Celebrate Fall Colors with Fall Outfits

fall outfits

Happy Friday!  Today I would like to show you how I celebrate fall colors with fall outfits.

Of course, it helps me to celebrate fall colors with fall outfits when I am in the autumn color palette.

So, if I look like a walking celebration of fall, that is fine with me.

Many of you know that my style adjectives are polished, approachable, creative, current, and joyful.

I explain Why I dress with Style Adjectives in this post.

It is important to me for all of my fall outfits to tell the world I am those five adjectives without speaking a word.

And to say that I am creative means I celebrate fall colors.

So, come along for my discussion on how I celebrate fall colors with fall outfits.

CELEBRATE FALL COLORS WITH FALL OUTFITS: FOR THE BOLD

fall outfits

For many of us, it takes a little courage and determination to be bold to wear the vibrant colors of fall.

I love this saffron yellow I am wearing today…at first, I wasn’t sure how often I would wear the color, but now I celebrate it.

This cotton barn jacket was orginally purchased at Target a few years back when out shopping with Leigh Ann.

I fell for it…and purchased another in olive green.  I like the fit, wear, ease to clean, and the price was excellent.

The fall color top underneath has also become a favorite in my fall outfits.

It is the J.JILL LUXE SUPIMA PLEAT-BACK TEE in the beautiful color called Adriatic.

This top Is so soft and the color is gorgeous…I wear it alone and under a third piece.

It is currently on sale in many colors.  I highly recommend it.

I am so glad to have barn jackets…also called utility jackets…in my wardrobe for fall outfits.

If I were shopping for one today, I would definitely consider this QVC JOAN RIVERS QUILTED BARN COAT WITH PLAID LINING…good price and I love the dark olive color.

Or perhaps this LL BEAN WOMENS 1924 FIELD COAT in the Canyon Rust.

This coat may be worth the price if you are outdoors often.

Their products are indestructible and more for those whose fall outfits are for outdoors.

I do want to celebrate this fall color!  It looks lovely and I like the collar and cuff detail.

CELEBRATE FALL COLORS WITH FALL OUTFITS: SAY IT WITH ACCESSORIES

fall outfits

I celebrate fall colors with fall outfits often just in accessories.

Today, I am wearing a brand I have supported and continue to support…World Finds.

These talented women are artisans I love from India and I wear their work often.

Today, I am celebrating fall colors in the KANTHA GARLAND NECKLACE, and the KANTHA TASSEL NECKLACE.

I have many accessories from scarves to necklaces in fall colors for my fall outfits.

CELEBRATE FALL COLORS WITH FALL OUTFITS: FOR A GOOD CAUSE

fall outfits

Kathie, a wonderful member of this blog community, told me about these ladies and how they are assisting hurricane Helene victims in her area.

These ladies…who wear their fall colors in fall outfits so well…are with a boutique called The Grapevine.

Don’t they look like tons of fun?

They host online Facebook live fashion shops and a portion of the sales go to the victims…Kathie purchased two jackets during the last one.

Well another is coming up tomorrow morning:

Checkout The Grapevine Facebook Page.

This is another cause I am honored to support….women owned businesses, small business, and an event with a purpose.

Thanks to Kathie for letting me know about this.

Thank you for being here this week…yesterday’s post was further confirmation that we have a long way to get back to kindness, but we all can choose to make a positive difference.

Hope to see you tomorrow for one more in the 2024 Fashion Trends…I did a little research on this one and made a wonderful discovery….until then….

  1. Are you experimenting with AI?several of your recent posts’ first couple of paragraphs have been very repetitive. For example, please see how many times the phrase “celebrate fall colors” is used.

  2. I am a writer and do not use AI. But anyone with a website uses SEO…search engine optimization. You must repeat keywords in order for SEO to increase. It is not my favorite way to write, but I practice it. I do NOT ever use AI…I am the only writer for my posts.

  3. You look pretty in yellow too! Amazing! Do few women I know can pull this off- but you do!
The Grapevine group sounds like a wonderful group for getting things done- helping in catastrophes. I applaud them!
    Have a lovely weekend!

  4. I like wearing fall colors, and we’ve had a lengthy fall this year with such beautiful colors in nature! I recently donated a barn jacket from LLBean that I had for probably 20 years, no kidding, and it was still good enough to donate! I’m just ready for a new color, and rust is really speaking to me. They seem perfect for the days that require a jacket, but not a heavy one. I like the color of yours.

