  1. Thanks for another round of useful and interesting information! I knew before I opened the article about OPI discontinuing a color that it must be Cajun Shrimp. I wore that on my toes for years, until I had my color analysis and learned that brights weren’t doing me any favors. When you linked to your new nail color last week it led me to find another OPI coral for summer, Live Love Carnival. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I hope it’s as flattering as your new color. I also loved the interview with Judith Viorst, and plan to check out my new neighborhood’s library for her latest book. I love that she still cares about her looks in her 90’s. That’s a personal choice, but one that seems very life-affirming. I’ll have to circle back on some of these others when time permits.

  2. I love Cajun Shrimp…and hope some version is still around. I will check out her book as well with my new library card! Good idea! I hope if I am here in my 90s that I still care about my appearance! Happy Wednesday!

  3. Wow. Only watched a few minutes of Ines. But… RELAXED elegance with a dash of spontaneity! Something to ponder before finishing this tonight!
Love the key lime cake recipe. Sounds like an Easter dessert.

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed the article “At 94, Why I will never stop working on my appearance”, especially the last paragraph. “But the people I love the most embrace what’s playful and fun as well as what’s profound. Celebrate as well as cogitate. And are willing to discuss, without apology, both eyeliner and the meaning of the universe.” really resonated with me. And if I happen to live to 94, I sure hope I look as good as she does!

  5. Loved the article on Judith Viorst and got a real kick out of her rose tattoo. What a great attitude. She’s such a talented writer. I put a hold at the library for her new book; its on order. Also submitted a request to Ines’ book. Her style is timeless.

  6. Ines helped me so much 21 years ago when I took me back and went through a reinvention. She was the one that first taught me to wear a blazer with jeans!!

  7. I love Judith Viorst! Her writing makes me smile. She reminds me to have fun. Life isn’t all about deep thoughts. My husband was a research scientist before he decided to go to medical school and become a doctor. He is an introvert as am I. So our conversations swing from fun to deep. I don’t think he has ever read any fiction! Judith sounds like a great girlfriend to hang out with and have those mixed conversations. I’m 80 now and finding my look that suits me. I’m using my adjectives and the colors that I love best and believe are mine. The video was interesting and she does have her own comfortable style.

  8. I love Judith Viorst’s books, and have a new-found respect for her after reading this article. Thank you for the diabetic-friendly recipes – I was recently diagnosed with type-2 diabetes, and am struggling to find recipes to fit my new lifestyle. These look yummy!
