  1. Some nice articles here. I did a deep dive into Veranda and fell in love with the 18th century stone farmhouse in Virginia. Sigh … I make a version of that oil free vinaigrette, and it’s pretty good. I’ve found getting the oil out of my salad dressing really helps me maintain my weight loss. Olive oil is healthy, but it’s really easy to overdo it when you eat a large salad like I do. The Milan fashion week is always good fun. I’m loving the look of ankle pants with contrasting exposed socks for this fall season. It’s a trend that won’t break the bank, too. I bought a few pairs of colored trouser socks, but it’s been too hot to wear them yet.

  2. Thanks for sharing the trend idea that you noticed, Linda. It is too hot here for socks as well, but I am going to look closer as cooler weather, hopefully, comes soon. I am going to try this vinaigrette…I agree that we must be careful with olive oil.

  3. Pam, I’m loving the French Country cozy Autumn looks for the home. Bring on the candles! The Milan fashion is gorgeous. I have some solid red wide-leg pants, and this gave me some ideas. I am happy that socks are starting to be accepted. Socks are one of my favorite things. And pockets. 😁

  4. So glad you found things here to make you smile, Marcia! I love that French Country cozy as well.

  5. I enjoyed seeing the wide variety of styles being worn on the streets of Milan. It seems that almost anything goes! I was surprised by the number of micro mini skirts, although obviously not on women of our age!

  6. I’m liking the cute socks too, although I can’t imagine ever having given up wearing socks — either no-show or under boots. I never wear footwear other than sandals and slingbacks w/o socks, liners, etc. Maybe it’s living in the Northeast where it’s cold or humid, but trendy young women wear liners in their pumps. Sweaty feet are the worst.

  7. Pam – Another reason to always look your best. You never know when someone is filming you. Another thing I noticed were all the couples.