  5. I love the colorful clothes of India and they are not tight.
Wish I could wear yellow not an autumn. You look so nice in the saffron jacket 😍

  6. Every time I wear that saffron color, or even a brighter goldenrod, I get compliments. I do find it difficult to mix, as blue/gold, black/gold, and brown/gold are nearby college colors (blue/gold particularly problematic because it is our local university colors, as well as those of the University of Michigan). Lately I’ve been mixing it with a neutral and a third autumnal color, as I often see you do. It really is a lovely color for those who can wear it. I particularly love it with deep eggplant.

  7. We were dealing with some water damage yesterday and the insurance company and contractors, so I didn’t get to read all of yesterday’s post about kindness until this morning. I loved yours and all of your readers’ wonderful comments – they were so inspiring to me! Kindness is so needed in this world today. My dad was a Southern gentleman who taught me to “Give everyone you meet a smile. (It may be the only one they get today),” and that has served me well my whole life. My husband’s family is Italian, so we feed everyone who comes into the house. I baked cookies for the workmen yesterday while they were here and they were so grateful, it warmed my heart. There’s no doubt that little acts of kindness can spread happiness. You are a superb example of this, Pamela. I also believe that if more children were raised with kindness, it would eliminate so many problems in this world.

  8. So sorry to hear you were dealing with water damage…that is always stressful. Thank you for being here despite what you have going on.

  9. I love that yellow jacket on you. Autumn is probably my favorite season but I can’t wear the colors because I have cool coloring. But you do look great in those colors.
I didn’t have time to comment yesterday on kindness but I feel the same way as you. Where did kindness go in our culture? We need to work on that.

  10. Autumn colors are my best too. I really like that golden yellow on you. Last Saturday the Grapevine live stream showed a golden mustard long denim jacket and I purchased it. I love it though I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet. I’ll try it with the Adriatic tee which I also have. Along with jeans I think it will go with deep teal, brown, olive green, rust, etc. My college colors were brown & gold BTW. I have a Land’s End barn jacket from the 1980s when the quality was right up there with LL Bean. I still wear it to walk the dogs. The cuffs are fraying but its otherwise it fine and comes out of the wash looking like new if you don’t look at the cuffs. I may try to do something about them. Thank you Pam for featuring the Grapevine’s live stream. It was fun last week. The have some unique items.

  11. I love seeing you and other autumns in fall colors but I can’t wear them at all. I’m a cool summer and yellow or rust would make me look jaundiced. I’m looking at my pillar crabapple tree which just turned color from purplish leaves to rust and gold over night. My other trees are already bare but this little tree is shining in its glory. It is all of your best colors in nature. It is lovely to see so much color just before every tree is a grey spectre. We still have some snow left on the mountains which shines in the sunlight. Have a wonderful weekend!

  12. I have always loved seasonal outerwear, and you’ve found some great options for us! If I could justify a new jacket I would get that rust LL Bean style. Fall is my favorite season for both weather and clothing, and I wish we had more of it this year. I appreciate the color combinations you feature, as they often give me new ideas for wearing items I already own. In fact, you have reminded me of a great scarf I bought last year at the end of the fall season and haven’t worn, so I’m going on a treasure hunt in my own closet. Looking forward to seeing what you’ve found for us tomorrow through your research.

  13. You look lovely in that saffron jacket. While fall colors are not in my color wheel, I admire them on those who can wear them. The closest I can come is burgundy. I do wear them in my accessories. Today, I am wearing a black top accessorized with a black scarf featuring autumn leaves in olive, gold & burgundy red.

  14. I love the World Finds Kantha necklace. I ordered it a few weeks ago when I first saw it in your post. It is even more beautiful than it appears in photos. I ordered two but find I look better with just one. The extra will make a great gift for one of my friends. Thanks for featuring this great find. I love supporting Fair Trade communities.

  15. I am still not receiving your posts in email messages. Is there something I can do to help get them back? Love all the fall colors you showed today.

  16. I love that rust L L Bean coat but alas most sizes are sold out. I am going to check out the Grapevine live stream tomorrow. Thanks for always showcasing new places for us to explore!

  17. I will see if there is any way to remedy it. I do have a blog Facebook page where I put the posts daily and you can go straight to http://www.over50feeling40.com and there is a new post there just about every day. I will let you know if I learn something about the email.
