Talbots Summer Trunk Show Highlights
Happy Monday, Friends! I am so excited to share with you today the Talbots Summer Trunk Show Highlights.
Of course, this means showing the Talbots summer collection which was the star of the Talbots Summer Trunk Show.
The other star was Lindsey Malmborg. A stylist from the main Talbots campus in Hingham, MA.
Lindsey was so much fun to work with, because……
I was one of the models in this Talbots Summer Trunk Show!
Which happened last Friday, at the Talbots Village at Stone Oak location in San Antonio.
After participating in this fun trunk show, I highly recommend that you attend one in your area if you have the opportunity.

TALBOTS SUMMER TRUNK SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: WITH ME
The entire Talbots summer trunk show was designed to teach us all the different ways to create summer outfits from the pieces and I learned so much for travel and my home wardrobes.
Lindsey would have each model pause with her and then demonstrate the many different ways to wear the looks.
One of my outfits was a little touch of Americana, and I could see on many of you for Memorial Day or Fourth of July.
I am wearing the SAILOR COLLAR CARDIGAN – AMERICANA STRIPE, over the V-NECK SWEATER TANK…this would also be super cute under a linen blazer and jeans.
In the trunk show, I wore a column of indigo blue and the bottoms are the LIGHTWEIGHT WOVEN STRETCH STRAIGHT LEG PANTS.
Lindsey also likes the Americana styles with a sailor pant.
This is the WIDE LEG SAILOR PANTS.
And, the Talbots Summer Trunk Show highlights, of course, highlights accessories.
Lindsey liked the idea of me in an Annie Hall-look with the BOW DETAIL BACKLESS FLOPPY STRAW HAT. (It’s always fun to be Diane Keaton if only for a little while!)
The necklace is the MOTHER OF PEARL PENDANT NECKLACE.
And make sure you see the STARS & STRIPES NECKERCHIEF.
I was so busy with the modeling and taking picture of the other styles, that I did not get my final first look.
But, it included what I am wearing here underneath the LINEN GIRLFRIEND CARDIGAN in the beautiful color called heritage green. I slipped the cardigan on while waiting for the final third piece.
Underneath, I wore the TALBOTS NANTUCKET LINEN WIDE LEG CROPPED PANTS, with the LINEN SQUARE NECK SHELL – OVAL MEDALLION.
I so wish I had a picture, because these pieces looked amazing with the CLASSIC WHITE LINEN BLAZER, and the TURQUOISE JEWELRY.
TALBOTS SUMMER TRUNK SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: EILEEN
Another missing piece today is that I do not know all of the ladies’ names, but I did want to use the ones I spent the most time getting to know.
This is Eileen. Here first look featured the FASHION DENIM JACKET – EVA…which is a great jacket designed to slim and flatter.
I believe every model commented on how much they liked the look of the top underneath. It is the METALLIC HALTER TOP...and I hope they create one in gold!
Eileen is wearing these with the CROP STRAIGHT LEG JEANS in the color called daisy.
Lindsey showed different options on these pieces with the MODAL FRENCH TERRY WIDE CROP PANTS in white.
Lindsey was wearing this HALTER MADRAS SHELL, and believed it would also look super cute with the denim jacket and yellow pant. Lindsey’s jacket is the LINEN BLEND BLAZER IN THE BLUE IRIS STRIPE.
She is also holding up in this group the CHEVRON STITCH TASSEL TIE BACK BOAT NECK SWEATER in silver…and this one does come in gold!
Eileen also looked amazing in the EFFORTLESS JERSEY MAXI DRESS in the floral tiles print.
TALBOTS SUMMER TRUNK SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: SHAMESHA
Not only does Shamesha have a gorgeous name, she also possessed the best posture of any of us.
That is why I chose her to be the featured photo today for the Talbots Summer Trunk Show highlights. These ladies were all so lovely.
Shamesha is showing us another jacket look…this is the CLASSIC JEAN JACKET in the Rosie Wash with the fun TROPICAL FLAMINGO BROOCH….the touch of whimsy just went with her big smile.
She is also wearing the CROPPED WIDE LEG JEANS in white; the BOXY CREWNECK TEE in Pink geranium; and the FLORAL PARADISE BORDER OBLONG SCARF.
TALBOTS SUMMER TRUNK SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: ADRIANA
Meet Adriana, a stunning joyful lady.
She is modeling for us the EMBROIDERED SLEEVE VOILE TOP, with the CANVAS A-LINE SKIRT in a print called floral paradise.
I will show her second look tomorrow.
TALBOTS SUMMER TRUNK SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: HIGHLIGHT DRESSES
There are several nice summer dresses here that were featured in the Talbots Summer Trunk Show.
I especially wanted. you to see these three.
The white is the CABLE JACQUARD SHORT SLEEVE DRESS, which is also cute under a denim jacket and with the CHARMING FLORAL OBLONG SCARF.
Lindsey is holding the EFFORTLESS JERSEY POLO DRESS in the medallion tile print. She demonstrates how cute it would also look under a denim jacket.

