  1. I can’t believe the sales this year. It’s definitely good to wait for Black Friday and especially Cyber Monday. I got mostly basics and a few pieces to wear for a trip in January. I love that JJill cardigan with the fringe, but I ended up donating many of my long cardigans. I wasn’t wearing them much, so I’ve hit the pause button until I figure out why.

  2. It is always good to evaluate why something is not being worn. This week I am taking EVERYTHING out and re-visiting my wardrobe. I just threw things in when we moved and there is no thought into it. There are pieces I cannot find…so this week, I get down to rememdy that. Thanks Linda.

  3. Mocha Mousse is lovely. I’m also a big fan of browns and this looks like a good one. Thanks for the heads up the the J Jill sale. I also love a cowl neck but have stopped buying long sweaters as I no longer wear jeggings and I don’t like the way they look with straight leg pants and jeans. Two of the pieces I had my eye on are sold out in my size but I ordered a funnel neck sweater in a deep greenish teal. Now I need to get rid of most of the sweaters that have gotten baggy and pilled. I’ll save one for when I need something that I don’t care if it gets snagged but my closet is too full of pieces that are tired. I just donated a bunch of jackets, sweaters and skirts that I brought from Michigan 8 years ago and have not worn. Mostly black & grey items. Good luck with revisiting your wardrobe. I find I need to do this more than once in a season.

  4. Thanks Kathie. I did a massive clean out before the move…now I just need to organize it! Happy Saturday!

  5. Love the blue sweater. I think the Mocha Mouse is a pretty shade for those who can wear it. Would not want it on my walls, though.

  6. Brown is hard for me to wear. I have one outfit but it is a very dark brown and I can wear it. I also wouldn’t put it on my walls. Mine are Greek Villa SW. it is a color of the houses on the Mediterranean. It is a slightly off white that has warmth but isn’t yellowish. The dark moody trend doesn’t interest me at all. I’m a cool summer previous blonde, now mostly white with blue eyes. My bedroom walls are SW Tidewater, as well as the en-suite bathroom and our family room. I love the color! All of our cabinets are rustic pecan in a medium stain. Our furniture is traditional and dark and medium oak mixed not matched. Our floors are a light oak look LVP which I really love with the dog and the cat scratching around corners. It doesn’t scratch like wood and is half the price. My large area rugs look a lot like yours Pam. Color is very important to me. I also didn’t buy into the grey look or all white look. Warmth is important when you are disabled and are in the house 90% of the time.

  7. While I think the Mocha Mousse is a lovely color, browns are not a part of my cool color palette, but blue & lavender definitely are. I also love the dark teal that is so popular right now.
I am like Kathie in that I have too many items that seem to be a bit tired right now. I am slowly replacing those “good enough” pieces with better items. There are so many sales right now that it is easy get these replacements without breaking the bank. I’m sure there will be more opportunities are the holidays.

  8. One trend I’m having a hard time embracing is the shorter boxy cuts in tops and sweaters. I’m predicting Talbots will have a surplus of those in their clearance sales as they are not selling in the South where I live. Speaking of the South what a night for football! I say It’s great to be a Georgia bulldog!! Go dawgs!!!

  9. I believe many agree with you on the boxy cuts. I am so proud to be a Texas Longhorn! We went to the championship game our first year in the SEC! Hook ‘em!
