MY FAVORITES IN TALBOTS JANUARY ARRIVALS: TOPS WITH SPRING IN MIND

The next sweater which looks like a great fit and perfect to go into spring is this one.

You are so welcome, Deborah!
Naturally, I liked the striped popover shirt the best, because of its sporty style, but the gingham blouse was really cute too. There are some nice pieces in this collection, but overall it’s rather feminine for my style. This often happens as we look toward spring, because of the floral focus and the pastel colors. This seems particularly true of Talbots.
I am sure in the T by Talbots you can find the sporty style you like!
Thanks for the preview of spring Pam. Nice to dream on a frigid January morning. Always love the Talbot’s tees and stock up whenever they feature my colors. Love the styling of the Milano sweater jacket. Hope this means we will see more semi-fitted neat styles. Oversized is one of the many trends I’d like to see the end of in 2025. What trends would you like to see go away? Happy New Year.
I hope to discuss trends soon, Kathie, so I will withhold my comment right now. But I also like to see the more fitted pieces!
I wish I could still wear Talbots clothes. However, since my waistline has enlarged even though my weight is actually down 8 pounds, I’m having a terrible time finding pants and jeans that fit. My hips and thighs are still slim but my waist is only five inches bigger than my hips! Even my Chicos jeans are really looking baggy on me but the waist fits with their 2P which is a 12P. There isn’t a skilled seamstress in my area which is a small rural mountain town in Colorado. I live in jeans and would like at least a couple of pairs of nice straight leg or boot cut jeans that don’t hang like bags on my hips. Any suggestions ladies? I’m 137 lbs. and 5’1” tall now as I have lost two inches in achieving 80 years of life. I see all of these great clothes and just feel frustrated.
I agree with Kathie & am hoping the oversized trend will be gone soon. I am a fan of Talbot’s tees because of the more substantial fabric, & they launder well. The gingham shirt definitely puts me in a spring mood. While I am not normally a fan of drawstring waist pants, I like the ones shown. I think they look a bit more tailored than most. Thanks for sharing these looks.
Don’t get frustrated Sydney. You might try a pair from JC Penney’s Liz Claiborne and see what you think. They seem to fit many women in your catagory. Have hope …you can find an answer, I just know it.
Happy to help, Becky. I agree…their tees are excellent.
