Spring Fashion Finds

spring fashion finds

Happy Fashion Friday, friends!  Today,  I want to show you some spring fashion finds as I go out shopping….with friends!

In this post, I will share a few spring fashion finds from three different brands.

The majority of these looks are clothes we tried on to show the audience…not necessarily for our own closets.

We hope you enjoy shopping with us today!

SPRING FASHION FINDS: CHICO’S

Spring Fashion Finds

Leigh Ann and I wanted to stop by Chico’s for their 40th Anniversary celebration.

We each found a few pieces we wanted you to see for our spring fashion finds.

In the first picture today, Leigh Ann is wearing a size 1 in the Pima Floral V Neck Tee, with the Girlfriend Double Fray Indigo Crop in Petite 0.5.

I think these Girlfriend Ikat Cross Stitch Ankle Jeans are so much fun…and I have a lot of green I could wear with them!

I showed you a pair of trouser jeans yesterday, and here is Chico’s version (I will watch and try to put on a pair for you).  The Chico’s Trouser Jean comes in Regular and Petite.

I tried the jeans on with the Linen-Blend Jacquard Kimono …which is honestly more of a cardigan than a kimono.

I like the print and tried it on with the Linen-Blend Ikat Jacquard Tank…I do prefer the fit of the tanks with a linen-blend.

Leigh Ann has always looked great in the Zenergy skorts.

So, one of her spring fashion finds is this UPF Print Side Pocket Skort.

She tried it on with. Pima V-Neck Tee which comes in several colors.

For my final spring fashion finds today at Chico’s, I have on a Modern Poncho, and I sized down to a S/M.

I know many of you love the ponchos …since I see what you order…and this modern design is fun for spring.

I also like the Spun Rayon Modern V-Neck Tank.

I tried it on with the Juliet Straight Crops in Alabaster.

SPRING FASHION FINDS: MING WANG

spring fashion finds

I stopped by Dillard’s on my own to try on some Ming Wang for spring.

Ming Wang is an excellent brand, however, I call it a brand for cool ladies!

Their colors are heavily concentrated in the cool palettes.

My spring fashion finds for readers include this lovely Stretch Cotton Poplin Ruffle Stand Collar Button Front Top in pink satin.

I really like the stand up ruffle collars on these tops…you can shape them the way you like.

This is the Woven Landscape Brushstroke Metallic Print 3/4 Sleeve Statement Jacket.

It is a lovely jacket that you can dress up or down.

I also like this Internet Exclusive Cotton Poplin Woven Watercolor Floral Print Round V-Neck 3/4 Sleeve Button Front Blouse.

And, if you are looking for a very flattering fit in a white top for layering, then check out this Mandarin Collar Sleeveless Zipper Front Cotton Blend Washable Blouse.

I owned one of these in my professional wardrobe and it is a great top.  I did sell it when I stopped wearing white near my face.

Here is another lovely topper which can be dressed up or down.

This is the Wing Collar 3/4 Sleeve Floral Lace Coordinating Jacket.

I tried on both jackets with different colors in this Knit Jewel Neck Sleeveless Side Slit Tank.

Why no Ming Wang dresses here?  First of all, they have beautiful dresses.  But, even with the weight loss, they do not fit me well.  These dresses tend to run small to size.

But, they are lovely.

SPRING FASHION FINDS: MARSHALLS

Karen and I hit a Marshall’s recently and they are packed with spring fashion finds.

I know I cannot link to them, so we wanted to remind you about your local Marshall’s.

  1. It’s fun seeing lighter fabrics and brighter colors and anticipating spring! We’re still a few months away from it, but the stores are stocked up! I just am not getting in to all the florals, but there are a lot of other choices. Glad to see that delicate jewelry is making a strong comeback, along with some more feminine touches.

  2. They are many fun spring items out now…hope you can get out and experience them soon. Thanks Karen.

  3. Great to see the ladies model! I’m liking some of these spring trends, with the brighter colors and chunky cuff bracelets. I’ve been looking over JCrew. Do you ever buy from them?

  4. I have only purchased occasionally from them. But I will look over their spring and see what I find! Thanks Linda!

  5. Thanks for sharing these looks. Its so helpful to see the outfit on a real person and BTW you look lovely in that kimono jacket. Love the frayed crops Leigh Ann is modeling. My Chico’s rarely has any petites. I’d need to order online. Is Leigh Ann usually a 0.5 petite (that’s my size too). Also love the flats you are wearing at Marshall’s. What brand are they? I’m going to call my J Jill to see if they have that curved hem jacket you modeled yesterday. I always need to try on there as the sizing is all over the place. Happy Spring to you.

  6. Hi Kathie, those leopard flats are old Aerosoles. I am about to wear them out. They have been fun and so comfy to walk in! Wish I had a link for you!

  7. After looking at your offerings this morning, I went snoop shopping in a few of the stores. Fun! Now I need to weed through my closet and see what I actually own and what holes to fill. Do you, by any chance, have a suggestion for sturdier linen shirts than what is being shown in some of the stores? It seems tissue weight to me, and much easier to wrinkle than some of my other linens from years past. Many thanks for all you do. It was fun to see your shopping friends!

  8. Hi Deborah, actually the sturdiest linen tops I have found were at Marshall’s and Banana Republic. You might look there. I understand the problem.

  9. As always, thanks to you, Leigh Ann and Karen for doing the heavy lifting for us! I love seeing the variety of sizes the three of you wear, and it really helps me find ideas for my own closet, without going to the stores in person. I am having the best luck lately at JJill, but as another commenter mentioned, their sizing is all over the place lately. I can sometimes wear a small in their tops, but needed a medium recently, even after a weight loss. I love that they offer tall sizing, which often helps get the cropped-type pants somewhere near my ankles, and helps the tops cover my bottom. They have an olive/cream striped French terry cotton tunic I think you’d really love, and it would go with those Chico’s cream cropped pants you’ve worn a lot lately. I bought similar pants at JJill after seeing yours, but had the frayed edge hemmed, in keeping with my style adjectives, which probably should include “old” – LOL! Can’t wait to see what else you ladies come up with, and thanks again!

  10. I hope you purchased that Green ikat kimono. It would look great over a column of white for a beautiful summer outfit.

I purchased a pair of the trouser jeans from Chico’s yesterday.

  11. I am still glad to see trouser jeans return! I really like them! Thanks Jan!
