  1. About five years ago, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma closed their stores in our only remaining mall. I used to just love looking over their holiday tables and displays. The gingerbread theme this year is gorgeous. And I watch that you tuber … low key and reasonable, and her pared back style resonates with me.

  2. I enjoyed the news today. I am sidelined for many weeks with a broken foot, and it was a fun start to my day. I admire Sister Jean. She strikes me as too busy living life to focus on age. The YouTube video on styling clothes was really helpful. Thanks for all you do to keep us current.

  3. So sorry to hear of the broken foot. I understand being sidelined…my two foot surgeries sidelined me for three months. I hope you find some reading and maybe even do what I did and learn about a passion…that was when I discovered Food Network and it has inspired me to be a better cook and experiment more. Thanks for being here, Kathy.

  4. Just a word of thanks this morning, for consistently delivering a Wednesday magazine curated just for us. Any one magazine might have a handful of articles of interest to me, but you sift through many to bring the perfect stack of features. I just really appreciate you doing this, so thank you! 😊 🌻💕

  5. I have to say that I am really underwhelmed by the Stacy London Collection on QVC. I don’t usually shop there and I really, really want to like the collection. Even on Stacy, who is tall and thin, some of the clothes just did not look like quality pieces. I realize there is a price point involved, but man! I think she could do a lot better. However, if they fill a niche for the working woman, then that’s great. To each her own. If anyone has purchased from this collection and my assessment of quality is wrong, please share. Photos can be deceiving! And yes, as Connie says, thank you for curating these articles.
Sister Jean’s example of “staying in the game” is wonderful. Advanced age is a combination of effort and good luck, but being around young people is a great way to stay young. I donated blood yesterday at our local high school. It was so fun to be around all these lovely young people. It restores one’s hope in humanity and helps us all to “keep a light heart”. (Some students were donating for the first time, some were volunteering).

  6. One of the reasons I loved teaching high school for so many years, Mary, is it kept me young. I miss being around my students, but now have these precious grandchildren to keep me young…and tired!
If I hear anyone commenting about the Stacy London collection, I will let you know…I have not touched it nor tried any of the pieces.
