Pamela Lutrell stretches holiday money at Goodwill SA

During my week off for Thanksgiving, I was able to get in a little thrifting time at Goodwill SA and discover more ways to stretch your holiday budget. There are always great finds at our local Goodwills here in San Antonio and the organization does so much for the community that it feels good to support them with purchases and donations.

I am wearing a Coldwater Creek jacket I found at Goodwill SA recently and I really love this jacket.  It was in like-new shape and the deep olive green in one of . my favorite colors.  This is a great look for work right now and I can do so much with a jacket like this.  The price, you ask?? Only $4.99.

Pamela Lutrell finds holiday treasures at Goodwill SA

My five grandchildren are all under the age of 6, so having some plastic Christmas cups on hand is essential.  These are so cute and had space for a straw if needed.  At $1 each, they came home with me.

Here are some of the cute Christmas decorations I found at Goodwill…I did not bring it all home…but it was cute enough to share with you and show you how a treasure hunt at Goodwill can put a little Christmas cheer in your own cup!

Pamela Lutrell adds to holiday collections at Goodwill

OK, well, I do have a snowman collection and the weigh lifting snow girls were a must-add to the collection…so they did come home with me at a $1.  I made sure to go by Goodwill on a Wednesday because that is senior day and every little discount helps, no matter where the discount is!  Seniors were all out that day.  Both stores I visited were packed.

Here is a warning:  I saw a gorgeous antique mirror that would have looked lovely in my guest bedroom.  It was very heavy, so I thought I would shop a little and then come back for it.  By the time, I went back it was gone.  Don’t hesitate when you see something you think would work.

Pamela Lutrell reminds it is time for donations at Goodwill

It is that time of year when many of us clean out the closets to get donations in before the end of the year.  Remember, San Antonio, take your donations by Goodwill.  They are so appreciative and happy to have them.  The success of our Goodwills here in SA has been the generosity of our community.

Thrifting is a great way to stretch you budget and have some treasure hunting fun!

KEEP SMILING!!
