I loved that fashion video! I’m visiting Rome and Naples this winter, but sadly not Milan. I would love to go there. I noticed great shoes (not always walkable … why is she walking funny … ah … the shoes hurt her feet :)), and lots of secure holding of bags, mostly from tourists. I also noticed bigger bags, even if worn crossbody, but also a lot of huge, unstructured, soft totes. This might be a more significant, long lasting trend. I did like the look a lot. When you originally brought this up on the blog, I got out my Brahmin totes, and have been wearing them again, but they are way more structured and ladylike than these I’m seeing. I think it’s wearable and an instant update.
Thanks for sharing your observations, Linda. So many of us see different things in these videos that I think it is very helpful when we share what we observed. I love watching street style…and window shopping. I also noticed the larger bags and I have been missing my larger bags lately…I might pull some out.
Good morning Pam! Loved watching this video, ( Milan) . I find that I was really watching feet! Sneakers, shoes and boots of all shapes and designs! I noticed too, both slim leg and wide leg pants and both seemed very very stylish! People appeared to be very relaxed for the most part…….happy in their skin!
I loved your last observation, Paulette! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video. So interesting. Also interesting to see that the furs (faux) which are featured in NY Fashion Week for next fall/winter are very much on display in Milan already. Light blue appears to be a trending color which is nice for me as a summer. Perhaps it’s only that it caught my eye a couple of times.

Thanks Mary…yes, faux furs are back in a big way for fall!
The pale blue and the blush pink which is almost white was on view in the windows. I love and wear both! The wide leg pants and jeans seemed to be popular among the walkers young and old. The older woman tottering on stilettos was not flattering. Those in sneakers and low boots and shoes looked better and walked better. There were a lot of faux fur and fur trimmed coats. Most coats were very long and over sized. Yes, people seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves. Not the stressed rushing people we seem to have here in our big cities. That is why I love our small town. Everyone walks slower and smiles, even stops to chat.
Thanks so much, Sydney!
