Fun Girlfriend Lunch in J.Jill New Arrivals
Happy April, friends! I am not foolin’ today on April 1 that I recently had a really fun girlfriend lunch in J.Jill new arrivals.
J.Jill new arrivals feature a color that I need for my new spring palette wardrobe…that being yellow….more about that later.
When Leigh Ann arrived for just a short time, I decided it would be a fun girlfriend lunch to go check out a special eatery with a selection of gourmet foods on the side.
So, I hope you will join along today as I share with you about this fun girlfriend lunch…and, as always, we will begin by discussing clothes!
FUN GIRLFRIEND LUNCH IN J.JILL NEW ARRIVALS: YELLOW
Most of you know that I recently learned that I am a Spring Palette and one of the colors I can wear, but did not own, are the softer, warmer yellows.
When I saw this J.JILL EYELET SCALLOPED HEM SHIRT and the yellow is called lemon.
I like wearing it as a third piece, but it is designed to be a shirt. I have on my Chico’s MICROFIBER TANK In golden haze.
On my Spring Palette Fan, my best yellows are called Canary Yellow and Corn Yellow.
J.Jill new arrivals also include other selections that are worth considering for a Spring Palette Wardrobe:
I like the look of this top…it is the LINEN PINTUCKED TOP.
The print is called sunlight with small watercolor fronds.
And if you are looking for yellow, check out the J.Jill new arrivals in….
Also in sunlight, are the VERSATILE COTTON-STRETCH SLIM LEG PANTS…and it comes in seven colors.
I am also interested in the LINEN V-NECK MAXI DRESS in the lemon color. I know monitors are tough, but the lemon color looks warmer than the sunlight yellow.
Also in linen is the EVERYDAY LINEN BUTTON-FRONT SHIRT in sunlight, and it comes in seven options.
Finally for yellow in J.Jill new arrivals are the TRETON RAWLINS 2.0 SNEAKERS in yellow…these are pretty cute!
FUN GIRLFRIEND LUNCH IN J.JILL NEW ARRIVALS: SPECIAL PLACE
I am so glad I had my top from the J.Jill new arrivals to wear to take Leigh Ann to this special place in Abilene called CORDELL’S.
I am standing with the owner, Joy, and once she found out it was our first visit, she gave us a lovely, informative tour.
First of all, Cordell’s is an excellent Bistro with fresh, homemade food made by Joy’s husband, Jason.
The salads include vinaigrettes made fresh at Cordell’s from their own olive oil selections and unique balsamic vinegars.
Leigh Ann and I were taken with all of the different olive oils and vinegars.
Joy took time to tell us of their special team that searches the world for the best olives.
They currently feature oils from Portugal.
If you want to learn all that we learned, just go to this page called THE TRUTH.
They have little tasting cups by the olive oils and by the vinegars. Wow…are some amazing.
I went home and tossed all of my grocery-chain bought EVOO.
After tasting these, I just want to use the ones that have this amazing flavor.
I took home the strawberry balsamic and lemon olive oil so that I can make this salad.
I think Mr. B will love it. I also picked up a few other recipes I want to try.
For more salads, I brought home the Cinnamon & Pear balsamic and I am thinking of putting it on roasted sweet potatoes after they come out of the oven.
And, Leigh Ann? Well, she found several bottles to take back with her when she goes to the summer home in the north.
Joy assured us that Cordell’s will ship….just contact them online, or call 325-455-1524.
I am blessed to be in the same town with this delicious gourmet shop.
Leigh Ann and I agree that this is one of the most fun girlfriend lunches we have done together…and, you know, we have done several.
We also agreed that neither of us have had that much olive oil in one day!
Thanks to Joy and her team for making our visit such a special one.
Feel free to ask any questions about our fun Girlfriend Lunch in J.Jill New Arrivals….and I hope we will see you tomorrow…I have one more little adventure with Leigh Ann on Thursday!

Whether shopping new arrivals or clearance sales, please shop with the links on my SHOPPING PAGE…thank you, thank you to all who shop this way in order to support the blog.
You look great in this color! It is a must for your wardrobe! I’m so happy you made it to Cordell’s!! I’m getting low on garlic oil. I don’t think I can cook without it. So many wonderful things.
I bet the garlic oil is excellent. I purchased a Tuscan blend to try, but it is so great to be in the same city with Cordell’s and be able to go often. Thanks for insisting that I try it, Jeanine.
How nice! I wonder what season Leigh Ann is? I liked both yalls tops. I would have worn the top like u did over the tank. I got a coral scalloped top like yours that came with the tank at Walmart very nice.
You look great in that sunny happy yellow!
Great u found yummy olive oils
Such a fun day! Love all the Spring yellow tops. Some of them may end up in my closet. 🙂
Leigh Ann is an autumn, and is the softer autumn, not the vibrant one. Thanks Debra.
It is such a happy color….isn’t it? Have fun shopping….
Pam, you look great in yellow. Leigh Ann is as cute as ever! Does your store have pomegranate vinegar? It is my favorite.
