Petite Studio: Chic Styles for Petites

Happy Monday, ladies!  Today, my daughter and I want you to meet a new brand to us…Petite Studio: Chic Styles for Petites….savings code just added!

When asked to spread the word about Petite Studio and the styles for petites they offer, I believed Jess was the model for the job.

These are fashion forward beautiful pieces and the minute she tried them on, I received a text: “I love these clothes!!!”

Petite Studio is an indie brand, which simply means it is “a small, independently owned business that is not part of a larger companyIndie brands are known for being innovative, risk-taking, and able to adapt quick.”

The founder is an impressive woman named Jenny Wang – Howell.

“I founded Petite Studio to be the first real petite shop offering trendy, stylish petite clothing for women. As an immigrant to the United States from my home in Zhejiang China, I didn’t have a lot of resources or formal education in the fashion industry. But I knew that the lack of stylish petite clothing in the market was a problem. I wanted to offer luxury fabrics and special designs, and do it in the heart of the fashion world in New York City. In 2015 I set out to build the brand that I always wanted as a wannabe 5’2″ fashionista.”  – Jenny Wang-Howell

Their website includes excellent information just for petites!

If you have petites in your family like I do, or you are a petite who wants to communicate that you are current and stylish with your clothing…then today’s post is for you.

So, allow me to show you more of what we know about these beautiful styles for petites…..

PETITE STUDIO: CHIC STYLES FOR PETITES: DENIM & PEARLS

Jess is a very busy professional woman, mom, wife, daughter…and as you see, very fast paced.

She wants to look her best, but also wants it to be easy…mornings are rapid fire and there is no time to stand in the closet and wonder…what can I wear that goes to the office and other events.

In Texas, ladies love to wear pearls with their jeans & boots.  This is what she thought of when styling this outfit.

The blouse is lovely.  It is the BUVETTE PEARL BLOUSE in a dusty blue, and it also comes in ivory.

She is very simple with her style and does not wear many accessories, so to add a touch of pearls that come with the blouse really pleased her…along with the exceptional quality.

The skirt is one of those magic designs which is so flattering, and she has already told me that she will be living in this skirt!

Jess prefers a midi skirt to shorter ones…especially for her office work and as a mom.  But the slit in the front is just right!

She likes that Petite Studio offers the longer options for their styles for petites, plus teaches how to do measurements to get their styles for petites just right.

I do recommend you spend time with those guidelines before you place an order.

This fabulous skirt in these styles for petites is the PIPPA DENIM SKIRT.

She was very confident as she watched one of her sons win second place in the elementary school science fair.

For full disclosure:  Jess is not a true petite…but the closest I had for a model.

She is a size 4, and right at 5’7″.  We do have two moms in our family that are true petites.

However, Jessica said she would order these clothes in a heartbeat for herself…she was very impressed with Petite Studio’s chic styles for petites.

We both are impressed with the styles for petites we found in this brand.

And we will show you more soon.

You might spend time with the Petite Studio website before asking me questions, and if you have a question that begs an answer, I will get the answer for you.

It is nice to see chic styles for petites…whether it is for us or our family.  I think they are doing a great job.

BIG NEWS:  After the initial post went live, Petite Studio gave this audience a special code to save 15% on your purchase…use pamela15 at checkout!!

Thanks for being here…I hope to see you tomorrow…until then…

KEEP SMILING!!

  1. Your daughter looks like a professional model; so beautiful, just like her mama! I also have a Jessi who has given me three grandcuties – one more thing we have in common. I hope you might consider a feature some brands that carry tall sizing at some point. JJill and Lands End are my go-to retailers for tall items, but there are probably other brands I’m unaware of. I’m only 5’8 but much of my height is in my legs so I’m especially interested in brands that carry a variety of lengths in pants and dresses. I wish I could wear that pearl buttoned Buvette blouse. It’s lovely, and would be great with anything from jeans to a black pencil skirt.
I loved seeing your grandson’s science fair project – great job! My office ran the state science and engineering fair for middle and high school students across the state for five years, and I would encourage him to keep competing each year. There are a large number of scholarships and other prizes awarded at the regional and state levels for the older students, and the competition is not usually that fierce in the more rural areas. It’s so much fun to attend the fairs and have the students explain their projects in their own words. You can tell right away whose mom did their project, and who the budding scientists are. Hope you got a chance to attend and admire his work. Here’s to warmer days for us this week!

