Spring palette outfits with Chico’s Dried Roses

Spring palette outfits

Happy Thursday, friends!  Allow me to share a couple of Spring Palette Outfits with Chico’s Dried Roses!

Yes!   That’s me peeking out in PINK for my spring palette outfits…and just as surprised as many of you are!

Two of the biggest lessons from my recent color analysis is that  (one) I am a spring and (two) some shades of pink can be warm colors.

Such is the case with Chico’s Dried Roses…it is a warm shade of pink and their stylists typically style It online with gold jewelry and gold shoes.

Dried Roses is almost a perfect match for FLAMINGO PINK in my color fan.

I had to see the pink scarves on me to believe that a warm, vibrant, pink looks good.  It was an eye-opener.

You can see that the color has three stars by it…these are my absolute best colors to wear.

Let’s look at my Spring Palette Outfits with Chico’s Dried Roses just a little closer.

When I discovered that Chico’s dried roses is a perfect pink for me, I ordered several foundational pieces to help with wardrobe building.

I have already worn this EVERYDAY 3/4 SLEEVE V-NECK TEE several times.

Including under my nice tweed blazer on top of jeans to church.

It is an excellent tee and comes in 12 colors.

I also added to my wardrobe, the short sleeve version of the tee, ELBOW SLEEVE PERFECT TEE.

There is also another version of the tee in the PIMA COTTON BATEAU-NECK TEE….and it comes in nine colors.

I haven’t ordered these pants in dried roses yet, but I could see them in my spring palette oufits with an off-white top.

I am thinking about them.  My main focus has been what is closest to my face.

These are the BRIGITTE CROPPED PANTS and they come in six colors.

SPRING PALETTE OUTFITS WITH CHICO’S DRIED ROSES: FEATURE OUTFIT

This is currently a favorite in my spring palette outfits.

I love these blazers and have more than one color.  So, I was super excited to see that it was at Chico’s in dried roses.

It is the NOTCHED LAPEL RUCHED SLEEVE BLAZER in dried roses.

The tee is so much fun for a casual jean outfit. It is the FLORAL PIMA COTTON BATEAU NECK TEE.

This tee has a thick band at the bottom, and even a nicer fabric feel than the regular tee shirts.  I feel like it elevates a tee shirt style.

I can wear this just about any where for my new life…and will probably add a necklace (or too) just to mix the style up occasionally.

Other special pieces in Chico’s dried roses include this style…another consideration on my list.

It is the CUT-OUT OPEN FRONT CARDIGAN, over the CUT-OUT SWEATER TANK….which would also look good under other pieces for my Spring Palette Outfits.

This dress comes in petite and misses sizes, and is available in dried roses and black.

It is the PETITE ELBOW SLEEVED MAXI DRESS….and does come in the regular sizes as well.

I have three colors, so far, that I think will be signature colors for my spring palette outfits and dried roses is one.

Because I do not know how long this shade will be around, I have purchased several pieces in the color.

It is not what we grew up calling hot pink…that is a cool color…this one is warmer.

Thank you for joining me today for my Spring Palette Outfits in Chico’s Dried Roses.…let me know if you have questions or not.

Tomorrow, Leigh Ann will join me for a final post with her for now to ask you a very important question…please return and give us your thoughts. Until then….

KEEP SMILING!!

  1. You look fab in that color! Yay! Love your hair. You need those pants! Everything in that color has your name. Love the cutout tops, too. A little touch of elegant boho. Everything would mix well with other colors, especially soft whites in your hot summers.

  2. Thanks, Deborah! It is a great color and came along at just the perfect time.

  3. You look so cute in your pink! Yes, “buy up” while the shade is in stock! I don’t remember that Oscar Wilde quote, I’m gonna remember to pull it out.:)

  4. Isn’t that a great quote? Chico’s has special offers today…so I just went back and bought the pants. My new spring palette wardrobe is looking pretty good! Thanks Kim.

  5. Gorgeous. You seem to glow in that first picture. Also, a great idea to stock up on a colour when it is available like that. There are years when it seems nothing is right, as you have already discovered I’m sure in the past. And, in one of your 3 star choices, wonderful.

