopard sweater is fun, and would top off your black denim in style.
This is the CREWNECK SWEATER – TIPPED LEOPARD.…such fun sleeves!
And don’t forget to check out the SOFT SATIN CHARMEUSE BUTTON FRONT SHIRT in LEOPARD as part of the Talbots New Arrivals.
TALBOTS NEW ARRIVALS: LEOPARD FIRST ACCESSORIES
Talbots new arrivals feature a plethora of leopard accessories.
There are shoes, sneakers, handbags, scarves, hair accessories…you can go as soft or loud as you like with this trend in the Talbots New Arrivals.
And this dress greeted me as I walked into the door yesterday.
This is THE WAIST SHIRTDRESS in Leopard.
Allow me to share a story….
When I went to speak with my doctor last Friday, every single woman working in the office was wearing leopard prints.
I asked if that was on purpose, and was told, “Oh yes, on Fridays, we wear leopard.” (Maybe at the end of the day is when the animal comes out for the weekend!!)
I love those who have fun with their clothing and leopard certainly can be fun.
Remember on Thursday, I will have more from the Talbots new arrivals that are NOT leopard.
Until then, ask any questions you like about Talbots New Arrivals: Leopard First.

For all your shopping, please use the links on my SHOPPING PAGE…thank you, thank you to all who shop this way. These provisions are very much needed now more than ever.
Just back from our dream cruise to Norway, the Faroe Islands, and Iceland, and it was everything we hoped and more. Scandi chic was on full display, and I loved seeing it “in person.” It’s a lot how I dress now, though the lack of accessories was not me, and was very noticeable. I think accessorizing more would have improved some of the outfits. Jewelry stores were few and far between. Beautiful, hand knit wool sweaters were the norm for both men and women (often an earthy color, or black, grey or soft blue, mixed with accents of very rich or heathered burgundy, rust, and ivory, often in unusual combos), as were athletic pants worn with blazers and dressier tops, even in the tourist and business (banking etc.) setting. At the concert hall in Reykjavik, the women hostesses wore fitted business blazers, athletic pants, loafers and the most rich, stunning quality red cashmere scarves. Absolutely no leopard and nothing I’d really describe as a trend as we have been discussing. All that said, I love leopard and am here for it this fall. It looks like Talbots has done a great job with giving us some options. In love with that vest!
Sounds like a great trip, Linda. I will style the vest as soon as it arrives. Lots of fun with leopard today!
Thanks, Pamela, for featuring such a nice variety of leopard looks! I ordered the vest, which seems like a great way to participate in the leopard trend in a more casual environment like my hometown. I love vests, too, as I can get three seasons’ worth of wear out of them here.
I hope you like it, Ann! I can’t wait for mine to arrive!
I’ve had a pair of leopard Vionic pointed-toe flats for the last five years….love wearing them with just about everything and always, always get compliments. (Best of all, I had purchased them on sale!) Good to see that leopard is “trending” although my shoes have always been one of my favorites.
Got my Talbot’s catalog yesterday. They have a lot of nice fall clothes. Yes! Animal print is going to be popular this fall.
I too saw a friend’s Talbot’s catalog. It has something for everyone with multiple colour options. I’ll pass on the animal print. I have an animal print scarf and a black, gold and silver bracelet from many years ago which I will wear with a base of black a few times if the spirit moves me.
I had a pair I loved for years and post foot surgery can no longer wear them, so enjoy those shoes!!
I will show you more on Thursday!
Thursday is when I will show you more!
Your mention of the doctor’s office all wearing leopard on Fridays reminded me of a funny, not so funny, story with my dear late MIL. She was a style icon if there ever was one and would accessorize even her bathrobe. She was diagnosed with Alzheimers at 66 and she had lost all ability at word retrieval. She would touch my clothes to show approval or shake her head if she disliked an outfit. One late, very rainy winter evening it was my job to take her to the neurologist. I was in a bad mood after working all day and pretty annoyed that MIL was very slow . We entered the doctor’s office and the receptionist was dressed in leopard head to toe; hat, dress, leggings, shoes. The whole gamut. MIL with her critical eye pointed and began to laugh hysterically non stop which made me begin to laugh. Whenever I wear leopard I think of MIL and always remember to stop with one piece! I sure do miss her and would give anything to hear that laugh again. Thanks for bringing up a very good memory! That leopard vest is in my cart!!
Cute story, Linda. I do agree that one leopard piece at a time will do just fine!
Lots of fun options for leopard. I’ve begun to think of it as a fashion constant as it seems to show up at one store or another just about every year. I enjoy wearing mostly as an accessory: leopard boots, leopard purse, leopard belt…one at a time please. I have pieces from Chico’s I’ve hung onto for years and wear occasionally. I probably don’t need anymore. If I was a poncho wearer I’d go for the one at Talbot’s. Looking forward to your Thursday blog. I was also impressed with the newest Talbot’s catalog. They show a faux suede skirt that has me thinking.
The leopard looks great on you, but it’s not part of my color pallet except in small doses as an accessory such as a belt. I did look at the other charmeuse shirts as an updated casual look. I loved the teal & the blue. I’m looking forward to Thursday’s post.
Thanks to Linda L. for sharing such a great memory of your MIL. I’ve never been a huge fan of animal prints, so I tend to wear them only in accessories like belts and scarves. I do have a long leopard cardigan from Target that you featured two (?) years ago I’ll have to dig out. It was perfect for our mild fall and winter climate. If you still have yours, that might be a good piece for Abilene that can be dressed up or down. I mainly logged on today to say how amazing your hair looks today, especially in the photo with the leopard long-sleeve top. I’m taking that photo to my stylist to see if there’s any hope of getting mine to behave at that length. Thanks for making time to keep us updated on the new fall offerings, in spite of everything else you’re juggling!
I saw the skirt in the catalog, but not in the store. It looks nice. This is a good collection.
I will have more…and promise no leopard!
Thank you, Lorri! I do use products by WOW and they work well on my hair. I hope that helps.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to animal prints. I do have a narrow belt, smallish handbag, warm neckwrap and winter gloves.
That’s really it, so far, but now seeing you looking so gorgeous in Talbots’ outerwear this may change. Love the poncho and the vest and that blouse! Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces.
Thank you, Paulette. There are many ways to have fun with leopard at Talbots…and the best is reversible!
