Happy September Tuesday, all! The first day of fall is just 19 days away, so let’s appreciate It is Time for Fall Outfits at Kohl’s.
Like most places, Kohl’s features lovely colors and designs for your fall outfits.
My friend, Karen, recently had her colors evaluated by a color specialist in San Antonio, and she is a lovely SUMMER.
So, she wanted to go out and do a little shopping to find the new colors on her color palette wheel.
We knew it was time for fall outfits at Kohl’s, so we started there…and both of us were impressed with the colors we discovered.
So, come join us for ideas for your fall outfits at Kohl’s.
TIME FOR FALL OUTFITS AT KOHL’S: NINE WEST
We began in the Nine West department for ideas for fall outfits and colors.
This is where we discovered this beautiful new blue….called Resolute Blue.
On trend this year are tone-on-tone outfits, and the Nine West fall collection offers many ideas.
Karen is wearing here the WOMEN’S NINE WEST DRAPEY BUTTON DOWN SHIRT which is available in 13 colors…including the resolute blue.
She liked the blazer and I personally think the blazer would be excellent (and very affordable) for fall outfits.
It is the WOMEN’S NINE WEST CLOSURELESS BLAZER in resolute blue, but does come in other colors.
Karen is not really a fan of the tone-on-tone trend, so she prefers the jacket with the WOMEN’S NINE WEST V-NECK TANK which also comes in the same blue.
In the first picture today, I am wearing the WOMEN’S NINE WEST ESSENTIAL POCKETED CARDIGAN in the resolute blue.
I paired it with the WOMEN’S NINE WEST MOCKNECK SLEEVELESS SWEATER in the color Elmore Tan…and I think this is a great piece for fall outfits in warmer climates under a blazer or cardigan.
This sweater is way out of Karen’s style adjectives, but I encouraged her to try it on.
The shade of brown is in her summer palette and I think the style of this sweater is very cute, so I wanted you to see it.
This is the WOMEN’S NINE WEST PUFF SLEEVE CARDIGAN in brown dot animal.
As a season ticket holder to the football games for the Fighting Texas Aggies, Karen really liked this blouse.
These games can get warm and the Maddie Plum color is really a lovely, bright maroon shade.
This is the WOMEN’S NINE WEST SHORT SLEEVE EASY LAPEL SHIRT…which both of us believed was comfortable and slimming.
Since it is time for fall outfits at Kohl’s, Nine West does have several ways to top off your looks.

We were a little pressed for time, but did want you to know about new designers at Kohl’s…they keep seeking ways to bring women affordable designs for fall outfits.
New is our Texas “angel” Jaclyn Smith.
I see so many things in her collection that many of you will like.
Karen said the tencel in this top felt great.
She is modeling for us the WOMEN’S JACLYN SMITH TENCEL LONG SLEEVE BUTTON UP TOP in Indigo.
This little cardigan has a very polished, classic look to it.
It is the WOMEN’S JACLYN SMITH NOVELTY BUTTON CARDIGAN SWEATER.
This jacket looks and feels much more expensive than it is.
It is the WOMENS JACLYN SMITH TWEED UTILITY JACKET in blue tweed.
And the weight of the jacket would be best in cooler weather.

This beautiful, functional crossbody bag went home with Karen for her fall outfits.

You need to step out in your fall outfits at Kohl’s in cute fall shoes.
After my foot surgery, I know longer am able to wear ballet flats, but these caught my attention…if I did wear them, I would order these.
I am a big fan of ballet flats and miss them.
It is the CROFT & BARROW SONYA WOMENS BALLET FLATS in Taupe. Very cute.
It is definitely time for fall outfits at Kohl’s, and we had fun shopping there.
Kohl’s is a great option for affordable fall outfits this year and I love the new designers they have added to the mix.

It’s great to see Karen back! You both look lovely. I was at Kohls yesterday. If anyone needs a dress, they had some very nice ones, which are hard to find these days for mature ladies.
Karen is right she looked better in pieces different colors on top. No same, blue on blue.

I have poor luck with Kohls, so just read this post for fun. Karen looks wonderful in all “her” colors, especially that tan, which was unexpected and lovely on her. I love a matched under layer and topper, so I’m on team Karen with that look. I wish her all the best on her color journey.
These are Chico’s cropped jeans that I wear when it is hot outside. In the fall, I wear full length.

I liked all of Karen’s outfits except for the tan, animal print cardigan. You said that she did not like that piece. I think that it is too warm and too bright for her soft coloring. I suspect that is why she did not like the way she looked in it. I know that colors can be deceptive on computer monitors. Perhaps the tan really is cool. However, it looks very warm on my computer screen. I think the piece would look great on you, Pam! Kudos to Karen for being brave and putting herself “out there”. I hope she has a great time trying and buying “her” colors!
I had read that Kohl’s was going to be featuring a Jaclyn Smith line, but the last time I was there, I was in such a hurry that I didn’t take the time to look at anything. Since I saw several things in your try on, from both Nine West & Jaclyn Smith, I will be going back to take a look when I have more time to browse.
I’m a cool summer and wear mostly blue from pale to navy. Tan would be on the bottom in shorts, skimmers and jeans. I love a column of blue especially denim. Karen is shaped like me but probably taller and we all have to take that into consideration. The leopard jacket looks great on you as the shape is slimming and in your color palette.
Two comments for Karen. I love the plum blouse on you, the color and the style. Try the WOMEN’S NINE WEST PUFF SLEEVE CARDIGAN in brown dot animal with that blouse. I think the style and the color combo would be fabulous. In addition, I really like the WOMEN’S NINE WEST CLOSURELESS BLAZER in resolute blue on Karen, both the style and the color. She needs to consider also getting the matching blouse. If she does not she will never be able to match the exact color later when she might want try the tone on tone.

She normally does not wear many prints…she is a classic, polished dresser. The brown matches her color wheel perfectly. She is really enjoying shopping for her colors. She also was not crazy about the length of the cardigan.

I was in Kohl’s last week and my first thought was “Pam would love some of these new fall looks!” I have mixed success shopping Kohl’s, but I really enjoyed seeing the colors and combinations you’ve featured. As another Aggie fan I need to track down that sleeveless top, which looks perfect for early season gamedays! Fun to see you shopping with a friend again, and I will be praying you quickly find a community in Abilene.
