I was very much interested in the vegetarian meals because I don’t enjoy meat. That first recipe featured is what my dinners look like most days. I’m going to go back over the others for ideas to possibly mix things up because mealtimes have pretty much become refueling, and cooking once upon a time used to be almost a hobby. How things change! Also, the article on spending time in nature… how true. Our weather is improving overall and it’s more pleasant to be outside. But it truly is a benefit!
WSJ article requires subscription 🙁
Sorry about that…for some reason it goes straight to the article for me, and I do not have a subscription. But I just removed it.
I thought the indigenous tattoo artist on Vogue’s cover was excellent. I was glad to see the inclusivity both for indigenous people and older women. I don’t read Vogue much, but I will pick this issue up. I want to hear more about this intriguing woman.
She only appears on the Philippines edition of the magazine, so unless that’s where you’re located, you’ll likely have a difficult time finding it.
Such a fun decorating article, and I did a nice nosedive/rabbit hole following several links. Enjoyed today’s articles.
I do enjoy your news flashes. I hope the world has finally realized there is no reason to wear shoes that hurt your feet. I surely hope sneakers remain popular outside the gym, but I fear the fashion industry will declare them “dated” to increase sales of other styles. I wish they would focus on making sneakers look like dressier styles, and keep the comfort.
Loved the pieces on Katharine Hepburn, the 106-year-old Vogue cover model and the 81-year-olds from my area who went around the world in 80 days! Perhaps my age is showing with these being my favorites? Thanks for all the work you do curating these weekly articles for us – I would never read articles from such diverse sources if they didn’t land at my fingertips every Wednesday!
Thanks for some interesting reading. I loved the high protein vegetarian recipes and the beautiful photos. I am always looking for more ways to get protein as it is so important as we get older and I don’t eat red meat.
Thank you.
At the end of the article on perennials, there’s an article on mother-son dance music. I haven’t chosen anything yet Have you and your son talked about this already?
Hi Maeve, We have discussed doing a mash up with a slow song at the beginning, then a transition song which I have identified with him since he was 4, and into a fast song. But, he is so busy with work, that I do not know if we will get done what we have discussed…it takes practice.
