Eileen Fisher Fall Outfits at Dillard’s

Eileen Fisher Fall Outfits

Happy Thursday, ladies.  Today, I am sharing with you a few Eileen Fisher fall outfits at Dillard’s.

Today’s post is for true fans of this brand looking for ideas for Eileen Fisher fall outfits.

I completely realize that this is a high end clothing brand which has raised prices like most brands.

This fact is understood by the women who requested that I write a post on Eileen Fisher fall outfits.

They have chosen to pay the prices for the sustainable, excellent quality of fabrics and for the Eileen Fisher designs they love.

I began to wear Eileen Fisher when I was working, and still have many of those pieces in my wardrobe, and the majority were purchased on sale.

Since, an Eileen Fisher store has not been near to me, I have always shopped the brand at Dillard’s…they do place her pieces on sale.

This was my first visit to the local Dillard’s in my new home town…and it is a lovely store.

The displays  and care of the store were impressive.

I know I will be stopping by there often.

However, for those of you who want to see more affordable fashion, I will have that too…as I have always done for you.

And anyone can get inspiration for your own style from just about any brand.

So, for those looking for Eileen Fisher fall outfits who enjoy this brand, let’s get started.

EILEEN FISHER FALL OUTFITS AT DILLARD’S: THE DISPLAY

Since, I went to Dillard’s to try on Eileen Fisher pieces, I wore my own pants…the Eileen Fisher Textured Washable Stretch Crepe Slim Pull-On Ankle Pants in the Wren color.

Regular followers know that I have several pair of this pant in different colors…they have worked for me for years from professional dress to casual.

If you look at the mannequin most forward, you will see that the Wren color looks lighter…on the back right, the wren color looks darker.

It is not a deep brown, but a lighter brown and excellent for those who enjoy a warmer palette wardrobe…a very nice neutral.

The front mannequin has on my pants; Organic Pima Cotton Jersey Crew Neck Long Sleeve Tee Shirt In Wren; Soft Wool Stand Collar Long Sleeve Pocketed Open Front Long Jacket in Dove.

This fall outfit is topped off with the Eileen Fisher Washed Silk Scarf in Bronze.

The sweater/scarf style is a very popular look right now…we will discuss more specifics on Saturday during 2024 Fashion Trends.

The mannequin is styled with the Eileen Fisher Organic Cotton Fluff V-Neck Long Sleeve Boxy Sweater in gold leaf.

It is worn over the Eileen Fisher Boiled Wool Jersey Elastic Waist A-Line Midi Skirt in black.

Another excellent piece for Eileen Fisher fall outfits, is the vest on the outfit in wren.

I also love the deep pine green color.

This is the Eileen Fisher Fringed Organic Cotton V-Neck Long Sleeve Easy Fit Sweater in pine….very soft and comfy too.

My personal favorite new color is redwood…a red with a touch more brown…great for my wardrobe palette.

This is the Eileen Fisher Silk Georgette Crepe Point Collar Long Sleeve Button Front Classic Shirt in redwood.

On the bottom, I have on the Eileen Fisher Silk Georgette Crepe Wide Leg Pull-On Ankle Pants in redwood.

I did not have a short tank in the dressing room, but I did un-button this shirt and look at is as if it were a shacket…and I liked it a lot…it would look great worn as a topper.

I wanted to try on this shirt in wren that we saw on the display.

This is the same blouse as above, the Eileen Fisher Silk Georgette Crepe Point Collar Long Sleeve Button Front Classic Shirt In wren and a size smaller.

I am really drawn to green and blues together this year, so I tried them together at Dillard’s.

This is the Eileen Fisher Silk Georgette Crepe Boat Neck Sleeveless Long Shell in pine with the Eileen Fisher Merino Wool High Collar Long Sleeve Open-Front Cardigan in midnight (navy).

I do love the long tanks and have three of them from way past purchases.

