Think FALL now to save money and look great

think fall now

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I know, I know…we have been looking at beautiful summer clothing, but I want to remind you to think FALL now to save money and look great.

Talbots has a sale that I did not want you to miss out on, and that prompted me to give you more information about shopping for fall clothes in order to save money and look great.

Since Saturdays are all about the 2025 Fashion Trends, let’s begin today with the trend colors, we will see in clothes and home decor this year as we think fALL.

Pantone has announced these trend colors for fall…and now that I am a spring palette, I like what I see in several of the colors here.  I have my eye on that brandied melon as I think fall.

And these neutrals are gorgeous…

However, I do want to tell you that if you know your best colors in a palette…then I recommend we stick to those no matter what the trends are this fall.

For the warm palette ladies like me, I am excited about the french roast brown.

And we will continue to see the COLOR OF THE YEAR, this lighter brown in a Mocha Mousse…I have seen it in many spring collections so fall.

So wearing beautiful, best colors is one way to think fall…but the money saving is in the CLEARANCE SALES….

  1. Oh, my goodness! That brocade coat!! I could see that with dark wash jeans. And the other coats and jackets are stunning, too. Pure glamour.

  2. I love these new colors. Lyons Blue looks a lot like Kingfisher, one of my favorite colors. I would like to add more dark chocolate to my closet for fall. I would like loafers or flats and a bag, and pants for sure. I would maybe add a jacket too. I have my eye on a suede slouchy shoulder bag from Quince. Unfortunately, many chocolate shoes come only in suede, which is beautiful but completely unworkable in the sloppy, salted-walk winters we have due to the lake effect. Fall is my favorite fashion season, so I’m totally fine with looking right now :).

  3. Thanks for the fall color trend preview. Wow, what a great palette. I hope to see some of these colors in stores in the fall. I love Chili Oil, Hot Chocolate, Bronze Brown and Brandied Melon.. Lyons Blue looks to be cross between marine blue and teal. I would love to have a suit in that color. Lemongrass if pale enough can be a great neutral for those of us in warm seasons. Now to wait for the styles we’ll see. The John Mark jacket is adorable. Thanks again for a fun Saturday trend article.

  4. Glad to hear that, Linda. The sales are looking good for quality exceptional finds!

  5. Thanks for this fresh breath of fall air, just as the heat index tops out at 102 in Fort Worth today! It’s by far my favorite season of the year, especially for my wardrobe. I’m excited to see that the “official” fall palette features some of my best colors, and look forward to seeing how retailers like JJill and Chico’s interpret it. I wear all those colors except the yellow, orange, pink and darkest brown. I have a lot of the darker purples like the Mauve Wine that have become a favorite fall/winter staple color for me, but I was surprised to see that’s now considered a “neutral.” I feel like that somehow gives me permission to build more outfits around it, and can’t wait to unpack my fall clothing tubs when the time comes. Two years ago I found a skirt, shell and lightweight cardigan from JCrew’s end of season sale in the Winterberry color, and need to get busy losing weight so I can wear them by the time fall rolls around. To me, the Brandied Melon looks a lot like burnt orange. Pam, I hope you will still be able to work your favorite team’s colors into your new spring palette?

  6. Well…sadly my burnt orange is no longer in my best colors…but for games…I will wear it!

  7. Thank you for a great reminder to check the mark down items at the different retailers.
