Just Ten More Days….
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
-John Lubbock
The month of July has been my time off from teaching. But in just ten short days, I return to the school campus! It always goes too fast. So, I want to use my last ten days wisely….here is my plan!
Even if I have to go alone, I want to see The Hundred-Foot Journey”
with Helen Mirren.
It will be released just as I return.
See the MATISSE EXHIBIT AT THE SAN ANTONIO MUSEUM OF ART!
Time is running out!
Have the remaining mornings with coffee on my patio and my flowers.
I am beginning my fifteenth year of teaching in a room with no windows to the outside…so sad! Some days I do not know if it is sunny or not!
Maybe…hit one more sale or thrift shop before returning.
There are just a few items I still have my
eye on…some really great prices continue!
I have met so many friends for lunch this month…I know that can be a “diet” challenge…but there is one left I really need to get with before lunches are once again difficult!
Finally, I have appointments remaining for nails, toes, and hair! So I will return polished and confident. Any other teachers out there?
What are you planning for the remaining days of summer vacation?
I only teach part time and don't start until December but I've been busy putting plans together.
I hope you enjoy every minute of your next 10 days.
Oh I have been teaching for 10 years and totally appreciate my room facing the courtyard since street gets really noisy. Enjoy the movies. I like going by myself. The Kings Speech I did not want anyone else there just to enjoy the English:) Have a great summer Pam! xo Sabina @Oceanblue Style
Not a teacher, but I sense summer winding down as football is starting up soon. Your plans sound great for anyone, teacher or not, for spending the last days of glorious summer! Enjoy every minute. (The thought of morning coffee on the patio sounds like bliss!) Karen
I have 15 days left. Even though its been a fun summer I am exciting to see all the "little faces" Hope your last 10 days are GREAT!

Enjoy these days Pam! I taught in the schools Music, for 8 years in Private and public schools. THe last private school was pretty new and had no music curricultum when I started. I had to spend my summer writing a curriculum for grades 2-5 music, and also I taught PE that year in a 40:1 ratio! I dont miss that part. You figure with your years as a teacher, they could give you a window! Love the flowers, your plans.. here is to a great year for you!!

I am so jealous that you are still out of school! I am an assistant principal in my system and went back to work two weeks ago! Our students come back August 5th! Enjoy your last few days and have a wonderful year!
