Those antique ornaments!! The gnome village suitcase! What a delightful story. Many good ones today, especially appreciated because you clearly worked hard to pull all this together despite your surgery. Hoping each day is an improvement, as it should be after these first few tough ones.
So happy to see even a brief comment from Pamela – signs of life! Thanks to your recent Kohl’s post, I have hit every Kohl’s in a 30 mile radius and found some amazing deals in their Black Friday specials that are already in effect. You were right – their new floorplan is like entering a winter wonderland, and I have bought WAY too much already! I loved the Thanksgiving decor ideas in the detailed article, which will come in handy as it suddenly looks like I may have to cook for the holiday. I thought surely I could play the “Mama’s funeral was last Friday” card and get out of hosting anything this year. My church is hosting a workshop on “self care” this weekend, and I’ll be the one taking copious notes. I’m trying to muster holiday joy, but mostly coming up with anxiety instead; not the frame of mind our Savior’s birth deserves. Reading so many of these articles you’ve carefully curated for us has been a wonderful escape this evening – thank you so much.
I hope your surgery went well and you are able to rest. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
