Hit Your Style Sweet Spot with A Change of Accessories

This was one of my favorite outfits last fall.  I wore it with a leopard scarf and loved the look. But, in an effort not to be bored with it, I switched up the accessories…and I like this look as well.  Changing accessories around with wardrobe basics keeps your style fun, updated, and interesting.I do not shop on Etsy often, but I did find this scarf on Etsy and I am so pleased with it.  I like the mid-length scarves…not too short and not too long.  Most of the longer ones I will wrap around at the neck, but this one just added the different style I was looking for. The small tortoise shell necklace underneath was a Chico’s flash sale over the summer and I picked it up for $9.99.Then when I want to wear this again…maybe I will pull out the leopard.  When you are bored with an outfit, what do you do?  Do you stop wearing it or do you try to change it up with your accessories?  Sometimes, fashioning your outfits is a little like painting a picture… little touches can make a big difference. This is another pair of my Rockport Total Motion shoes.  I wear these a lot I know…but my feet are so happy in Rockport, I don’t want to mess with a good thing.  Shoe love!

I found some fun accessories below on sale!  Enjoy….

Keep Smiling!

  1. This gave me some real inspiration Pam! I have a black top that has a cowl neck and I’ve become completely bored with it, typically wearing it over a skirt. When I saw this post, I immediately thought of that top and plan to add a more colorful scarf next time I wear it, and maybe some narrow pants instead of the skirt. I really like the cut of your top, it seems to be slightly longer in the front. It looks great with the scarf and necklace (something else I’ll be adding to my black top!) I admit, when I get bored with things I just keep wearing them anyway, so now I’m inspired to try a few different looks for fun, and to keep my clothes updated and fresh!

  2. I love accessories because they are such an affordable way to expand my wardrobe. Sometimes I’ll try pairing an older sweater or jacket with a different outfit or one it wasn’t intended for. I’ve been pleasantly surprised doing this. You are wearing one of my favorite color combos!

  3. Love those shoes on you, Pam.
I will be pulling out more scarves as you have inspired me.

  4. I love your style and fashion suggestion’s. Unfortunately I live in England and the stores here do not carry this stock.

  5. Wow! The metallic shoes and the tan squares black scarf are the pizazz in the tan and black neutrals of this look. You look great.

  6. You can be inspired and mimic outfits no matter where you are. That’s why I do this to encourage you to go out and have some fun on the budget you have, with the stores you have, at the age you are, and with your current size. Don’t let anything hold you back for having fun!

  7. I love this look Pam. I also love how much you’ve been sharing your heart lately. Thanks for keeping it real. When I get bored with my pieces I often change to a different color bottom, or go from pants to a skirt. It’s time to finally pull out some of my mid-weight scarves as Fall has come to Ohio. I don’t have camel pants, yet I do have a deep-ish khaki, I’ll try this look. Thanks also for sharing cute yet comfy shoes. I’m sooooo done with uncomfortable shoesM

  8. Me too Amy…no more uncomfortable feet! Thanks for the encouragement. I could not blog any other way. I am not here to be a model or a plastic face out of a magazine…I truly want to inspire and help. I hope the past 8 years of blogging has been that way. Thanks for being here.
