  1. Great articles, Pam. That peach cake!! Can’t wait to make it as the fresh peach season arrives. Love the Smothers Brothers. You look great in those shorts. You have inspired me. Yesterday I had an outing with my husband to a small town for antiquing and lunch in a diner; and I wore SHORTS!! Very unlike my usual mode of dress but I felt OK, and my husband said I looked great (and he’s very honest) 😄

  2. Great articles today … lots of travel … might you be going on a trip? 🙂 I enjoyed them, especially the one about healthy eating on vacation. I’ve taken some of the 13 road trips and heartily recommend Route 100 in Vermont, but think there are many more beautiful Michigan roads than Route 2. In the picture with the shorts, you look very slim!

  3. I am so glad that I stepped out in courage and began to wear shorts again! Going to wear those same shorts to my hair appointment today. Right now…they are a must to stay cooler. Thanks Marcia…that peach cake sounds so good!

  4. I always look forward to Wednesdays — you make midweek interesting. But how could you include so many scrumptious sounding cakes –LOL. Blueberry or peach? hmm … We are inundated with raspberries this year, but coffee cakes are pretty adaptable. Thanks for all the news!

  5. Great information. I’m planning to make the Keto Blueberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake… but my favorite paragraph is from the article on longevity and superfood… beans…
“The Melis family of Perdasdefogu in Sardinia, considered the “longest-living family in the world,” consumes a minestrone made with garbanzo beans at least twice a day, accompanied by sourdough bread and a small glass of red wine.”
I’ve got the bread and wine, and some dried garbanzos…. So I’m off to make some soup! Yes it’s 104-degrees today… but we eat soup all the time in the summer… so off I go!
    Thanks for all you share!

  6. We eat soup in the summer too, Dixie. I am shoring up our health for travel so I made my chicken soup…even in the heat. I feel great about that decision.

  7. Lots of good information! I appreciated the article on paint colors as I will painting in the near future, the one on thinking like an old person & the one on mornings. The last two reinforced ideas that I already had; attitude is everything & how you start your day can set the tone for the rest of your day.

  8. I agree that it can…it took me too long to learn that…but glad I finally did.