  2. I did attend the science fair! I love to see their work!
Thank you for your kind words about Jess and the clothing!

  3. Yes agree! Your daughter is beautiful too indeed- like you! And thank you for highlighting this new line of petite fashion
( new to me anyway)?. I am between 5 ft 3 – 5 ft 4 but need regular length in pants, generally.
Will take a further look Pam! Thank you!

  4. You are so welcome, Paulette. They do have sizing guidelines on their website which should be very helpful. The clothing is beautiful and great quality.

  5. This is downright exciting! I’m 5’2”, 115, and an so pleased to see a new petites brand. I’m well versed in the Talbots, J.Jill, J.Crew, Lands’ End and LLBean, but they are always just re-scaled for length. To see a brand really designing for us is so refreshing! As soon as I study the sizing I’m ordering that denim skirt (through your links, of course 🙂 )

  6. Thank you so much for this post. I have not yet looked at the site but love that you and your daughter have taken the time to research and show us these fashions. At just 5 feet and with being short waisted I am really limited to petite clothing and it is getting harder and harder to find in Canada. Thank Jess for taking the time out of her busy schedule to model for us. Would love to know the results of your grandson’s well done project.

  7. I always appreciate knowing about a new brand that features petite sizes as I am 5’2” and need these sizes. Buying small regular sizes usually mean the sleeves and bodice are too long and the pants need hemming. Like Texas Aggie Mom above I enjoyed seeing your grandson’s science fair project. As a retired secondary science teacher and former department head, I’ve been involved in many science fairs even after retiring. It’s always encouraging to me to see students who are interested in science as so often elementary teachers are not comfortable with science teaching and thus the students are not either. Thank you for making me aware of the Petite Studio brand. I will investigate their website. Happy Monday!

  8. He received second place, Linda! Most of the top spots go to fifth graders, so it was exciting for a fourth grader to receive this recognition. We are so proud of him….and you are welcome on bringing this brand to you. It is exciting to see what Petite Studio is doing.

  9. You are welcome, Celia. Someone told me that many schools no longer do science fairs. I hope that it not the case…they learn so much from these projects.

  10. Good morning
thanks for the info about Petite Studio.
Did read some of their info. Liked what I saw

  11. Pamela, thank you for introducing this brand. I am a petite, and these clothes are so lovely. I’m excited to peruse the site. Your daughter is beautiful.

  12. Jesse is lovely! She has a petite figure without the shorter stature. It must be hard for her to buy clothes as well. I’m 5’1” but no longer a size 6 and 115 pounds. I’m up to 137-139 pounds now but still appear slim in tees and jeans. My inseam is 27” but I get away with 28” which many brands still use as a petite inseam. But LandsEnd has lengthened their petite pants in some styles. I have to shorten my wider leg cords by two inches in a petite! I’m more busty than those models as well which complicates buying anything with buttons. I wear knits most of the time. Then I wear a flannel shirt over my tee as a top layer. It is starting to warm up here at 67 degrees today. My flu has turned back on me so a quiet day reading and resting for me here.

  13. This is just the denim skirt I have been looking for! I ordered using your discount and also got free shipping though I am under the free shipping amount.

Also, I wanted to tell you I made the snickerdoodle recipe from yesterday’s post. I added nutmeg but otherwise followed the recipe. They are delicious. Thank you!
    Mary

  14. So happy, Mary that you have a great skirt on the way…got a great deal and loved the cookies. I just might sneak in some nutmeg to mine as well!

  15. I enjoyed looking at the Petite Studio website, and ordered the lovely blouse your daughter modeled and a pair of pants. Used your link, thanks so much for the discount code! I generally buy petite sized clothes thru Nordstrom’s, J. Jill, and Talbots…very happy to discover a new source with your help!

  16. Hi Pam,
Jess is the perfect model, I can tell where she gets her gorgeous thick beautiful hair from.
A huge congratulations to your grandson for placing second place in the elementary school science fair.
