2024 Fashion Trends: Tweed
And it is Saturday once again! Welcome to the weekly 2024 Fashion Trends discussion with this week being 2024 Fashion Trends: Tweed.
Since tweed is official in the 2024 fashion trends, we are seeing more options of tweed and tweed available at all brands and at all price points.
I know…I know…tweed is a classic and in style no matter the year.
Just know that you can style your tweed with your jeans, trousers, skirts, or dresses and you will be on trend.
I began with a casual look on purpose …tweed does not have to be dressed up but will elevated your more casual style.
The top picture is from Land’s End.
It is the WOMEN’S TWEED BLAZER in navy…comes in three colors.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: TWEED AT MANY PLACES
We are accustomed to seeing tweed in more structured jackets, so this softer version is a nice option.
This is the J.JILL TWEED-TEXTURED SWEATER-JACKET.
I have not seen it with my own eye, but I do believe this affordable tweed jacket at Kohl’s looks like an expensive one.
This is the KOHL’S WOMENS NINE WEST CROPPED BUTTON-FRONT JACKET.
JC Penney’s also has a nice tweed jacket.
I could see this with a black turtleneck and dark or black jeans and boots…tres chic!
This is the JC PENNEY BLACK LABEL BY EVAN-PICONE SUIT JACKET.
I found several tweed styles at Macy’s, so I picked a couple I thought you might like to see.
This is MACY’S ON 34th TWEED COLLARLESS JACKET that was created just for Macy’s.
Again, this jacket is pricey for some, but looks very nice.
I like the colors in it, and as with most tweed, this jacket would really take jeans up a notch.
This is the MACY’S TAHARI Women’s Bouclé Round-Neck Jacket.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: TWEED AT YOUR FAVORITE PLACES
Those who know me know that I love this color at Talbots. I do own some pieces in the dark walnut…a beautiful brown.
And doesn’t it look great in tweed?
This is the TALBOTS FRINGE TWEED CROPPED JACKET.
What is wonderful about all of these tweed garments in the 2024 fashion trends, is that they will still be in style in 2025 and you can look winter chic.
This is the TALBOTS TWEED JACKET IN SUNFLOWER PLAID.
Just click TALBOTS TWEED to see more styles.
This tweed and denim jacket is one of my favorite styles for tweed this season.
I did see this one in store and it is a great jacket.
This is the CHICO’S TWEED AND DENIM TRIM JACKET...and it is on sale!
Another popular Chico’s tweed jacket is this lovely red.
This is the CHICO’S DOUBLE-BREASTED SWEATER JACKET.
Now, if you want to see more tweed at Chico’s just click on CHICO’S TWEED.
I am closing out the 2024 Fashion Trends with tweed jackets today with Ann Taylor.
They always have lovely options in the 2024 fashion trends.
This is the ANN TAYLOR LUREX TWEED JACKET and it is also on sale.
AND for many more tweed options just go to ANN TAYLOR TWEED.
Or just gently say tweed with accessories.
This is a cute ballet flat.
It is the ANN TAYLOR CAP TOE TWEED BALLET FLAT.
2024 FASHION TRENDS: NEW ARRIVALS
Earlier this week, I had tweed and more for you in the post with Leigh Ann.
Just check out CHICO’S HOLIDAY ARRIVALS WITH LEIGH & ME.
And I found tweed and more in the new arrivals for Liz Claiborne at JCP.
You can find all the looks at LIZ CLAIBORNE NEW ARRIVALS AT JC PENNEY.
There is much to see here for your holiday looks or winter wardrobe.
How do you feel about wearing tweed this year?
Just leave your thoughts on the 2024 Fashion Trends: Tweed…I will be here tomorrow with Sunday Reflections…until then…

I’m a long-time member of #TeamTweed! It checks off so many of my classic style adjectives, and is so versatile. Dress it up or down, wear it with jeans or a pencil skirt; so many great options. You’ve rounded up some great looks here, and I fell hard for the Chico’s double breasted sweater jacket in the gorgeous burgundy shades. It checks off all the features that I struggle to find in a tweed jacket – collared, slightly longer, more fitted through the body, etc. In fact, I’m hoping it might be the perfect topper for the satin pants I recently ordered from Old Navy after your post on the satin trend. I have two dresses it should match, and it could also be dressed down with jeans. Now I have to see if I can justify keeping the dramatic sequin sleeved sweater you showed us earlier in the week, and the matching jewelry. No more of a social life than I have, it’s hard to justify strictly evening pieces in my closet, especially since my closet space is about to be reduce by at least half. I feel like this tweed jacket is an elevated look that could work for holiday events, but is more versatile. I’m also going to try a Chico’s Lurex cardigan and matching tank, which could be worn separately or together in a lot of ways. Thanks for keeping us abreast of these current trends. Suddenly it feels like shopping is fun again!