This is the TIE WAIST MAXI DRESS – ELEGANT MEDALLION…beautiful for any special summer occasion.
The jacket was super popular last summer and went fast…so Talbots brought it back. This is the SHORT SLEEVE JEAN JACKET in White.
Top this look off when out and about with the RAFFIA INSET RANCHER HAT.
I also wanted to show you this ORGANIC COTTON INTERLOCK STRIPED T-SHIRT DRESS in the color Canyon Rose and White.
This is a wonderful summer terra cotta color for us autumn-palettes! I also like the ORGANIC COTTON LINEN SHAKER STITCH V-NECK TOP in the canyon rose.
TALBOTS SUMMER TRUNK SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: FINALLY DON’T MISS
Don’t miss this cute look from the Talbots Summer Trunk Show on the far left.
This is the CHARMING CARDIGAN in the Picnic Paisley blue and white, paired with the LINEN BLEND SLIM LEG CROP in the Sunset Stripe, and popped on top with BRIGHT THREAD WRAP NECKLACE.
Super cute overall look…right? And the striped pants come in many versions.
This is for San Antonio, ladies…Talbots has amazing local employees.
I watched the women of the Village at Stone Oak location helping the models and their customers and they are incredible…and quite stylish in their Talbots looks.
I know for a fact how kind and helpful they are.

WOW! What fun! Kudos! My Talbots had a trunk show a few years ago, but not since. It was so full of energy. I could feel it in yours. Such wonderful outfits and you all made them come to life. It makes such a difference! I can’t wait to pour over the pictures again and read the tips tomorrow. All the women’s personalities shined. What a wonderful group. I wish I knew them all.

Thank you for the Talbots trunk show. I am so pleased that they had a plus size woman!! Talbots does a very good job with plus and especially plus petites. I saw a few things that called to me.
I love the green on you. Buy it! The short sleeve jean jacket is nice.
Oh my gosh….love Talbots because it’s really the only store that I can go into and find the classic styles in my very small size 0 or 2 petite. The fashions were amazing and isn’t it fun to see real people! Not tall skinny models😂 you looked amazing in the Nantucket shell and pants in green. Thankyou for this and I really look forward to tomorrows post. God bless!

What fun for you Pam! I attended a Talbot’s show last year and was impressed with whole production. Like the San Antonio show, the models were customers of all ages, sizes and shapes which gave us good idea of how the clothes worked for real women. The stylists had great ideas. I came away with a few good useful purchases. I had intended to attend this spring but with a new puppy in the house decided it was better to stay home and work with her. So it was so cool to be able to see the one you where you are a featured model. Looking forward to tomorrow’s styling tip. Happy Monday!

I too got some style inspiration from your day. I’m always amazed at the power of accessories. The red necklace really makes the last blue outfit sing, and the denim jacket outfit would be just a denim jacket and pants without the pin and the scarf. While I think a few of these were misses (notably those light, butter yellow pants with the metallic silver top (clashed to my eye, and not in a good way), I do think a stylist gets us out of our boxes and gives us choices we might not make. I know that the good sides of having my adjectives and “style” are many, but the flip side is that we can be dismissive of certain looks on ourselves that might be lovely. This makes me want to play in my closet today, and maybe pull out some of the dozens of scarves that have been languishing since I retired.
Have fun playing, Linda…I love to play in my accessories. Working with Lindsey did get me out of my box a little…I will have more tomorrow.
Talbots trunk shows are a big hit in our area. We had one 6 weeks ago and are having another this week. Standing room only at both stores! I love how they ask their customers to be the models. It’s fun!! I’m glad you got the chance to enjoy the show and look forward to seeing what Lindsey pulled for you and her style tips.

What a nice collection! What I really liked was that the models were all different sizes and their ages made it more real to me. Most of the time outfits are shown on younger very thin models and I can’t picture myself wearing the outfit. Great show! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to order the Navy blue pants and maybe a shirt for a start!
My Talbots store in Palm Desert, California also has wonderful associates who are creative and helpful. I bought a number of pieces last month and just recently ordered the flag tee shirt and a red denim jacket. Talbots has been my go to store for many years; I introduced the store to a few of my friends here and now it has become a monthly outing for us. We will definitely have to do their next trunk show.

So much fun to see you modeling again! You wore all those outfits so well, and it helps so much to see them on “real” bodies. As others have mentioned, I love the diversity among the models and the positive energy of the group shines through even in photos. That green outfit is PERFECTION, and I hope you came home with it. Talbot’s clothes are hard for me to wear; for some reason they never seem to fit me. Their lack of tall sizing results in me choosing other retailers at the same price point who offer it, like JJill and WHBM. Posts like these always inspire me to give them another try, and after the huge success I found with the embroidered navy top purchased last month, I need to visit my local store in person again and check out those green pieces. Thanks for getting our week off to such a fun start. And was that LeighAnn in the group of models? One of them sure looks like her!
No, sadly, Leigh Ann could not join with me for this one. I do encourage you to go back to your Talbots and try on some of the looks, Lorri. You just might be surprised…these summer tops are so much fun.
I loved seeing the many different women age and size wise. The green on you is perfect. I hope it went home with you. I wish I lived close to a big city that has a Talbots. I have not lived near a Talbots since we moved from Des Moines to Colorado in 1995! Trunk shows look like so much fun!
It was fun, Sydney…but I did this post so ladies like you could enjoy the show…so I hope you did.
As a long time Talbots customer I enjoyed seeing the pictures and suggestions of the show. I wish the store in State College Pa would be stocked as well and not always in a state of a sad merchandising.It used to be my favorite shopping store but it really changed with the constant change of management and associates.
We have wonderful stores in San Antonio. I hope yours goes through improvement for you, Viola.