Because I wear my Eileen Fisher often, my cost-per-wear was always very low.

For those of you wearing Eileen Fisher fall outfits, you may also want to stop by Dillard’s to see the gorgeous Brahmin bags for fall 2024.

This one was prominently displayed at Dillard’s with a touch of the leopard trend.

This is the Brahmin Kairos Collection Untamed Caroline Satchel Bag.

Again, allow the fans of Eileen Fisher to enjoy the post…as I would want them to allow the posts on more affordable brands.

Tomorrow, we go out and about again in my new community with a new friend to meet….hope to see you then….

  1. I was looking on Poshmark and eBay last night for some Eileen Fisher items. I keep remembering how much you and Jennifer Connolly refer to your pull on pants that are so wearable and long lasting. However, I thought I need to go into Dillards and try on some items to be sure of my size.

  2. I would recommend that you go in to make sure you get the right sizing…the crepe washable pants are go to pants for me and I love that they are available in so many colors. I wash them on permanent press and hang dry…but they have lasted for years and show no signs of wear and tear. I am glad I have them in my wardrobe and I have worn them in my new town several times already.

  3. I love EF. The clothes look like they would be big and boxy, yet they have a flattering fit. The fabrics look delicate, yet they wear like iron. The colors look distinctive, yet they seem to pair with almost anything. They seem on trend, yet you can wear them for years. I honestly don’t know how they do it. I have a friend in my jewelry making group whose sister worked for EF. My friend has a closet full (that lucky woman! 😀). Many are 20 years old and look as though they were purchased yesterday. I don’t have any EF at the moment, because while on my way to losing weight, I needed cheaper, temporary fashion. As I’ve reloaded my closet, I’ve discovered that in my new sizes, there is so much clearance that it’s unbelievable, so I was focusing on deep discounts at Talbots and Chicos. But going forward, I do plan to add EF pieces slowly back into my wardrobe. I liked all the colors you tried on today, but the hammered gold I thought was the most interesting. It’s a great color for me, so time to watch the sales!

  4. What a lovely collection of clothing. You are lucky to have Dillards nearby. I would love to have a store where I could find real departments. I don’t know what is going on with our Macy’s. So disappointing. You are finding such gems in your new town. I loved the outfits and personalities of the boutique gals yesterday. How smart of the owner to make videos!

  5. Eileen Fisher is perfect for travel and it last forever! I don’t but as much now that I retire but still get some pieces here and there. And it is beautifully size inclusive! Love the shoes too

I like a little more expensive clothing and wish you didn’t feel like you didn’t have to apologize for posting about them.

  6. Thanks for saying that, Darlene. I just want women like you to feel comfortable joining me for posts like this…and I want those who shop lower price points to feel it.
There is no need for anyone to come here and criticize those who love this line. It has happened before, so I tried to curve it off at the front. My wardrobe include many EF pieces.

  7. That hammered gold is stunning…and I also am jealous of your friend who has a wardrobe full! How much fun is that. I do encourage you going forward to keep an eye on the Dillard’s sales…I have picked up EF over the years in those sales that I still enjoy wearing.
Dillard’s does have good sale prices.

  8. Those videos are really smart. Boutiques who recognize that will do well. And I was so excited to have Dillard’s here…it is by far my favorite department store. Thanks Deborah.

  9. There is significant difference between price and cost. To me, price is what one pays at checkout. Cost is determined by how much one pays to maintain it, longevity of style, fabric and construction. Also, how versatile is the garment? I’ve Eileen Fisher garments from when the brand first launched. I was drawn to it for business wear. I looked smart without heading to the dry cleaners. What I bought could be dressed up or down. The color stayed stable. Knees didn’t bag and so on. Meanwhile, the other brands in my closet looked their age. Their initial price was low. However, they didn’t have staying power and had to be replaced. The original garment plus its replacement resulted in a high price. Those Eileen Fisher garments bought way back are worn to this day and look like new. The price was high. Their cost — extremely low.

