  1. I only had time to take a quick peek at the roasted butternut squash and pear salad recipe and the Mexican cornbread video, but will enjoy taking a deeper dive this afternoon since I will have a long wait outside my father’s eye surgery. You must be very excited that your move is mere days away now. Hang in there, and take good care of yourself and Mr. B (and Tux). I can’t wait to hear all about how you set up house in your new space, and hopefully you’ll share lots of pictures. 💕 from Oregon to you!

  2. I found the article on what plants not to cut back in the fall really useful plus there were links to other good gardening tips just below the article. And I saved the scone recipe.. It looks fabulous and will add it to my collection of scone recipes. I usually only make them around Christmas and give baskets of scones as hostess gifts. Wish I had the metabolism to eat them more often. Trinny’s video was fun. She certainly has a unique style. Since I’m working at cutting down on the contents of my closet I found her advice useful. I got distracted my her poufy lips especially when she put on the red lipstick with the yellow outfit. I think she’s overdone the fillers. I have a friend who has gone way, way overboard with fillers and she’s hardly recognizable anymore.

  3. I love scones but also cannot eat them often. If you try the recipe, let us know what you think! Thanks Kathie!

  4. The Mary McFadden article was very interesting. I remember reading about her all of my life. I loved her attitude about fashion of feminine, simple lines and comfort. It has been my attitude too. Trinny is always fun and I loved her column of cornflower blue suit. It is my color too and I actually found a few things in it this year. Today feels like fall here in Colorado. We are seeing some leaves beginning to change. Our morning walks with Trix are so much more pleasant at 65-72 degrees. I love my Denise Austin shoes by the way.

  5. The article about looking effortlessly stylish was very relatable for me. It appeals to my classic simplicity side. I find Trinny & her wardrobe to be a little bit over the top, but to each their own.

  6. So glad you love those walks, Sydney! I have my Easy Spirit on right now. Hopefully cooler mornings my walks are ahead for me too!
