What I wore to the baby shower

What I wore

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Today, I thought you might like to see what I wore to the baby shower this past weekend.

I am thrilled I could attend and share what I wore to the baby shower, since I am leaving soon…it was such a blessing to go.

We have two babies on the way this fall which makes leaving harder to do, but I know I will see them often.

One note about recent posts on my hair.

My hair is driving me crazy, but I left my appointment as one of the last things I would do before leaving town.

I usually do not go this long without color touch up and cut….but thank goodness it will be done later this week.

So allow me, please, to take you along to this big event and see exactly what I wore to the baby shower.

WHAT I WORE TO THE BABY SHOWER:  THE OUTFIT

what I wore

Here I am with my two beautiful Daughter-in-Laws and precious oldest granddaughter…who loved helping open baby gifts for her future cousin.

The shower was for the one who is having her first, and, on the left, this little mama is having her fourth, third girl.

I really liked wearing this eyelet outfit from Chico’s and it is on sale now.

It is a perfect elevated casual style….and perfect for a shower.

What I wore was THE GEO EYELET SOFT COPPED PANTS; the EYELET SHORT KIMONO; and the MICROFIBER TANK….all in classic navy.

I love SOUTHERN LIVING NECKLACES at Dillard’s and own several.

As far as price goes, they are less than many of the brands we we like and the designs are lovely.

If you have a special occasion, I do recommend you look these over…of course if you love costume jewelry, like I do.

One more comment on what I wore, the fit of the pants is really good and very flattering for a wide leg crop.

WHAT I WORE TO THE BABY SHOWER:  THE MAIN EVENT

What I wore

A group of my DIL’s friends hosted this lovely party and it seemed to have a garden party theme with lots of green.

If I were going to change what I wore to the baby shower, it might have been to go with a floral outfit with more green…though I really am happy with what I wore.

what I wore

She looked lovely in her floral dress and her very talented dad provided greenery arrangements….

I love these green vases.

Kinsley helped to open every package and had such a good time.

However, she is hoping to one day get a “girl” cousin…since all the cousins are boys…but she (and her sister) holds her own just fine.

The baby shower was a lovely event and a great break from moving duties.

I will not make the next one, but so glad I could go to this one.

If you have any questions about what I wore to the baby shower, then just let me know.

Tomorrow is Today’s news roundup day…until then….

  3. I’m hoping this message doesn’t disappear- I’m having a difficult time again with pop-ups. ( thought I had mastered this). But want to tell you how lovely you look in the navy pieces. So happy to hear you were able to attend this lovely baby shower, Pam! My goodness, love the green decor

  4. Thanks Paulette! I really like this navy outfit…would like every better if my hair was done (Ha!)…and the greens this year in decorations and clothing just have me captivated.
    I appreciate you being here….

  5. I really like the eyelet outfit. It is casual, but the eyelet gives it a dressed-up look & feel. Those cookies are so pretty & set the tone for the green theme. It looks like everyone had a grand time. I’m glad you were able to attend.

  6. It looks like it was a lovely baby shower. I loved those green and white cookies! Everyone looked so happy including you in your navy outfit. I didn’t notice your hair in need at all. You have lovely thick hair! Stay strong this week but if tears come then let them. We are lucky to be able to get emotional release from tears.

  7. What a lovely shower. The green decorations with the cookies and the floral arrangements were so pretty. Your navy outfit was perfect and I love the picture with the two moms to be. So glad they had the shower while you art still in town.

  8. Hi Pamela,
What a joyful day, and a beautiful baby shower. The cookies are gorgeous and the flowers so pretty. The girlfriend that hosted the baby shower created a memorable day.
Both DIL pregnant at the same time, wow.
The ladies are so blessed to have you as a loving always welcoming MIL. As you know your granddaughter is so adorable, she has such a sweet smile, well look at her mother, how could she go wrong.
You looked wonderful styling your blue outfit.
Take care, count down can make you feel like a stress bucket.

  9. Thank you, Katherine. The day was full of blessings…a nice time out of that stress bucket!

  10. Love the look and fun of this shower. Those green and white cookies are unique and look yummy. I tip from the veteran Navy families in our church group on moving. Put a couple of rolls of toilet paper and a hand soup dispenser in your car as you go to your new home. Sometimes those are forgotten and they will immediately be needed.

  11. What a beautiful and memorable occasion, Pam. You always look so put together and approachable! Your daughters in law are just glowing and your sweet granddaughter looks precious and will have fond memories of her times with her female relatives and friends. I’m sure you’re nervous about the move but new chapters in life are always that way. Think of the new places to explore, the fun putting your new home in order and still having family nearby. It will rejuvenate you and your hubby. 🥰
Please take us along on your journey and show us how you repurpose your furniture and what you add for your new lifestyle. Enjoy the adventure! Maybe your granddaughters can share ideas for the kids’ guest room and make some pictures for you to hang in your new home. ❤️