  10. Well said, Peggy. That is why I mentioned cost-per-wear…I have had the same experience as you. Thanks for sharing.

  11. I too have several Eileen Fisher garments. I still remember the first one I purchased, it was a black sweater with snaps at the front . It is 90% wool yet soft and does not itch. You can snap one closure for a more asymmetrical look or snap both . It was purchased at least ten years ago . I found it on the sale rack for $66. I thought it was a lot but my oh my the sweater is classy and I love it still. I have worn it like a sweater jacket and even a shaw. And can I tell you about the black sheath with the v cut out at the neck, in the back. I could go on and on . Wear it well whatever you buy!

  12. I am shopping for my audience today…and I do agree that there are many timeless pieces.

  13. The fall color choices look lovely on you. The lighter toned green with the dark navy looks wonderful and I’m going to try that as green is not in my palette. Wearing it with navy would allow me to get away with it. Thank you for letting me see these beautiful timeless clothes.

  14. It baffles me that some of your readers feel they can dictate your content based on their personal preferences. I really enjoy the variety of price points that you feature, and I hate that you have to justify that. I find inspiration in items from the higher end brands that I can often replicate at a lower price point. EF has long been a staple in many women’s closets, and I agree that we need to consider “cost per wear” vs. “purchase price.” Nordstrom also has good sales on EF pieces, and I am pretty sure that’s where most of mine came from, along with a few I found on eBay. That blue/green combo reminds me so much of your MOG dress, and looks so nice on you, but I love all these fall color options. I pulled a small capsule wardrobe together last weekend, featuring summer weight pieces in fall colors. It’s a very small group, but for the next week or so it’s all I’m wearing. Praying for rain and cooler temps to arrive soon!

  15. I am praying for the same thing…it has been warm here when I expected cooler weather. The blue & green look does remind me of that dress…thanks for noticing that. I do not think the majority of women who comment about the high prices want to dictate to me what to cover. I think they are frustrated with the state of the economy, and they do not realize that it comes off badly to criticize others who have the money and choose to wear higher end brands. I just want everyone to respect the other and know I will cover different price points for all. It has been awhile since I received a comment or email asking…why in the world would you share something that costs this much? Perhaps by tackling it head on today, I have stifled such remarks. Thanks for the support, Lorri.

  16. I feel like I’m missing something with this brand. When I look at the clothes on their website, it looks so shapeless, boxy and boring, but I know that other women love them. They can’t all be wrong! Do they not translate well on the page or…?

  17. What gorgeous Fall pieces! How I wish we had Dillards here- none at all! I love everything I’m seeing! And you look so happy- your hair is beautiful too!

  18. I have an EF felted fuchsia kimono jacket that I bought at a second hand shop in 2010 that everyone compliments when I wear it. I love this jacket and wear it frequently. So have fun thrifting, you might find a treasure like I did.

  19. The images are not the best. This is a brand that often you can size down for best fit…and I love the fit of the pants. EF has its own fan base…women who love it.

  20. Loved some of these colors and like the styles, I’m not a fan of real close fitted style. Yes I’m 5’1.5 and wear a size 4. That Brahmin is gorgeous!!. I love Patricia Nash purses, Dillards have them and she has some new ones out.

  21. I know…it is difficult to walk quickly through the Dillards handbag department…so much to see!

  22. I love the look of the EF pieces and wondering if it would be worth a look at the “used” website. Isn’t that Eilen Fisher Renew? In taking a peek, there’s a massive price differential. I have never had EF but I might consider purchasing the “used” especially with the timeless appeal.

  23. I think it would be worth it…especially since the brand does last and launder well (on the washable pieces). I have purchased it at the past in thrift shops. Take a look and see what you think.

  24. I truly miss the beautiful EF skirted leggings that were part of my weekend wardrobe for years! Flattering, comfy, versatile. Wish EF would bring them back!