They may…I will have to check. They have so many and we did not try every single one. Thanks for letting me know, Marcia…I will look for it.
Great to see Leigh Ann. These oil / vinegar shops are so much fun. I first went to one a decade ago in Seattle. But they are everywhere now, and most offer simple recipes based on their stock. For everyday use, though, I’m sticking to my organic EVOOs and balsamic vinegar from Modena.
I am excited to stick with this one now that I have tasted them. Thanks Maeve
That yellow shirt is perfect for you. When you recently featured it I was hoping you would purchase it. Your lunch and oil & vinegar tasting with Leigh Ann looks like it was a lot of fun. Years ago we tasted and purchased fabulous oils & vinegars in Italy. Enjoy!
I pour a couple of Tbls of those vinegars into soda water to make a festive drink. They add a not too sweet flavor, not too many calories and no alcohol.
I bet that tasting was super fun, Kathie! Thanks for the kudos on the shirt…I am getting into colors I have not worn in years.
Great idea, Rose….I may give this a try!
Now that’s a fantastic color on you, hands down! I’m so glad you and Leigh Ann had a great time together. My friend and I happened into a dedicated artisan oil and vinegar shop on our summer get-away last year and had that same fun tasting experience, each of us coming away wanting to dash back home to start building all the new salads we had in mind. 🥗 We bought the drizzle-pour spout to pop into the tops, and that little device is a game changer. It has helped each bottle really last a long time. My favorite flavor is a Caprese vinegar which I pair with Lemon oil, Wow! 👌 I use these on sandwiches now, too, just on top of the arugula. 😋
I need to get away from bottled dressings with a lot of sodium and sugar. Quality oil and vinegar is what I should be using! You look awesome in soft yellow.
I am such a fan of scallops and eyelet and your yellow topper looks great…though I should not wear yellow. I have a pink one from Chico’s I bought last year and a blue one I’ve just purchased from Appleseed’s. Here in South Georgia we have an olive growers association that includes farmers in NW Florida. Apparently, our soil is very similar to that of areas of Italy where olives are grown, and there are enough growers to have a processing plant. I’m sure many readers also live where olives are grown but this development of this industry in our are is fairly new and many do not know it exists. I’m sure you and Leigh Ann will enjoy your variety of oils.
Thanks Jean…that is exactly what we are doing…no more bottled dressings…I have already told Mr. B he will not miss them. These oils and vinegars are delicious.
We will…once I began to actually taste the oils, I saw a difference. I just used those at the grocery without tasting them. Now I know what a difference it makes to have quality olive oils, in dark bottles, with great taste.
I resisted the drizzle pour spouts and now you have me thinking I need to go back and get them. Sandwiches are a great idea. Thanks Connie!
Such happy smiles! Love the lemon eyelet shirt. The Chicos tank underneath it is perfect, great combination along with the jeans cut and color. Oh, Cordells’s looks like a lovely shop/bistro. And they share recipes? How awesome is that? The strawberry salad sounds delicious, and would also love if you could give us a peek at the chopped Italian salad recipe behind it? I went on their link thru the Truth link you posted. Glad to see they ship these specialty oils and vinegars. Coming back to this later to place an order.
Hi Deanna…refresh your browser…I just put in the other recipe and it should show up in this post for you.
WOW! That lemon olive oil & strawberry balsamic dressing sounds amazing. It would be perfect for any spring or summer salad, & I do love a good salad using fresh summer produce. Your yellow shirt looks perfect for spring adventures.
I am going to make this salad today…just sounds too good to wait. Thanks Becky!
How wonderful that Cordell puts out their recipes for their products. It all sounds so yummy! I love the lemon shade of topper on you! It is such a cheerful color. I wish I could wear it. Like Celia, I wear blues and pinks. I loved the linen shirt in the lilac and also the celadon. Green has to have blue not too much yellow for my complexion. It sure looks like you and Leigh Ann had a great time!
We do d have a great time! Thank you!
Like Kathie, I was excited to see that you bought the yellow eyelet blouse. When you first featured it I imagined you wearing it to host Easter for your daughter’s family. You shine so brightly in that color! As always, it’s so much fun to see you and Leigh Ann time out and about together. I’m not an avid cook or a “foodie” but lemon olive oil sounds amazing! I like lemon pepper chicken, so I plan to try the oil with that as a start. I love supporting smaller, local businesses and I’m glad that Cordell’s has an on-line option.
I think these oils and vinegars are perfect for a novice cook. They add so much flavor with so little effort!
I do like this blouse so much and will wear it often…Easter time is a great idea!
You look great in that yellow. Love going to places where you can taste the different flavors of oil and vinegars. Went to one years ago in Fredricksburg and have done one in Tombstone, AZ.
Thanks Linda! Yes, the tasting makes such a difference!
Thanks for posting the Italian Chopped Salad Recipe for me! Can’t wait to receive the oils and vinegars.
Enjoy, Deanna!
