Style Research: Is Anthropologie’s fall collection for women of all ages and sizes?
Happy Thursday, ladies…time for a little style research to answer the question if Anthropologie’s Fall Collection is for women of all ages and sizes!
My answer is a resounding “Yes!,” but allow me to explain the reason for the question….
I have had several women tell me that they do not shop at Anthropologie because they believed the brand to only target younger women, and not carry sizes for larger misses or plus size.
I decided to take Leigh Ann and head off to the beautiful store at The Shops at La Cantera and do the research myself…thanks goes out to Shelby, who assisted us while there.
Shelby helped me to envision the sequined tunic above with faux leather pants…YES! I agree….
You can see by my pictures, that I found several items to try on…they fit and I would not label them too young…just fun!
I discovered they have a section of the store just for Plus Size, and in many items I sized down to get a more flattering fit.
If you want more classic looks, they do have several neutrals and solid color garments in store now. Along with fun accessories you can add to create your own style.
I believe, I have everything I tried on in the slideshow today.
I love this little kimono-style jacket and I actually sized down to a Medium to get this fit. It is warm and cozy to start your day with a smile.
If you live in colder climates, you really should stop by…the fabrics are so soft, warm and cozy! Fun pajama styles as well.
Finally, keep Anthropologie in mind for Gifts. They have some beauties…I think my favorites are the 12 Days of Christmas plates…each one is lovely!
There is just something about this store that makes me smile and want to stay awhile. I love the design, the prints, the products, and the fact that I can shop for all of the adult females on my list in one place and they will love it.
Of course, it is a very safe atmosphere…my mask was only removed for pictures. Remember, this is a store for all of us!
KEEP CONTEST DEADLINE IN MIND!

Love Anthro & haven’t been in one of their stores in probably 2 years. I can always find a ton of neat stuff there, though. I’m in love with those embroidered felt slippers! And that blue sweater with the gorgeous wrap/scarf is out of this world. I rarely wear blue but that shade makes me swoon. And I also love that cream cable-knit you’re trying on: it’s a true classic. What a great collection! Thank you. You always look like you’re having such fun in these adventures you brighten my day.
I do like Anthro and stop in whenever I’m in the area. I’ve had more success with summer pieces and housewares, but you are showing some great fall/winter looks here. Their clothes are just plain fun. You have to really search through because there is definitely that “young girl” element, but pieces can be found for the rest of us too! I’ve found it a place to pick up unique little gifts also. And they do have creative jewelry! I love that jacket you are wearing in the first photo!
I love doing these posts…it is fun! Thanks Janet!
I like it too, Karen! Definitely appeals to my creative side!
Love this store and find the most unique and unusual tops as well as gifts….you are right on! I can spend an hour browsing through their giftware, household items not to even mention their lovely clothes. Just love this store!
I enjoy shopping at Anthro, but it’s a bit of hit and miss for me (more miss). However, it can be like a treasure hunt, and I appreciate that the store truly has a “look” and feel that is not generic. It’s a great place to look for gifts.
It’s so much fun…isn’t it, Paulette!
I know! I saw so many unique gift ideas! Thanks Linda!
We only have one Anthropologie Store in our City and its located downtown; so its been a few years since I’ve been into one as do the majority of shopping in my area. From what I’ve seen online though, I do like their unique inventory. i.e.: Like the jacket you are modelling as not something you will see every where. Speaking of which, the wraps you are featuring I might even be tempted to dress a table with in lieu of the conventional, as feel they could be paired with a setting of casual stone-wear/dinnerware that often come in an array of colors ‘n patterns …. and the faux fur throws would also make good Xmas Tree skirts . I guess I’m a ‘double duty’ gal but that is how my mind, just works ….. lol!

What a fun shopping excursion! I have only ever been to Anthropology once, when visiting Seattle. I remember it was full of fun and interesting finds. Sadly, our small town has lost Macy’s, Penney’s, Hallmark, and Pier One over the past four years. That is why your blog and general online browsing are my main sources for knowing what’s out there! Of course when I visit my sons up near Portland I do enjoy some in person shopping. 😁 The Christmas plates are adorable.
I am happy to be here for you, Connie and bring the stores right here! (The plates are precious and high quality)
I like the way you think, Brenda. Keep those ideas coming!
I’m 65 and buy several things at anthropologie. Try to read comments first. Like the shoes too. Appeals to me for happy boho outfits. They are really good at following up with items in your “bag” if you don’t purchase at the time you view. Sales alerts or discount days come around pretty often.
Thanks for sharing, Connie! ALL DISCOUNTS WELCOME!
I will have to add Anthropologie to my list of places to check out once I’m shopping more regularly again. The sequinned top is very flattering on you, Pam.
It is a fun place to spend time, Elaine! I do like the sequined top a lot and agree it would look great with my faux leather leggings.
Anthropologie has not been on my list because the one time I went into our store, I did not see Petite clothing. However, glad to see there is more gifts items so I will give it a try the next time I am at our mall. Thanks for giving us ideas. The best to you so enjoy your blog
I know they carry petites…you might try again. Thanks for being here.
I had always assumed Anthro was a young woman’s store until recently. They have some beautiful kimono type jackets that I love! They also periodically have a “sale on sale” with some great markdowns! Thank you for highlighting this store for us!
You are so welcome, Kate!