  6. I am learning about warm spring colors vs. cool spring colors. That is why when I discover a warm color that has three stars in my color fan, I do want to stock up. Just a slight pigment change can make it go cool. Thanks Diane.

  7. I love that color pink even though I’m a winter! Your different items will serve you well as you mix and match to other items in your wardrobe. It’s such an uplifting, spirited color and is bound to make you feel good just wearing it. I like that Wilde quote especially when I feel dressier than so many these days in the casual, relaxed atmosphere of today. I recently received a notice to appear for jury duty and in the directions, the instructions noted that shorts are not appropriate. I never wear shorts when I leave the house, but I realize many do.

  8. My husband has been amazed at how many wear shorts in the workplace…especially men. I have no problem with being the over dressed woman anywhere I go!

  9. Morning Pam! Beautiful color on you. Are you going grey? I love the first picture if you behind there. Your hair looks very pretty!

  10. Thanks, Kelley. Those are my blonde highlights. Underneath my blonde is gray, but I am not ready yet to be gray. I think the blonde gently pushes me that direction. When I look in the mirror, if the hair color tells me that it is time…I will know. For now, I believe I look natural and enjoy the color I have. Thank you for the compliment.

  11. Thank you, Marcia…they do make me feel like I glow. This new path was scary at first, but I am loving it now.

  12. I just have to compliment you on your new color choices! You look great in these spring colors, they seem to brighten your whole look and make you look so much younger too. Color really does make a difference.

  13. It really does. I wish I had known that earlier in life, but so glad that I know it now. Of course, we can wear whatever we want, but when you look at the shadows the wrong colors cast on our faces and how we do not look healthy or vibrant, it is a true revelation. Also, a wardrobe becomes easier. I am so glad to have learned these lessons. Thanks Dianne.

  14. Could you compare your new warm pink with a cool winter pink.
Love you in pink. Thanks Mary

  15. Hi Mary, let me get help from the experts on this and I will get back to you! I am using my Spring Color Palette fan to match my colors and these are the warm pinks.

  16. I for one am particularly enjoying these color names. I would never call this vibrant color “dried” anything. To me it’s watermelon pink, and is also a color I seem able to wear (though maybe not my best). I absolutely love it on you. I too am getting blonde highlights (-and- dark lowlights) to keep from being gray. I tried growing out my gray during Covid, and though I sometimes like the look on others, I was not ready for it on me. My natural color was dark, almost black hair with a bit of burgundy reflecting in it in strong sunlight. It’s a tough color to wear as you age (harsh), but many other colors don’t look natural. I think I’ve found something that works, though I wonder if it needs to be warmer. When I get my colors done this summer, I will be really be interested in the professional’s hair color tips.

  17. Fabulous color for you. So glad you are able to stock up on items when Chico’s is featuring one of your very best colors since you never know when you will see it again. I saw a cute denim tencil shirt in that pink which might be too heavy for Texas summers but could be a good piece for cooler weather. The tee shirt is wonderful too. I have a couple of that style from last year and they are a little big on me. I’m thinking about sizing down and trying it. I agree, your hair looks wonderful. Is it a bit lighter? Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. And there’s a fabulous throw pillow in your 3 photo. Goldfinches and pink flowers. I’d love to have that in my living room. Did an online search and couldn’t locate it. Do you remember where you bought it.

  18. Pinks in most shades have always been one of my favorite, and best, colors. Even when I was designated an autumn I never avoided pinks. How does Chico’s dried roses compare to Talbot’s tropical punch? I have recently purchased a couple of items from Talbots in that color and I am really liking it. I would love to know where tropical punch sits on your color fan.

  19. House of Colour does give suggestions on hair color, Linda. I think the use of “dried” is brilliant because it says to be that it is a warmer pink.

  20. Pam, you look so nice in your spring colors. And I love your hair! In that first picture which is my favorite it looks like you’re loving those colors a lot. Keep these posts coming I enjoy watching your color journey.

