2024 Fashion Trends: Rich Browns

2024 fashion trends

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Today is the return of 2024 Fashion Trends with today’s trend of Rich Browns.

My focus each week on 2024 fashion trends is to help you understand why you are seeing what you see so much online and in stores.

Since learning that I am a vibrant autumn palette, I can remember times that finding beautiful browns has been difficult.

So, when I learned the rich browns were in the 2024 fashion trends, I shouted a big…thank you!

As always, with color there are different shades of the rich browns and different names.

My slideshow widget is still not working (gotta love technology), but I have for you today some selections that I thought may be of interest to you.

Once you click on a selection, you can also go throughout that brand to see all they have in browns…there is so much since it is in the 2024 Fashion Trends.

For example,  CHICO’S COCOA BEAN is found at this link in several great options; and EILEEN FISHER’S WREN is found at this one.

And, following are specific pieces at some of your favorite retailers of all price points in rich browns…..

2024 FASHION TRENDS: TRUFFLES & CHOCOLATE

2024 Fashion Trends

Most of the rich browns in the 2024 fashion trends have food names…and yes, they are yummy.

Spanx Air Essentials is growing in popularity and on the front of the 2024 fashion trends.

This is the AIR ESSENTIALS BRUSHED V-NECK TUNIC in espresso…and comments say that it runs slightly large.

You also may want to check out the AIR ESSENTIALS CARDIGAN in truffle brown.

I am one of those who really prefers to wear v-necks, so I was glad to see Talbot’s offer the PIMA V-NECK TEE in dark walnut.

2024 Fashion Trends

Talbot’s answer to air essentials is the AirKnit.

This dark walnut in the AIRKNIT STRETCH JACKET looks super comfy.

See more here for TALBOTS DARK WALNUT FOR FALL.

2024 fashion trends

As always, JC Penney’s offers more affordable options in the 2024 fashion trends.

This is the JCP LIZ CLAIBORNE WOMEN’S V-NECK LONG SLEEVE TEE in Chocolate Sauce.

2024 fashion trends

This is a Land’s End tee which is available at several retailers and the color is called rich coffee.

I have the link for MACY’S LANDS END TEE.

2024 Fashion Trends

This is a very nice looking sweater from Banana Republic Factory…one of my favorite places for layering pieces.

THIS IS THE BANANA REPUBLIC FACTORY RIBBED LIGHTWEIGHT SWEATER in DARK OAK.

2024 Fashion Trends

For a little fall comfort in a rich brown, consider Athleta’s truffle.

This is the Athleta Easy Fleece Crew sweatshirt in truffle.

2024 Fashion Trends

The Frank & Eileen Kane Capelet Hoodie is popular with several ladies I know in Texas.

I can say from experience that Frank & Eileen launders very well and maintains its colors and shape.

Their rich brown is called Irish Chocolate…are you getting hungry after all of these names?

2024 FASHION TRENDS: SPECIAL PIECES IN RICH BROWNS

2024 Fashion Trends

I wear brown often, and I love these Quince Washable Stretch Silk Blouses in hot fudge….which they do have other options in the hot fudge rich browns.

I have one in short and long sleeve because they look so nice under a blazer.

And speaking of a blazer…..

2024 fashion trends

I love this blazer from Ralph Lauren.

This is the Ralph Lauren Cotton Blend Oxford Blazer in a brown/tan.

2024 Fashion Trends

Finally, today in the 2024 fashion trends, is this lovely shade of brown called dark nutmeg at J.Jill.

These are the PONTE WELT-POCKETS SLIM LEG PANT.

And I also want to show you the ANGLED POCKETS STRAIGHT LEG PANTS in gingerbread heather.

I cannot think of many more ways to describe rich browns with food names, so we will stop here for today!

Let me know if you have any thoughts on the 2024 Fashion Trends: Rich Browns.

I love brown…it is a staple neutral for me, meaning I will wear it with almost any other color or print.