I have heard that from others…that shopping if fun again for many reasons!
I’m firmly on team tweed! I actually prefer the Scottish style, with a finer weave and more muted, earthy colors, but these bright ones are fun too. So versatile! I like mine styled down with plenty of leather … boots and a nice big leather bag. I agree a jacket like this would hit the sweet spot for a festive holiday outfit that still could be worn afterward.
Thanks for sharing your love of tweed!
I love tweed and the jackets you showed today are gorgeous. Most of them are classic and will look great for years to come. I was ready to order the J Jill but my size is already sold out. I will check back though in case of returns. I loved the red tweed jacket from Lands End but alas its not offered in petites. Chico’s jackets are really attractive but the current collection doesn’t favor my autumn palette. I have last years tan & black tweed sweater jacket (I think you have the same one) and look forward to wearing it when the fall weather finally comes. I don’t know if or when our J Jill, Chico’s and Talbot’s will reopen after the devastation of Helene. Yesterday there was an online fashion show for a woman who owns two small boutiques. She lost her home in the hurricane and one of her shops though not damaged is not able to be open. The show was a lot like the one you showed from an Abilene shop. The models looked fabulous and had a lot of fun. I will visit her store in my town today and buy some things to help her. Its a lovely store and, Pam, you would love the clothing.
Hi Kathie…if they do another fashion show for this reason, please send me the link and I will share it. Would love to help her.
I love the J.Jill jacket…so sad it is out of stock in my size already.
Looks like it is selling fast.
Lovely tweed. I have always liked the classic preppy look. Pam, you have highlighted a beautiful collection here. They are all stunning.
I love tweed but generally have what I need. l like the Chico’s blue tweed, but I can never find Petites in things I like. The key thing I wonder is … wide lapels have been on trend for a while. I think we’re ready for a change, which means that these jackets are not going to stand the test of time unless we have a tailor narrow the lapels when the time comes. What do you think is going to happen with lapels?
On another note, is Brian giving any kind of discount to you to pass along to us? I bought the neck creme and like it. I’d like to try other things, but most of it is really pricey. Thanks.
I’m drawn to the On 34th deep blue/black tweed collarless jacket. I like a tweed jacket with a simple blouse and ponte dress pant, with bonus points if I can find a lovely scarf that echoes the colors in the jacket. Otherwise, I go the more casual route which I think of as a 1980s Ralph Lauren kind of styling, cream turtleneck, tweed jacket, jeans, and then saddle colored leather boots and bag, polished gold earrings.
Happy 🥕 🍎 Saturday!
I like tweed for its classic look & style, & it is nice to see tweed jackets in fabrics that don’t include wool as I am highly allergic to wool, breaking out in hives is not attractive. I love the Land’s End jacket especially in the red, & it is 100% cotton. You mentioned that the lovely gold jacket you wore was a bit scratchy. I have found that to be the case with many metallics, so I try to keep in mind that a long-sleeved top might be necessary.
Thanks Marcia…there is so much tweed to see right now!
I have heard nothing about lapels, but will let you know if I do. And I will talk to Brian and see if he would consider a savings code for the audience.
I included the On 34th jacket because it was different and a bit more casual. I think it would be a great addition to a wardrobe with classic tweed. Thanks Connie!
That was only with the JCP jacket…the Chico’s metallic doesn’t itch! Want to clarify. Thanks Becky!
I’m with Connie! Loved the classic Ralph Lauren casual yet sophisticated look. I have always lived where there are cold winters and tweed wool jackets and skirts are big in my clothing history. Love your selections today! Our snowstorm finally ended early this morning and the sun is out. It is only 36 degrees but feels wonderful! The mountains are gorgeous with their snowy mantle. Brent had to go out a shovel our artificial pet turf in the backyard for the third time as 18” of snow is over Trix’s head!
I like tweed and have tried a few jackets. I prefer the lighter colors on me and the cropped jackets.
Sounds wonderful and beautiful! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing Audrey!
