Best swimsuits for women over 60
Happy Monday, ladies! I hope the big game was fun for all those watching. Today, we are discussing what I believe are the best swimsuits for women over 60.
After my last vacation to Mexico, I went searching for the best swimsuits for women over 60.
I was looking for many things in a swimsuit, and after research discovered a brand that I believe is the best.
This is one that merits your attention, so join me now for the best swimsuits for women over 60.
BEST SWIMSUITS FOR WOMEN OVER 60: MORE THAN THE POOL
For me, the best swimsuits for women over 60 must be for more than wearing around the pool.
I am a spa-girl. I love everything spa and it puts my swimsuit through a workout.
For several days on this recent trip, I went from shower, to the dry sauna, to the shower, to the wet sauna, to the shower, to the hot tub….to the pool.
For this regiment, I like a two piece that is easy on…easy off…and drys quickly overnight…outside. I do not put my swimsuit in a dryer.
The best swimsuits for women over 60 for me must be:
- A flattering two piece design
- A great fabric that holds up to the wear and tear of the spa, pool and beach
- Offers a variety of colors and fun designs.
I have found the best swimsuits for women in only one brand.
BEST SWIMSUITS FOR WOMEN OVER 60: MIRACLESUIT
After my last trip to Mexico three years ago, I was deeply disappointed in the swimsuit I wore, and that took me to Dillard’s.
It was during this search that I discovered the MIRACLESUIT brand.
You will see following the link that they do make one piece suits; however, as a woman over 60 with incontinence, I wanted a two piece….for ease and comfort.
At that time, I purchased this MIRACLESUIT Solid Dazzle Underwire Tankini Swim Top in the Nori green.
I believe this tankini design is one of the best swimsuits for women over 60 because:
- It is very flattering in the way it flows over the middle section.
- The underwire holds the girls up firmly and comfortably.
- The material is quality and excellent for multiple uses.
- The tankini top does rise up when in the pool, but once I held it down after jumping in, it stayed.
AND…..
You can select one or more different bottoms to go with the tops. I believe we get a better fit this way…since often the bottoms need more room…if you know what I mean.
I currently wear the MIRACLESUIT SOLID HIGH RISE BIKINI BOTTOM…which is not bikini at all on me. I did size up on the bottoms. For those looking for plus size, Dillard’s does carry those sizes in this brand.
This picture shows the MIRACLESUIT Solid Fit and Flare Skirted Swimsuit Bottom.
And some of you may like the MIRACLESUIT Separates Swimshort.
I love my green Miraclesuit, but since my daughter has a pool, I am thinking this summer it will be nice to own another top.
They offer many at MIRACLESUIT.
But, this one really has my attention…it is the MIRACLESUIT Tapiz Dazzle Scoop Neck Underwire Tankini Swim Top.
There is a lovely matching swim coverup….the MIRACLESUIT Tapiz Lace-Up V-Neck Caftan Swim Cover-Up.
I also plan to add the skirt or short bottoms…not sure which one to go with.
It is so easy to approach swimsuits as separates. That way once we select the bottoms we like, all we need to do is add the tops if we want variety.
This is the first swimsuit that I have felt comfortable and confident wearing in years…to the point of walking around in it without a coverup.
I truly believe these are the best swimsuits for women over 60.
BEST SWIMSUITS FOR WOMEN OVER 60: MORE ABOUT THE SPA
I am such a fan of spa-life and always feel relaxed and ready to take on anything once I go.
Both massages and my triple collagen facial were amazing.
And for the first time, I experience Chlorophyll water on each visit.
I do not know enough to confirm the promises are true, but you may want to check out this article: LIQUID CHLOROPHYLL: IS THERE REAL SCIENCE BEHIND THE WELLNESS TREND?
If anyone has a testimony to share on Chlorophyll water, please do.
But, I can share that all of the other spa services returned me to a brighter me.
And wearing a confident swimsuit in the wet areas was wonderful.
Any questions on Miraclesuit…ask away….
There is no reason for me to shop any other swimsuit brand than this one. It covers everything I want and need in a swimsuit over 60.
