Early fall outfit inspiration

Happy Tuesday!  Today I have some early fall outfit inspiration…including great shoes.

Typically, around South Texas, early fall does not happen until October, so the refreshing breezes that blew in over the weekend were such a nice surprise.

And a lovely reason to seek some fall outfit inspiration.

I have fall clothing, shoes, and lipstick for you today.

So, let’s begin our morning together and dive into fall outfit inspiration fun.

EARLY FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION: THE CLOTHING

I am going to miss my much loved traditional red brick, so I decided to picture some of it this week.

Early fall outfit inspiration for me includes wearing the light pieces.

I recently picked up this cardigan and top at Chico’s and I already know I will wear it often for fall.

This is the Floral Heatset Cardigan in faux camel heather with the Floral Heatset V-Neck Sweater Tank.

This is a good time to consider these two pieces, because through September 15, Chico’s has buy one, get one 50% off going.

I like this for an early fall outfit because I do not need to consider much jewelry since the tops are embellished with a floral stud design.

I am wearing it with Chico’s jeans from the summer.

It is a perfect weight for when the breezes are cool and not cold.

EARLY FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION: THE SHOES

I am in love with Easy Spirit’s answer to slip on shoes!

The color is called light natural and will be the perfect combo for a fall outfit.

These are the Denise Austin EasyWalk EMOVE Walking Shoe and they are so comfortable and, yes,…Easy!

I will be walking all around our new town in these.

EARLY FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION: THE LIPSTICK

Since I am solidly an autumn palette, I love to wear the FALL CRUSH LIPSTICK by Brian.

It is the perfect shade for a fall outfit and I am on my second round.

His lipsticks are lovely and so moisturizing.

Thanks to Brian for incredible products.

EARLY FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION: BE FALL BRIGHT

My granddaughter colored this for me and Mr. B this past weekend…and I thought…PERFECT!

It is an excellent reminder for us to be bright and bold as we plan a fall outfit or two.

I fully believe that the outfit I am wearing today will tell the world I am polished, approachable, joyful, current, and creative!

Let me know if you have any questions on my fall outfit inspiration…either the clothing, or shoes, or lips!

I will be hear tomorrow with the lifestyle news roundup…and later in the week, Karen & I will do more shopping for you!  Until then….

  1. What a perfect early fall outfit for our part of the country! You look so well put together from head to toe, and that is such a versatile look you could wear it almost anywhere. I need a day spent trying on all my fall things and seeing if any of them can accommodate my current body. I always try to have a few transitional pieces on hand that are still lightweight (we’ll be back up in the 90’s this week) but in fall colors. I’ve bought a few things already from JJill and Chico’s that I’m hoping will tide me over until it’s cool enough for leggings and sweaters. None of my old favorites fit at this weight, but perhaps that will serve as motivation to drop some of the thirty pounds I’ve managed to put on this year. Cooler weather should definitely help me get moving again. In the meantime, I’m loving your fall fashion ideas and picking up a few inexpensive pieces to tide me over until I can wear my smaller sizes again.

  2. I hear you, Lorri. When I recently gained weight during surgery recovery it was so discouraging. I join you in the frustrations of sizes changing often. But, the good news is we can turn this around. Now that I am back on WW, I have hope and feel better. I will return to workouts after the move. One Day at a Time. Join me in finding ways to look our confident best and dress the body we have right now today. We can do this!

  3. I just copied your outfit from my closet. I liked the background so much I added a brick necklace. Thank you for the inspiration and the Jjill style show yesterday. I am glad cooler weather prevails as you finish your preparations. You are doing great on WW!

  4. Thank you, Deborah…made me smile that you found inspiration in your closet…right down to the brick red! Happy Tuesday!

  5. Knits are our friends, because they accommodate weight loss or gain. I’m trying to get off the four pounds I gained on my recent cruise. Fortunately, I indulged but went right back to healthy eating on my return. Using an app to track calories (free version of Lose It) has been game changing for me, so not surprised WW is working for you. Best of luck to everyone! I love your outfit and it does indeed fit all your adjectives.

  6. Thanks for sharing, Linda. Cruises are challenges, but I was able to get off a small gain from out cruise. The surgery recovery has been the biggest challenge because it has also affected my activity level. But, post move, I will up that game again.

  7. I tried wearing a burgundy cardigan which is my color, and my husband said I looked like a teacher, so I styled it differently and he said I looked like the principal! When I had my hair short they thought I looked like a teacher lol.

  8. This outfit looks so lovely on you, it really compliments your hair. I’m going to pop over to my Chico’s and check it out. I was delighted to see the ‘studs’ are bronze.

  9. Just tell everyone that you look like Debra! When I dress with my five style adjectives, it is Pam-style…no other labels necessary. Stand up for what Debra wants to say about Debra.

  10. What a great outfit today. It certainly hits all your adjectives! Your lipstick is perfect and I may need to order that as I did like it from the sample set but went with a slightly lighter shade for summer. Happy Tuesday.

  11. Lovely fall look! That is a great color for you. I think the burgundy/berry color would be more suitable for me. I love lightweight cardigans, & this one is a bit different with the floral pattern. With the matching sleeveless tank, it looks very polished. The shoes look very comfy, & I like that they are knit & would allow room for my swollen big toe joints.

  12. You look fabulous in that outfit, Pam!
I would love to hear about the new home you’re moving to — no brick from what you said today. How have you decided what furniture and accessories will work or are you taking everything and decide after you get there? We will be downsizing within the year and I’m very interested how others make moving decisions. Of course, you may not be downsizing at all.

  13. Hi Lois,
I have been writing about the process for awhile now. We are not downsizing but moving into a home my daughter’s family moved out of and we will be renting from them. I have already removed a few large furniture pieces we decided not to take ….look at the post last week called Senior Moving checklist. I am taking everything that I love but my French Country aesthetic is very different from this more modern house. Keep comeback to read how I will tackle this. We arrive at the very end of September.