Thanks for stopping by…and I hope to be here tomorrow with Sunday Reflections in a new home…..

  1. Pam, these brown items are lovely, but now I’m hungry. 😁 As a cool skin tone girl with salt and pepper hair, I have trouble styling brown. Any ideas from the group would be appreciated. Happy weekend.

  2. Me too except silver blonde hair so u could wear it on the bottom pants, bag, shoes. I’m looking for brown booties no seude gets dirty out here.

  3. I love these browns! I remember you telling me long ago that color guru Annie liked chocolate or marine navy as the base neutral on blue autumns, and I back then I could find almost none of it in stores. I agree, this is a great neutral that pairs with anything, though my eyes are still getting used to navy and chocolate together. However, I actually find I prefer a luggage tan or an amber for mixing with everything, and amber might truly be my best color. That said, chocolate brown is one of the few neutrals that has the richness, elegance, and heft to truly replace black in my wardrobe. I wish it would get cool here (80s again tomorrow), because I have some great sweaters sitting here …

  4. Yes! We have cool mornings, but by evening it is at least in the 90s…so ready to wear my new items!!

  5. Marcia, I have cool skin tone as well, with blue eyes and brown hair shot through with silver in recent years. Effective for me is to wear a pair of brown slacks or jeans, paired with a white or cream top and then I add a pretty scarf that is a mixed floral with brown and blue touches. I also love my brown suede booties, and several saddle colored leather and suede handbags. I also like to wear an aqua tee or blouse with brown on bottom, or a baby blue cardigan over a white tee and brown on bottom.

  6. I have given you lots of price points here, Linda. The $10 JCP tops are great tops. I own them in four colors and have washed and worn for several years. You might give them some consideration.

  7. Connie and I wear the same colors with dark brown jeans or pants. I just put in my cart, 2 tops, one in teal and one in crushed grape which looks like a dusty lavender. Then I spent time looking for high rise wide or boot cut jeans in petite. Yikes! What is it with having petites that are 29” inseams!? I have had to shorten my jeans lately because of this longer sizing. The sale at JCP is on until tomorrow and is really good. So shortening will happen. I got all of these items for $80! The quality of Liz Claiborne products are good and last on me for years. I know many of you are on bigger budgets than I am but I am grateful to have my budget also covered here. An Athleta sweatshirt is $80 and I got four outfits for that price. I will be 80 in two months and don’t need to have a sweatshirt that will last 10 years. Thank you for including me and my small budget Pam.

  8. I am another cool toned lady, but I do like brown or tan pants with a variety of cooler colors near my face. Lately, I have been seeing lighter brown accessories with white or regular denim jeans. I like this look & having been thinking about looking for a brown tote style bag.

  9. Well I really like the food list and the garments are very pretty, but this summer will pass. So glad you showed so many options.

  10. Great post! Brown is such a versatile color and I have quite a few pieces in my wardrobe. They vary in shades and pair so well with my deep autumn palette. Today I have an older and heavier weight boyfriend linen jacket with a marine blue shirt and a king fisher scarf. Yesterday I had on a pair of dark brown jeans and a chestnut sweater with a moss jersey and golden moss scarf. Tomorrow I will wear a warm brown knit blazer with a tomato top and scarf. I am still wearing my ivory jeans as much as possible. When the sun is out, it is warm, but as soon as it hides behind a cloud, a scarf is imperative for neck warmth. We are exploring northern Vermont next week, and hoping to see our New England trees at their peak. I need to start planning a little capsule wardrobe with layers! By the way, sometimes I find Jjill browns are cooler than they might appear in the catalogue, but I am sure the cooler gals here are aware of that. You sound like you are settling in, Pamela. Kudos!

  11. I am also wearing my ivory jeans…it is still so warm in Texas that it is hard to completely switch to my heavier clothing. Have fun on your trip…sounds wonderful.