Thanks for being here….I hopefully will see you tomorrow….
KEEP SMILING!!

Though a bit expensive, I, too, will have none other than Miraclesuit swim suits. However, I have different needs on the style. I’m in the pool 4 days a week. Two days are water aerobics and two days are lap swimming. I’m there at 9:00 am, a time when almost everyone is in my age group. We all wear one piece suits. We’re so active in the water that no one likes loose material around us. And most of us wear rash guards on top of the suit to protect against the sun. Rash guards are fitted Spandex long sleeve shirts or jackets. Yes…the pool is an outdoor heated pool. And as an aside, many of the people in the water are there due to aging physical issues, myself included. It thrills me to see these people still engaging in sport.
Thanks for sharing this, Linlee! I have had such difficulty in the past finding the best swimsuits for me that Miraclesuits are worth it.
My go to for swim suits has always been Lands’ End. Flattering styles, well constructed and they always have a promotion going on which results in a lower price point. To go with the tankini tops you have the option of high or regular waisted bikini bottoms, skirts, or shorts in 2 different inseams. Being from Wisconsin, I’m happy to support a local business as well.
I certainly support giving your backing to a local business. Thanks for joining in Jocelyn…I tried one of those suits and Miraclesuit just works best for me.
I love a good water circuit, too. My favorite was at the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay spa, Mazatlan. The variety of stations, with hot, cold, piercing and gentle, even an ice station…left us both invigorated and relaxed. Such a great feeling.
I have never tried a Miraclesuit, but I’m glad you felt so confident in yours. Mixing and matching among two piece options is fantastic. I do the same with all my Lands End suits.
I was such a chicken with the ice baths, but I did do an occasional cold shower. I wish there was a way to do a water circuit locally…it makes such a difference in how we feel.
I do water aerobics three days a week. I prefer a skirted bottom these days, (always 2-piece) but I’m sure I will try shorts bottoms in the future. I like Garnet Hill swimsuits, but have supplemented Amazon tops with their bottoms. Suits fade **so fast**.
When I do water aerobics and swim I wear Coolibar brand swim capris and tops (long or short sleeve). They provide sun protection (which we all need to avoid dermatology issues) and dry quickly. I like that I can go anywhere wearing them, without a coverup, because they resemble street clothes.
Thanks Kim…I do believe the quality of the Miraclesuits will not fade (or they haven’t yet) and last longer for you. Good for you and the water aerobics!
That is a good point, Jean. I wear mine around the spa and resort, but would NOT wear it even with a coverup to run errands.
Miraclesuit is such great quality, great prints, so many options, but it is so tight! Even with sizing up, I find it uncomfortable. I might try it again. I love that flowy tankini top.
What a marvelous post today! Perfect for moving into spring. I have shopped at Dillards since I was like 18 years old. I always find what I need, at a price point that works for me. I haven’t had a swim suit on in like 15 years, but this post gives me hope that even at my age I can once again enjoy the beach and the pool. Thank you so much.
You are welcome Rhoda…head over to Dillard’s and try them on to see what you think. I was like you and had not worn a swimsuit for years until I discovered this brand.
I have not tried the one pieces at all, because the tankini fit what I was looking for. It is not tight…and I do wear two different sizes on the top and bottom. That is one of the reasons I like the separates.
Separates are what I would need, bigger on top and smaller on the bottom. My one piece fits but I always spill out of the top. A two piece would be wonderful. We don’t have a public pool here only an Elite Fitness Gym with a large pool. I like your flowy top! That would be my choice too as I am getting fluffy around my waist. The Dillards prices are too high for my budget but LandsEnd has very similar suits which I can afford on sale.
I tried on less expensive suits and this is the one that was worth it. Sometimes we can spend more money on less expensive things attempting to find what works best. I know Lands End is a good brand and I do have a link for it, but after years of swimsuit shopping, this is the brand I stand behind as the best.
I love the look of the tankini top. Does it float up when you are in the pool?
Hi Kate, I explained in the post that when I first get in the water, it floats up, but I smooth it down and it stays. I hope that helps.