  21. So pretty, Pam! To all of those who have asked about the difference between warm and cool pinks, in general a warm pink will have more yellow in the undertone (e.g. a more peachy pink) and cool pink will have more blue in the undertone (think “Shocking Pink”). Hope this helps!

  22. Thank you, Susan! I had not considered the yellow undertones in a warm pink.

  23. I know using a monitor is often problematic, but I put a screenshot of the Tropical Punch Pink up against the Dried Roses and the first one is much, much lighter than the one I am wearing. The lighter one is not in my best color fan….however, blush pink is.

  24. Wow! That color on you lights up your face! Outstanding! I had my colors done yesterday at House of Colour, and she was close to me, “just down the road”. lol. I’m definitely a winter, so now it’s time to “cull” my closet. So glad that I followed through and feel so much better knowing which direction to go. I’ll send you a photo through email.

  25. Wow, Pam! That first picture of you is adorable. Your hair looks amazing with the blonde highlights and this colour of pink makes you look young and fresh.

  26. Would love to see you, Rhoda. So glad you did this and had fun. I am a little jealous…love the colors of winter. But, acknowledge spring is me…and it’s been a blast. Can’t wait to see.

  27. Tracy! Thank you …that is so kind…I feel young and fresh in my new colors.

  28. Dried Roses is a beautiful color & gives so much brightness to your face. It is a perfect choice.

  29. That dried roses color (or watermelon pink) is such a flattering color Pam. What a difference the right palette makes. It makes your face glow!

  30. I would not be surprised to see 25 Shocking Pink on a winter card. On my monitor it has lot of blue in it. You have definitely chosen the right pink as your outfits look great.

  31. I used my color fan on it, before I was all in. It looks great with gold too.

  32. Pam, you look so pretty in the warm pink. It is amazing how great you look in the dried roses color. It is interesting to see how some colors in our season make us look just okay and others are absolutely beautiful.

  33. You look absolutely beautiful in that color pink and your hair looks awesome.
    You look very happy💕

  34. Dried Roses and your fabulous hair in the first photo! Just wow! Your session with the color advisor was spot on. The two of you really pinpointed the perfect colors. Enjoying being along on your Spring Journey.

  35. Pam color analysis is a fun journey. I’m following your original lead and dyeing the clothing I culled from my closet. Love the pieces just not the color. Feels like a new wardrobe because everything goes together! You do look younger in your new colors

  36. I had fun dyeing that first round of clothes, Suzi! Glad you remembered it!

  37. It’s been so much fun seeing your transition to spring colors, and you’ve had great luck finding some special pieces to add this season. The pieces you’re adding all seem to have longevity, so I hope you find even more while this color is available. Just as I was rooting for the yellow eyelet top at JJill, I’m now hoping you bring home the openwork top and jacket in this collection! Those pieces seem to hit all your adjectives, and they are in one of your best new colors. Your color experience has been really beneficial for me, as I dug out my color swatch fan from 2014 and started using it again. Somehow the box containing the majority of my nicer spring/summer clothes disappeared in the move, so I am trying to strategically add a few summer basics without spending a lot. Using the color fan has really helped me avoid mistakes, and several pieces have gone back due to color incompatibility. I’m so pleased to report that all the Chico’s pieces I bought last week using your link passed both the fit and color tests with flying colors, so they all get to stay. That 3/4 sleeve v-neck tee is so nice (I chose Dark Currant) and I like the coordinating pieces I got to go with it. If it’s of interest to you and other readers, could you please discuss what to wear in the spring and summer when your best colors are not typical warm weather colors, tropical brights, pastels, etc? This is the time of year I am really tempted to buy my “wrong” colors to be in keeping with the season, but I’m trying to focus on the limited lighter shades in my palette. I guess this problem also applies to the fall/winter season, which I’m guessing could be tricky for those with spring/summer palettes. I may be the only one who overthinks this, but for those of us who do embrace the idea of wearing our most complimentary colors, how do we best deal with seasonal trends and norms?

  38. Thank you so much for shopping with my links, and then reporting back. That is a great question about the seasons and why I so often purchased sale pieces out of season. I will look to do more on this soon. Thanks for posting the question, Lori.
