Recommended products that relieve my holiday stress

recommended products for holiday success

Happy Thursday, everyone….I am in full countdown mode.  But,  wanted to share with you a few of the recommended products that relieve my holiday stress.

Once I learn products I can count on , it is a huge stress reliever for me….so these are recommended products I have tested and use.

I have already shared with you that we have one artificial tree and one real tree.  Mr. B and I still enjoy the aroma of a beautiful real Christmas tree.

This year we selected a lovely Nobel Fir.

While selecting the tree at Home Depot, I noticed this product, Miracle Gro for Christmas Trees, claiming to reduce needle drop.

That has always been the primary draw back to a real tree is the needle drop.  So, I decided to give it a try and so far….amazing.

In three weeks, we have not dropped one needle (seriously!) and the tree is so soft.

They also have it on Amazon, but you will pay more and save this for next year too.  Miracle Gro for Christmas Trees on Amazon.

I have tried many things in the past, so far, this is the best….and that relieves much stress where the tree is concerned.

My second stress reliever on my list of recommended products is the Navage.

This is one to discuss with your medical professionals, but after three years of using the nasal wash system with distilled water, I continue to be so glad it is in my health routine.

I began three years ago after two extreme sinus blockage incidents.  it is amazing how this helps and has been worth every penny.

Now, last year, I got so confident of how my sinuses felt, that I went about four weeks not using Navage.  I regret that since it was followed with illness.

But, I am back and believe it is a big part of my current recovery…especially with my allergies and sinus.

When I am faithful to use it daily, I do not cough as much at night and sleep better.

The next on my list of recommended products is Lume Deodorant.

A confession:  As I age, I am more aware and careful with my own personal aroma.

Growing up, I had a grandmother that I remember clearly to this day for the way she smelled…and not in a good way.

I would never want my grandchildren to think about me the way I think about her.

I have tried every all natural deodorant on the shelves and they are all expensive!  Some work better than others, but none have been what I was seeking.

Until I decided to try, Lume.  Yes, it is expensive like the others, but unlike the others…it works!

I personally am pleased to find something, I put on and forget about the rest of the day.  I am not aware of me…if you know what I mean.

Their tagline is that they are outrageously effective…for me, I would agree.  Check out Lume on Amazon.

My list of recommended products which have relieved holiday stress, has to include Redken Frizz Dismiss.

Our weather for the last two months has been “drenched” in high humidity and lots of drizzle.

When you have hair like I do, that can be stressful to go out looking your best…even for running errands.

However, this product from Redken continues to impress me and I trust it now after using for two years.

To control the frizz, try Redken Frizz Dismiss.

WHEN HOLIDAY STRESS IS GONE

I enjoy the preparations more!

This year I was presented with a challenge for the Christmas Village.

We decided to remove from the front room a larger table which in the past held the entire Christmas Village display.

I wasn’t sure what to do with a smaller table and lots of fun to show…and I love it and I know the grandchildren love it.

So, I purchased the Walmart Foldable Table to set beside another smaller piece of furniture.

This would be on my recommended products list…I am glad we have this little table now for many reasons, and it folds away so nicely.

I really like how the village turned out…now on one table is the city, and on the other table Is the country!

The slightly lower table has the country since it includes most of the pieces the kids like to touch and enjoy.

Thank you for joining me today for Recommended Products that Relieve My Holiday Stress.

  1. I think there might be some truth about saline nasal wash reducing CVOID severity. I read someplace that someone, maybe in Australia, did a study and saline spray seemed to reduce CVOID sympthoms.
Now that we’ve turned the heat on I’m onto the nasal wash, it helps keep my nose hydrated.

That table from Walmart looks just like what I need. Plus it packs down when you’re finished with your project.

  2. Yes to both, Rose! It’s a nice little table to have especially with a growing family.
I have tried many different saline was bottles…the Navage is the best for me and I do believe it has made a big difference.

  3. My allergy doc always recommended the NeilMed Sinus rinse and I found that extremely helpful. It may not go as deep at the Navage but it sure kept me breathing. I suffer from yearly sinus infections and having allergies only complicates the whole thing! Ugh. Happy you found something to give your relief.

    Enjoy your Christmas decorations!

  4. The Navage along with beginning allergy shots two years ago have helped so much! That was after two big sinus surgeries! Thanks!

  5. Some very interesting products mentioned- thank you! Sinus issues are a bit different here- we deal with extreme dryness so I run a bedroom humidifying system in wintertime . ( plenty of humidity other seasons ). It helps. I will pick up some Redken hair frizz relief fir our summer/fall.
I’m enjoying this year – Christmas with two 4 year old twin grands is a fun time!

  6. Thank you for your impressions of these products. I would have tried Lume when I first heard about the product but I find the ads so unpleasant I just could not buy.

  7. Your village, divided into city and country, sounds lovely and I can imagine how much joy the children have gazing into those scenes. I have determined to merge two recent passions, ceramics and growing indoor plants, into what I hope will become an evolving microworld of scenes I can change up and keep my piano students guessing as to what will come next. I was inspired by their tales of the antics their Elf on a Shelf fairies get into, and the miniature worlds in potted plants on Pinterest. These little endeavors are stress relieving for me. 😁

  8. I agree, Suzi! I just needed something that works and it does. But the ads are pretty bad.
