Happy Tuesday, ladies! Let’s discuss just a couple of reasons to think fall now.
I know it is hot outside and it was very hot when I shot these pictures.
I really believe this audience is about half n half…one half loves reasons to think fall now…and one half hates reasons to think fall now.
But, I believe we all can agree that the fashion industry is ready to think fall now…and sometimes we need to listen, if we want certain modern garments.
Nordstrom has proved every year with their Anniversary Sale that it is possible to give shoppers reasons to think fall now…and the biggest reason is SAVINGS.
So, please allow me to give you a couple of things to think about today as I share reasons to think fall now.
REASONS TO THINK FALL NOW: THIS JACKET!

Another reason to think fall now is back-to-school time…which happens for many kids really soon.
Mentally, back-to-school just officially begins fall and ends summer.
I saw this display at Kohl’s and thought…do any kids really dress this way? I like the collegiate look, but I am a prude about those skirt lengths!
Any way, I think fall now as a Gigi and give my grandchildren back-to-school gifts.

I’m in the ready for fall camp, though I know ours won’t really start until October. I ordered the Adriatic top and cardigan from J.Jill and the plaid blazer from Old Navy over the weekend, great fall pieces, so will be excited when those arrive. Meanwhile, I’m squeezing in more summer fun with a girlfriend trip starting today. đ¤¸ââď¸đ We are seeing Jason Mraz in concert under the stars tonight, and staying at the cutest little place called Magnolia Inn.

Good morning Pam! I just ordered the Super Radiance Skin Protection by Brian. Fingers crossed that it is as good as the reviews say. I really need to become more diligent at wearing sunscreen on my face as I recently had a biopsy on my nose that was precancerous.
I live in Northern California where it has been SO hot this summer, so I am definitely looking forward to Fall!

Since I am a lover of all things fall, I am ready to think fall. I will be putting my house back together after the carpet is installed sometime next week, & a good bit of my summer decor won’t be put back into place. Things might look a bit bare, but immediately after Labor Day the fall decorations will be in play. The same can be said for my clothes. While it will be too warm for sweaters & sweatshirts, I will be transitioning my color schemes from summer to fall. I do wear some of my softer colors under blazers & cardigans so they will still be at in my drawers, but my I will be thinking fall for many outfits.
I would do the same! So often I think home decor and seasonal clothing at the same time!

Like Pam, I’m dreaming of fall and the days when our temperatures in Texas will be back to double digits. I bought lunchboxes for my two younger grandkids this year, and locker decorations for the oldest granddaughter. This is her first year to have a locker and she is so excited. I’m spending lots of time with all three this week, as their mom is already back to in-service training, and they don’t return until late next week. Thank you for setting such a great example for us of selfless grandparenthood! The days are long, but I know the years are short.

Pam – I substitute as a secretary in the public schools and can not believe what the students wear/don’t wear. Having gone to a parochial school, I’m still of the opinion that students need to be clothed; I don’t appreciate seeing all that “bare skin.” Unfortunately no one can say anything or the person will be reprimanded for comments.
On another note, I’m hoping that you will not go the “way of some “influencers” who are openly campaigning for their political candidate(s) on their website, even to the point that they are taking donations. Please don’t tell me this is something to which you would subscribe; if so, “so long, it’s been nice.” I enjoy the sensibility of your blog and the wonderful information/common sense you provide to your readers.

It runs small. This is actually a 1X because I did not want a tight fit. I usually wear xl in this brand.
Love the look of the jacket but CSW does not make clothes for Petites. Also, the care instructions for this jacket are just incredible. Still, if you happen to see something that looks like this style that works for Petites and is made of a ‘normal’ material, I’d be really interested.
