Chico's outfits

Happy Monday!  Today, I am showing you a few ideas for Chico’s outfits for a casual Thanksgiving

Plus Christmas gift ideas as well.

Right before the surgery, I stopped by Chico’s to see what I could find to top off your jeans.

A few in this audience have enjoyed the posts with current ways to wear jeans, and most of you agreed recently that your Thanksgiving would be casual.

Those are the comments that motivated this post for Chico’s outfits.

Casual Thanksgiving are most often shared at our own homes or that of family…where there is a need to look nice, but not over the top.

So, let’s look at what Chico’s has for us in the way of Chico’s outfits for a casual Thanksgiving.

CHICO’S OUTFITS FOR A CASUAL THANKSGIVING

Chico's outfits

I just kept on the jeans I wore into the store and did not change.

But, Chico’s outfits often include a fun pair of CHICO’S PANTS. And there are many fun creative designs currently on the website.

I also wore into the store, the green TOUCH OF COOL SATIN TRIM TANK…I love this tank…for the fit, feel and beautiful green color.

The first featured item today is the REVERSIBLE SHORT KIMONO…and I sized down to S/M.

This creates Chico’s outfits for the warmer casual Thanksgivings.

I really like this blouse…the lovely colors and trim just made it a special top.

It can go with jeans or nicer pants.

This is the FLORAL PRINT RUFFLE SHIRT in the print called Enchanted Forest.  It is lovely.

Your Chico’s outfits with denim for warmer climates would love this poncho.

Especially over jeggings or leggings.

This is the SCROLL PRINT WOVEN PONCHO…I sized down to S/M.

Also, Chico’s styles it over a turtleneck top if you need more warmth.

The kimonos are beautiful and perfect toppers for casual Thanksgiving dinners for many places.

This is the FLORAL SHORT KIMONO, and again, I sized down to S/M.

There are several different ways these short kimonos can be styled for Thanksgiving…also, slip them off while cooking, and slip them on when the door bell rings.

  1. More great holiday outfit ideas that work in our real lives – thanks so much! I shopped in-store at Chico’s Friday night and planned to come home and order the cape I found through your links, but I cannot find it on their website at all. It was a dark teal green sweater knit cape or poncho, with black “pleather” trim and a black zipper flanked by tiny sparkling black stones. Did you see this while you were in store, and if so, do you have any idea what it is called? I’ve searched for “poncho” and “cape” and also just on the color green and cannot find anything like it on the website. Thanks for any tips you may have so I can purchase it through your link, as it’s a fairly expensive piece and I’d like you to get credit for it. I would never have visited the store if not for your recent posts on Chico’s.

  2. I have always loved a denim and diamond look, so the spangled sweater was probably my fave today. While I’m not much of a print wearer, the ruffled blouse was beautiful. I agree, most of what we do nowadays is look “nice, but not over the top.” Perfect phrasing! One of my struggles early in retirement was buying clothes that came to feel too “workish” or dressed up. I’ve finally embraced – even decided to honor – my casual lifestyle, and these were great ideas.

  3. My Mr. B has been dealing with some health issues so I don’t often get to read your blog until later in the day (there’s so much “patching” that goes on at this age!), but I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been keeping you in my prayers for a speedy and comfortable recovery. I had hammer toe surgery on several toes on both feet a couple of years ago, also with pins in several toes, and it was one of the best things I did, so I know that you’re going to be very pleased when this is all over. Hang in there and know that many of us are praying for you and keeping you in our thoughts!

  4. Most of us are working through this together and I hope to bring ideas that are helpful for our current lives. Our wardrobes are only successful if we actually wear the clothes! Thanks Linda.

  5. Your prayers are the best gift to give me. Thank you so much, Niki…I am excited about the future.

  6. Thanksgiving is at our home this year. I will probably wear jeans, so it was interesting to see some of the tops from Chico’s. I will need to wear a blouse, no decisions yet. Praying for your recovery.

  7. Thanks for the tip, Pam! I still couldn’t find the green cape with the black sparkly zipper, so it must be sold out. Instead, I got a gorgeous velvet midi dress that will be perfect for a holiday wedding I’m coordinating. Those links are a win/win for you AND your readers!

  8. I live in jeans and will probably wear my black denim trouser jeans from Chicos on your links. Thanksgiving will be just my Mr. B and myself this year. We do fine and enjoy each other’s company. He is vegan so I just get my dinner from City Market. It is good old fashion turkey dinner and sides. We usually eat different food but together. He makes his and I make mine. I don’t care for turkey much so I will probably substitute it for chicken. Pam, rest and work on recovering and enjoy a very casual holiday.

  9. Oh my, I wish we had a Chico’s here in Canada and that I had an excuse to purchase the embroidered lace handbag. In closing, my favourite top on you today I think is the ruffled blouse. -Brenda-
